The staffs at the front desk and 2nd floor restaurant were very very kind and nice. 2nd floor restaurant, the cold food was fresh and I especially enjoyed the chicken from the hot plates. The room condition was good enough to have a rest for myself among the busy business schedule. Seems the room style is different from the position and the each room looked quite nicely organized. I satisfied with the small welcome note and cookie for myself. One curious thing is that I had no idea how to use the alarm radio thing. I definitely will choose this place as my stay when I revisit Cape Town.

Die Lage ist sehr schön, ein bisschen vom Tafelberg kann man sehen. Das Personal ist freundlich. Wir hatten in einer Nacht das Problem, daß die Balkontür bei starkem Wind immer wieder aufging und es dadurch sehr laut und zugig war. Das wurde am nächsten Tag schnell und unkompliziert repariert. Wir haben im Hotel nur gefrühstückt. Das war okay, wurde nach einer Woche etwas eintönig und - very english.

Can be better
Hotel with a beautiful location and exterior but outdated and poorly maintained on the inside. The rooms are extremely outdated, poor lighting that does not work well, toilets need a proper scrub, bathroom doors used as room doors in the 2 bed apartment. though the front desk staff have excellent service - Delano and Ronelle stood out.

The check in process was easy and I was allocated a great room on the 5th floor. Very spacious room with a lounge and I enjoyed me stay. I would recommend and go there again.

Not a Luxury Hotel
we checked in, not a family room, asked for a family room, none was available, Bath was situated in the open where the bed is, we had our 7 yr daughter with us, no TV in the room, furniture was horrible, not comfortable at all. Although what I can say was positive was the staff members that assisted us. Luca is a great asset to your business

I like the fact the the mall was in walking distance. The hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Very lovely area and beautiful rooms.

Loved staying at the Colosseum Hotel. Clean and staff are friendly. However, the Hotel has a tired look and is in desperate need of an update. Everything is exactly the same as 20 years ago and nothing has been upgraded,

The hotel was nice and clean, however the staff were not very accommodating and everything we asked for seemed to be a “mission” for them. Had booked to stay again the next week for a couple nights and have cancelled and are staying somewhere else

We'd certainly recommend staying.
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay. Our room had everything we needed and we loved having the lounge space as well as the fridge and microwave. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, arranging for our taxis to the city centre and organising laundry (to pay for). Our room was cleaned and tea/ coffee/ small water bottle replaced each day. Woolworths next door was handy for snacks to take out for the day. My only negative was the bed was a bit soft for me (that's my personal preference!) Great place, lovely restaurant. We highly recommend the Colosseum Luxury Hotel.

Not what was expected.
Rooms was not as per the pictures seen online. Also no tv in room while in bed. have to sit on a seperate small couch and watch the bare minimum stations available on tv. the shower is right next to the toilet which makes everything wet inside. not very nice.

Great place to stay!
Very nice stay! Staff is amazing, location is top and secured. The restaurant Mezzanine floor is awesome! Really recommend the place and big thanks to Lucko!

A lovely room to sleep. I got the back of the mall so no view. The hotel entrance looks grand from the pictures but it’s small and just for checkin. A small bar/coffee area as you walk in. For the price difference I would stay at the Marriott and have access to the on-site swimming pools. Colosseum does not have an on-site pool or gym. You can make use of the pool & gym at Island club which requires you to walk outside the property. Room is spacious and has microwave which was handy.

You get what you pay for
Room was clean. Very strange layout. Lights are also very harsh (spotlights in living room). Very old equipment (tv, kettle, microwave). Nice to have a bathtub though. Staff were okay - nothing special.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and by now one would think upgrades would include smart TV’s. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite and the tv in the bedroom is a 17” tv you can hardly see. There is no means of even connecting a hard drive to watch a movie or tv. Options are 17 channels which is the lowest DSTV package available. If they had smart TV’s you could at least log into Netflix or other streaming service. Larger TV’s would at least allow you the opportunity to see what is on the TV. For a penthouse suite and price they charge amenities are lacking. The balcony wraps around and has beautiful views but you must go on the balcony in order to appreciate them as the windows were dirty. Staff was exceptional as always and accommodating. Upgrades to rooms especially for Penthouse units is long overdue.

The toilet roll holders were loose and would have obvious to the cleaners. the fire detector was covered with wet toilet paper, which would have visible to the cleaners. i did inform reception. the rooms were neat and clean. the bed and pillows were comfortable.
