Hi SteveThis is head office replyingWe do apologise for your experience but don't feel we are all to blame here.We only own one hotel in Cairns, the cab driver should know there are two similar ones and asked for which one you were staying at, you also requested we pay the cab fare - not our fault sorry.As far as the people and the district is concerned, there were a few people outside causing a small ruckus that were moved on there was no actual fighting. The area is not as you describe it, we have nothing but great reviews and primarily very happy guestsRegarding your refund, I believe the manager asked you to send an email requesting your refund so he could help process it which has to go back through Expedia, I believe you didn't do that.
