가격 대비 위치, 공간이 적당함
후기에 케언즈 시내와 떨어져 있다고 되어있지만 워낙 작은 도시라 길만 익히면15분 내로 다 걸어다닐 수 있고, 바로 앞에 버스 정류장과 다른 호텔내에 딸려 있는 버스 정류장이 있어서 편리하게 이용가능. 혹 버스를 이용하는 날에는 하루동안 계속 승하차 가능하니 여기저기 돌아다녀도 되고,아침에 과일도 주고(일찍 일어나야 과일 종류가 많음), 빵도 구워먹고 가격 대비 좋았습니다. 객실 내에 청소만 (=가구 뒤나 밑)좀 아쉬웠는데 이 부분은 어딜가도 좀 아쉬운 부분이라 패스!

I like to have the bedding linen changed which did not happen in this case. I feel bad in keep requesting the same thing. I am positive that the day I checked in, the linen was filthy as I had bites.It was not changed by previous customers. After staying in hotels, I can tell when the linen has not been changed or the bedsheets had people lying on it.The hotel did change on the next day but that was it.

the room was very small. We were directed to the most expensive restaurant in town rather than given a choice. We were kept awake all night by the gusts next door - who literally partied all night. We told reception who apologised but didnt really go beyond a "sorry" - offering to help us with our luggage would have sufficed but - nothing.

We liked that it was quiet. The pool was beautiful and cool even in the afternoon of what was a very hot day. I room was very clean and tidy. All the facilities like the air conditioner, fan, tv and fridge all worked well.

Near hospital so very important for me. I had to wait at 19.30 for 3/4 hour for someone to open the front door as the person on duty said he was having ‘tea’ dinner. I’m 80 years old .lucky somebody on the street side phoned the property to open the outside gate . Once on the property I had to wait 3/4 hour till front door was opened and i was let in. Then clean room and complementary breakfast for the treatment I received.

Average but ok Motel, not Hotel.
Advertised as a hotel but is a motel. Average but ok place. Photo of breakfast area was misleading. At time of booking breakfast area shown with timber decking and outlook onto trees was the only one visible on hotels.com. After checking the pool area was nice but the breakfast area was nothing like the photos. The room we received had 3 single beds with two pushed together to form a double. A very hard ridge in the middle was evident with no topper or so to mesh the mattresses together. No attempt at making illusion of a double. Rooms look out to car park of motel next door. Continental breakfast was quite basic. Bathroom was large, shower was small. We were in room 22. One bonus was the wifi working quite well. We booked The Balinese "Motel" to save a few $ to commit those to tours and experiences. Regardless of the price paid we felt the Balinese misrepresents itself on Hotels.com and warn others to read reviews regarding. If you want an average but ok motel that is well priced this is for you. If you were expecting a hotel and the breakfast area to look as depicted please look elsewhere however expect to pay a little more. Photo of breakfast area won't load in this review. Photo taken from hotels.com website. Great location short walk to the town & harbour. Everything you need for a Cairns trip. Room was comfortable, clean & the shower was one of the most powerful & brilliant I’ve ever stood under. & the fridge in room & light breakfast that was included was an added bonus.

Nice hotel very close to Cairns Base Hospital. Once windows are closed you can't hear outside traffic or overhead planes.

Comfortable, clean, quiet and good value
The Balinese was an excellent base from which to explore Far North Qld. The bed was comfortable, the room a generous size, well appointed, and kept spotlessly clean, the wifi working, the staff friendly and the parking free and convenient. There is no "view" from the rooms but the the location is quiet and the site is secured at night. We feel it provided good value for money and would be happy to return.

I arrived and the general condition of the hotel is old and a bit run down which is ok if upon arriving in the room a mouse hadn't run out of the closet when i went to put my bag away. At this point i decided that i really didnt want to stay here and went down to talk to reception who argued with me that i hadnt seen a mouse and refused to refund any of the four nights that i had prepaid for. So it cost me $585.00 for 10 minutes

Great value
This Lake St small motel would be ideal for many on a limited budget, it is close to the regional hospital and if you have a car not too far to central Cairns. The staff are welcoming and keep the rooms tidy and well serviced, with a simple breakfast room it ticks a lot of boxes. Would stay again.

Better than Bali.
The Balinese is a great place that I've stayed at several times now. Sally is always friendly and provides a great facility. Central location near the hospital and a15 minute walk to the city area. Rooms are spotles and a light breakfast which is included beside the pool is a bonus. The rooms are a little dark but apart from that 10 out of 10. Quality Samsung tv's with digital channels as well.

Perfect location :-)
Very clean and quiet, close to the centre. There is a ver small swimming pool with cold water, a little kitchen free of use for the guest (quite clean) and the room+ bathroom was very big and cleaned every day. The location is just 10 minutes walking from the centre in a very quiet area. The only bad thing was the light breakfast: no fresh food and the milk was out of date :-(
