This was our second stay at the Inn. Last time (2 summers ago), we got to sample two rooms in the Inn itself, both very nice. This time we stayed in the "Koi" room, which is a little separate cottage on the property. We also liked this room a lot, as it has a little covered porch with a bench and chair, nice place to read on the day it poured rain for a couple of hours. If you're looking for "high end" rooms, with all new fancy furniture and fixtures, this is not the place. While beautifully maintained, this Inn is all about the vibe of friendliness and feeling at home. Patrick and John Jay are extremely nice and accommodating, and they know everybody. You're a guest at their home, and made to feel very welcome. Patrick set us up with all our reservations at excellent restaurants, and they were all like, "oh, you're from the Inn at Cook St, we love those guys!" So if you want a place with $2000 dollar faucets in the bathroom, look elsewhere. But if you want to feel like you're in a special, wonderful place, where you feel right right at home, and can't wait to go back - this is it.
