I dont even know where to begin with reviewing this horrific experience we had at this property. The house is NOT a luxury booking, and should never be listed for the price it is. The host is uncontactable before, during or after the stay. The accommodation is unsafe and not secure. There is no parking on site, and the rest of the shared space is a glorified hostel. We "checked in" without anyone on site and after seeing what we walked into, we called Expedia and said we could not leave our family here. They said it was up to the host to honor a refund. We tried calling, messaging, dm'ing on social and emailing with no response either. I spent that evening driving around with my three young children in tears looking for somewhere else to stay after an 8 hour travel day in peak holiday period. They charged us almost 1k a night for a scam. We received an email the next day saying they refused to refund us. And Expedia said, that was all they could do. The next day we went back to the accommodation and saw that there were people living in it, and it was listed as booked online. We confirmed this with the guests. Not only is this highly illegal but immoral and disgusting that Expedia and this host could allow this to happen. We are still fighting them on our refund. I will not stand by and allow anyone else to be scammed like we were for something this despicable. Shame on you Azur.

The room itself is lovely, I note there is minimal soundproofing and a lot of shared common areas, it is important to know that the hotel allows parties so if you are a light sleeper (like me) don't stay here unless you plan on spending your nights listening to other visitors' drunken midnight conversations and stomping around.

Do yourself a favor and book it!
Perfect place for couples - away from the main town and has nice side streets to cut down onto the beach. Pool is beautiful and the family that runs it, is lovely.

Do not stay there
The worst stay after nearly 2 months travelling Australia. All these things have been brought up, but nothing happened so far apart from replys of the same person who is responsible for the mess and accousing us from lying. Good thing, pictures do not lie.... Up to this day no reply from owner/manager. A short list: The toilet rim was covered in Sh**, no idea how this could not have been seen by the cleaner. There was a syringe still lying in the bathroom. The safe was broken and the sink would not drain for hours, hence we had to clean our teeth in the shower. Once we got hold of the receptionist-manager she did clean the dirt, but the toilet wasn’t clean still. Also, she apparently put a liquid into the drainage - which made no difference at all. A broken jar in the kitchen caused my partner with a small eye injury, which had to be checked and medicine was required. We also mentioned this and no one even offered to reimburse the doctors fee or anything at all. We also mentioned our issues to the apparent brother of the manager (who told us his brother/owner was overseas) who said he would get in touch, which never happened so far. He also admitted that they were not satisfied with the current receptionist/manager. We also wrote a complaint e-mail which was answered saucily by the same receptionist/manager who was no help in the first place. Spare your time and money and stay at any other place in Byron. We have no idea how they achieved such good rating.

The best luxury villa in Byron bay
It was my birthday trip.we were very satisfied with this luxry resort. Maybe nexttime i will stay again here

Byron Bay retreat
With only 6 rooms it was less like a hotel. Room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The communal kitchen area was a wonderful addition where there was complimentary juices, coffee tea etc and breakfast items. Complimentary Netflix was a great bonus. would have loved to use the spa but was covered so figured not working and no one to ask. Overall a cool place to stay. Would stay again

Definitely Recommended
Amazing accommodation and the hot tub was fantastic. Check in was a breeze and it’s only a short stroll to the Byron Bay town centre and far enough that it’s quiet. Would definitely recommend to anyone else.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Pool area was great, like a little oasis. Close enough to town to walk, just far enough away to get away from all the craziness. Would definitely stay again.

Good location, and excellent that there is off street parking included. Bathroom had a few leaks - toilet and shower need a little maintenance; and the bathroom sink was plumbed with the hot water on the right (which gave me a scare as I brushed my teeth).

We made a very late booking, Abby was incredibly helpful. Great place for a family, felt like home and found it hard to leave. A 5 min easy walk to town. Will be back for sure

Good for overnight stays.
Good parking, nice room, limited privacy as your room faces out to common areas and has CCTV, friendly resident cat, limited common kitchen, small Weber BBQ, hot plate doesn’t work, basic breakfast supplies provided, well presented property, clean pool, smelly spa, no room service unless you ask (we asked on the 5th day) and we stayed for 10 nights, 10 minute walk to Byron Bay shops and beach, OK value for price.

