Beau Ridge is an excellent place to stay. The kitchenette is a major plus and came in handy!

Very nice. Clean, comfortable. Located right on beach - just perfect. Nice little eat-in or eat outside restaurant with good food and very friendly, hard working staff. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the pool and small hot tub were not heated, but we vacation more to enjoy the beach and ocean. Two very nice sundecks for basking in the sun as the pool area has limited seating.

Happy with our stay
Wee arrived and while checking in it was revealed that the hotel did not have our reservation even though we paid on hotels.com. They did not have a room for my family. But nevertheless the front desk quickly solved the issue and gave us an oceanview room. The room was beautiful, the view was amazing, and the stay was pleasant. Their pool although small was clean and kids really enjoyed it. Overall it was a good stay and we will definitely be back next year.

Good view of the ocean but not a balcony. external access equals a walkway, not private nor comfortable. Beds too soft and sagged in the middle. Very clean and spacious.

It's OK but very basic
We had two substantial size rooms, living room and a bedroom, and small kitchenette. Big refrigerator. Place is clean, there is room service daily. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was listed as "Oceanview", but you cannot see the ocean from your room. There are no private balcony but instead the gallery along the building, you enter the room from this gallery, and you have partial view of the ocean from the gallery outside of your room. People are walking pass your room all the time. There is the coffee maker in the room, but no coffee, filters or sugar, you have to bring your own. It's OK accommodation, but certainly not a luxury one.

Very nice hotel. Close to the beach. My only complaint was that the family staying next door to us constantly smoked outside their room and we could smell the smoke in our room.

I stayed here for 5 years and will be back. Room was spacious, kitchen is a big plus. My kids love it. Staff is very nice. Only thing the sofa bed mattress is a little worn out . Overrall, a great stay! I’ll recommend this hotel.

Everything was OK overall, nice swimming pool but.
Everything was OK overall, nice swimming pool on site but early daily swimming pool closing was an inconvenience and was quite a surprise, especially with children, they should mention this someplace during booking. We will check this in future stays, will be a deal breaker

Best beds ever!
I stayed at the hotel with 2 teenage girls and we loved it. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever laid on, I missed it when I got back home! The staff was friendly, pool was great and it's only a few steps to the beach. Not to mention the little cafe on the 1st floor, Lemma's Beach Grill - the food was SO good. It was perfect.

Good hotel for its budget. I like there was full kitchen it helped us to save a little bit on breakfasts and dinners. Love the beach. Clean room.

We stayed Memorial Day Weekend. Rooms were very clean and the pool was nice and heated.We enjoyed our stay!

Nice part of the beach
The hôtel as a good location on a Nice part of the Beach in Wildwood Crest. The rooms are clean, missing the individual balcony and a noisy air conditioning system. Never the less we would go back anytime

Overpriced!
Good location, kind staff. Room totally overpriced!!!..the pool area is joke, don't be fooled by the picture on their site, facilities are kind of old and the restaurant is just a small cafeteria, bad choice!

Not bad, but would not go back.
Before writing a review, I always ask myself if I would go back to this location? In this case, the answer is no. It's not a very bad hotel but it's not a very good hotel either. It basically feels like 1975 but it's well maintained. Restaurant on site is very average. Wifi signal is very, very weak (none in the room) and not reliable. Parking has a bump (bad angle of the sidewalk) when you come in or out and I would say, by sitting on the porch (trying to get wifi signal), approximately 30% of vehicles scratched the under front or back bumper. When I politely complained about the Wifi signal, they told me the following (not relevant points): We had a storm yesterday. Next day, are you with AT&T of Verizon? Next day: you have an Apple product, that's why. Next day: your Canadian, ah that's why, you need to go into your settings. Then, after I told them it's not a carrier issue or settings issue and I travel for business and never have carrier or settings issue when public wifi is available, it appeared to be a signal strength (or lack their of) issue, then the started saying you have to sit at the kitchen table to get signal... Basically confirming a signal strength problem. As I said, I would not go back. I would try to find another location. If absolute last place available in Wildwood, then I'd go to Cape May.

Nice Stay at the Beach
I chose the Beau Rivage based on reviews I read online, and it lived up to beexactly what I expected. I gave a 4 for room comfort and condition because it's not a high-priced 5-star hotel, but it was very pleasing for the price. I feel like I got what I paid for and I would definitely recommend it. The room was clean, the maid service was timely and efficient, and the view was awesome!

