Older and not “fancy”, but had all the necessities: comfortable bed, clean room, good shower, and coffee maker, at a great price!

Before booking the room the Expedia site said there were 2 rooms left at $99 per night. We booked the room and when we recieved the confirmation receipt it said $125 per night.After the 1st night, we left the please clean room notice on the door and it wasn't done. We inquired at the office and the clerk said that the room attendant has signed that they had cleaned the room. On checkout, we were charged an additional $8.50 for room cleaning. When we inquired about the charge the clerk rudely said that we had dogs and that was why the room wasn't cleaned, even though we had our dogs with us and they were never left in the room alone.As well, when checking in, the clerk has you complete the registration card and sign it, which I didn't think anything of, except for the fact that once you sign the card they can then fill in a multitude of charges which you don't owe such as the $8.50 cleaning charge which they didn't do.The clerk was extremely rude and wouldn't let us get a word in.This is the way they do business.As for the room, it was on the ground level, the large windows in front did not lock, of the 5 lights in the room only 2 worked, the light bulbs were unscrewed in 2 others. The heating system was either pumping out 100 degree heat or freezing air conditioning. The hot water from the taps is not regulated and a person could easily get 3rd degree burns in seconds. The room decor is from either the late sixties or early 1970 the only update being laminate flooring.The mat

The property was covered in spiders and spider webs to the point you had to walk through them to get to your room which is absolutely disgusting. The room itself was clean but smelled very musky and wet. It's definitely outdated and the beds are like sleeping on boards.

Nice little hotel

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We stayed one night with our cats before we got on the ferry. It was very clean and well maintained. We’ll stay there again on our return trip!

Loved the placed. There was a nice green space for my small dog to run around in. I didn’t know it the first night but it is really close to a bunch of stuff e.g. food, grocery, fuel etc. and was right off the highway. The restaurant was just closing when I got there so I ordered in from Kenny’s Pizza and it was delicious (highly recommend the lasagna). My initial check-in review said the air conditioner wasn’t working but it was. I’m not able to go back and fix that review so I’m sorry for that!! They also accommodated a late checkout which was nice after a few long days of travel. Would definitely stay there again!

The room was outdated. The door was not sealed properly you could see light when closed. The tv would not work and they would not change the price on the room. We were there for a funeral and relatives two doors down were offered a better rate upon arrival. We will not stay there again. The restaurant food was very good.

Beware of charge for booking online

Had a problem being billed $8.50 for booking online. Booked 2 rooms and was charged this twice