Fantastic hotel with great amenities and staff
Fantastic hotel, with great rooms in a 'beach/forest hut' style. Although this hotel is extremely central, close to the beach and the town center, it felt like we really had our own area of privacy and somewhere away from the main hustle bustle of the town. With a pool and a jacuzzi, this hotel offers the option to relax around the room, which we utilized on the day that the weather was cloudy. The staff and owners are also very friendly and welcoming, ensuring that all our needs were met. Also, great, free, easy, convenient on road parking was great. Thank you very much for welcoming us to your hotel and we look forward to coming back.

Adults only doesn't mean adult behaviour
Unfortunately we stayed whilst a group of young guys decided it was a great idea to overrun the hot tub all afternoon allowing no one else to use it and subsequently stayed up all night drinking, swearing and yelling in the communal areas including the pool and hot tub. We asked them to stop repeatedly (which was a scary situation to be put in) and had to ring management but they weren't onsite so no resolution. It honestly ruined our stay. Lack of privacy as room looks straight out to communal area so makes the room quite dark having to keep curtains drawn. Onsite management would have saved all the guests staying that weekend from a terrible stay. Was given a refund for that night and offended guests kicked out. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place then maybe consider elsewhere or find out what other guests are staying.

Nice hotel with a closenet vibe
We really enjoyed our stay here, the room was great and the bed was huge. Only negatives was that the hot tub looked unclean and that they were doing construction improvements when we arrived, this stopped over the weekend.

The guesthouse ticked all the boxes for us: clean, close to everything, convenient parking, wi-fi. Staff were also really helpful.

Staff rude and inconsiderate
Rang reception to discuss the booking the man was extremely rude and cut me off mid sentence. He said he would call me back and hung up before getting my details. The adult aged children of the owners were making noise in the swimming pool after midnight with friends so we were unable to get to sleep. Could be a nice place to stay otherwise...

Ruhiger Bungalow in perfekter Lage!!!
Wunderschönes Zimmer in einem separaten Bungalow mit eigener Terrasse. Highlight ist definitiv das Kingsize Bett, auf welchem man wie auf einer Wolke schläft!! Modernes Design und tolles Bad!!! Free WiFi hat super geklappt und war schneller als an jedem Ort wo wir bis jetzt waren. Der Pool ist mega und ein weiteres Highlight ist der Whirlpool!! Hier kann man perfekt entspannen und ist gleichzeitig überall in nur 5 Gehminuten!!! Wir würden immer wieder kommen!!!

Decent place in walking distance to beach and city
When we arrived for check in, for my husbands birthday, they were fairly non interested, and pointed us to our room. While he wasn't rude, it would have been nice if he had made the effort of putting a shirt on so he could show us our room. The rooms were clean, and the cleaner was very nice, but never saw either of the owners again. I didn't mind so much except that it felt a bit like they are a bit over having people stay with them so didn't put in any effort, to the point of neglect. Didn't see them at check out either. For the price charged it's fairly disappointing. The location is good though, as it is a 5 minute walk to the main beach and centre of town, and there is parking and a nice plunge pool, which helped as the sea conditions were so bad we couldn't swim there at the time.

Beautiful guesthouses with private plunge pool
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Aaron's in guesthouse 2. The king size bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The beach and downtown was minutes only minutes away on foot. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay
The host was totally awesome and was very helpful in assisting with planning our activities during our stay. The guest house was very nice with all the creature comforts required for our stay. Excellent location far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to the beach and restaurant precinct.

Beautiful Setting and Great Service
Our New Year's stay here was perfect. The room and private bathroom were cool,spacious and luxurious. There was also a fantastic resort style pool and outdoor jacuzzi. There was a bar fridge in the room, but also a separate full-size kitchen for the use of all guests. And there were only 4 other rooms on the property so common facilities didn't have to be shared by too many people and it was relatively quiet. It was literally only a 5 minute walk to the centre of town and the beach. And to cap it all off Alec, our host, was very helpful, and generously gave us a nice New Year's present of champagne and a box of chocolates. We will definitely stay again when we return.