OK hotel close to beach
The best thing Beau Rivage has going for it is the location perpendicular to the beach. Most of the rooms open to the street, but you have a sideways view down to the water. Not bad. Beach access is right at the end of the hotel. The room includes a main room with a table and chairs, pullout couch, and kitchenette, plus a separate bedroom. On the downside, the furniture is uncomfortable. A great asset is the little Flip-Flop Cafe coffee shop, great for breakfast and lunch. Not a bad choice for a budget hotel. Shop around, there's lots of them.

Close to the beach but I wouldnt call it nice.
The place smelled bad, the employees sat outside in front of the building and smoked, while no one was inside guarding the front desk. They were rude on different occasions. The place was outdated, except for the bathrooms. There were no amenities available, that you didn't have to pay for. There wasn't even coffee in the rooms, which is something I think is necessary in any hotel. There were ash trays setting on the walkway in front of each room, encouraging people to smoke directly outside the hotel room door. Well needless to say, the rooms smelled like smoke and you could not go anywhere without walking directly through someones smoke. The kind of people this hotel attracted, were sketchy, and it made me feel almost unsafe. No thanks, I would rather stay somewhere else.

Office needs to open earlier. Does not open until 9 and lot of people have to check out earlier that that.

Nice place for a beach vacation.
This was our second visit to Beau Rivage. We've met many other guest who had returned for 20 years. A good basic value motel with nice rooms and kitchenettes. Gas grills available too. Soap and shampoos awful, bring your own. Friendly staff. Will stay again.

Nice, clean hotel close to the beach!
We booked this for a short weekend trip, very spur of the moment so I was a little hesitant on what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised!.. the room was clean, bathroom fully renovated with granite counters, new clean appliances and flat screen tv. The only con was you can tell the air conditioning was an old unit. The vents were broken, a little dirty and the room always felt damp and humid. I guess thats from being so close to the beach as well. Overall had a great time and the Flip Flop cafe downstairs was a big plus for breakfast and lunch. I would recommend!

Relaxing weekend in Wildwood
For the most part the hotel was good and we would consider returning again. The room was VERY clean and updated, a nice change from the typical shore motel. The staff we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. We also liked the location...on the beach and far enough away from the busy part of Wildwood but close enough to get to all the attractions quickly. There were a few things that we didn't love but it wouldn't stop us from staying again. First was that it was extremely warm in our room even with the door and window open so we decided to turn the air on. We let it run for awhile but there wasn't any cool air coming out. When I called the front desk they told me they don't have air this time of year. It was a little disappointing considering it was warm out and we couldn't get comfortable. Also, I'm almost positive that I read somewhere that the pool was heated. We quickly found out that wasn't the case...it was super cold. I thought I was mistaken but another family we met also said they were told the pool (small pool area)was heated. Given that it was off season, I wouldn't let those things deter us from trying it again. It can be very hard finding a nice hotel that's clean, in a good location and reasonably priced. I'd like to give it another try during the regular season.

Not a fan.
Parking difficult with all the poles in the area. Elevator dirty and smelly. The only place to sit outside the room was on the walkway with cheap plastic chairs. Room was OK, but the couch was terrible to sit on and the carpet very stained and rooms smelled of smoke.

Really nice friendly and clean place sorrounded by nice hotels close to everything including beach. loved the little kitchen they have recomend it if you want some thing nice and clean.

Just because they have a beautiful deck with pavilion, patio furniture, and grills, don't think you can use it. Their rules of use are very strict and it was used by no one in the 3 days we were there. Other than that, was better than most beach motels.

Motel room smelled horrible of mildew. The stove had aluminum foil underneath the burners that was used and torn. The small wave boards for the beach were over priced by 10.00, they could at least give the guests a discount on them. The pool was very nice and well maintained.

Right on beach
The room was very spacious and the kitchenette was great for preparing meals, which, saved us money from eating out. The staff was very friendly. The one complaint I did have was that there was a funny smell in our room.

This would be a good motel for a family or small group's week at the beach. The room was an efficiency suite, not very romantic, but we didn't stay there all that much. Cleanliness was par. Style of the decor was about mid-1980s, but with better televisions. The staff was generally polite, but the maid didn't clean or bring new towels after the first night, and the front desk called us at 11:05 to inform us that check-out was at 11:00. Really. There is a cute, small pool, and a coffee shop at the back of the building with an ocean view, pastries in cellophane, but decent coffee. It's run by a nice guy. The town of Wildwood Crest itself seems quieter, less glitzy, more family-friendly than Wildwood just to the north. Satisfactory overall. 2.5 stars is a fair rating.
