Hi. We have spent 4 nights there. It's fantastic, but there are some issues that need to be addressed. Room 6 does not have a working TV. WiFi and internet are not available. There is no shampoo or toothpaste available. I inquired about the possibility of checking in early when we arrived at 11am, but they informed me that there will be a cleaning process until 2pm. Our infant Baby and we flew from Brisbane at 2pm, which was the standard check-in time. Thanks. Dill

We stayed for 6 nights, lovely queen bed and triple bunk beds. The cabins are very homey and comfortable, and a nice big fridge. And the swimming pool was clean and big enough to cater for children of all ages. A couple of posts on the verandah needed to be welded, I was surprised that within 12 hours a very nice young man had supplied new posts and it was as good as new. If you are looking for upmarket accommodation then this is not the place for you, however if you would rather spend your money enjoying your holiday, then the comfortable cabins have more space and are only half the price of other advertised hotels etc., definately recommend for families looking for space, and cooking facilities and excellent air con

Property is described as close to bus route however service is highly limited and far from the CBD. Upon check in, we found dead bugs, ants, mold, linen with holes, and stains on the floor. We did not feel comfortable staying within the property and opted to book elsewhere. Staff were pleasant and tried to accommodate but offered no compensation for poor room condition and the many issues we discovered within 10 minutes of arrival.

The Units are old but have been recently renovated, nice, very tidy, comfortable bed, full size fridge & nice kitchen plus a second room. Only problem the dinning chairs are old and unsafe as one collapsed with out warning and my wife ended up on the floor, thankfully unhurt.

The chalet had almost all the basic necessities. A water jug for the fridge and some bbq utensils would have come in handy. Great base location to explore cairns. Good parking. Great pool for the kids with two thirds of it being shallow. Nice view of the mountains. The real let down was a lot of people who stay there are very rough having no regard for others, playing loud music in the early hours of the morning, pooping in the gardens around the pool, leaving rubbish, general unfriendliness and trouble making. Not just one group of people who came through were like this, there were a handful. Management didn’t take any interest in handling these individuals/groups.

Two bedroom cabin was awesome. Main aircon pretty old and noisy, toilet door didnt lock and tap kinda broken in bathroom, though it worked. Was very quiet, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and replaced towels and gave me extra sheets and pillows when needed. Cannot at all complain given the price. The locals were all friendly, and my kids had a ball playing in the pool with other kids. Overall very good..:) Would definately stay in the 2 bed cabin again. Thankyou

Sunland provides very good value for money. I rated the property condition and facitlities as I have because the cabin and toilets are old. But they are maintained, clean and everything works. Also the security is good and guests are told clearly to take care of their possessions. I got everything I needed and expected. The grounds are fine and what I would expect in Cairns in the wet season, paying the price I did.

Budget Buster Villa was excellent value for money. It was basic, but very spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend.

No wifi unless at office area. Deal breaker for our kids. 2 large cockroaches in one bedroom. No slide in pool area. Shade sails old and tatty. Whole pool area needs attention. Park needs some water, painting and updating. No reception on tv. Top priority needs to be fixing lack of internet throughout the park. Good things: lack of noise, central location, lots of bbqs throughout the park, good size cabins with full size fridge and cooking facilities. Office staff friendly as kids spent quite a bit of time there using their internet connection.

The property needed a little updating hot plates one of them wouldn't work and was slightly rusted and starting to fall apart. The other worked but was slow to heat up even when turned up to high. Otherwise it was alright.

Gardens unwatered dry and half dead, pool was not chlorinated - my cabin had many smoke burns on floor and looked dirty, the biscuits I bought were covered in ants I put them in the microwave and came back and there were hundreds in the microwave, I spoke to the manager and she gave me fly spray. I would not recommend this park.

This was the single most disgusting cabin I've ever been to. The second I opened the door to this place I was smacked with the strongest mould smell I've ever experienced. Like so strong my nostrils and throat were stinging. The door to the cabin showed signs of forced entry and the area felt unsafe. Within 5 minutes of being there I couldn't stand another second of being there so I booked another hotel elsewhere and left. Can't stress enough to anyone reading this to NEVER EVER STAY THERE. Cairns city council should have it shut down. And Wotif should discontinue to advertise this place as it was shockingly disgusting and not fit for people to inhabit ever.
