Safe, clean modern yet quaintly charming.
Quaint and lovely, highly recommended. Glen is an exceptional host.

A little gem
Although very comfortable and clean, the decor in our room was a little tired...the arm of the chair was ripped, and the garden chairs were fraying, but the personal interest, hospitality and the warm and prompt service of Glen and Melanie were amazing and unbeatable. This is a little hide-away from very busy schedules; we enjoyed our time tremendously. Will be back!

Felt like Family
I really enjoyed my stay, Glen and his wife and their darling baby girl really extended a warm hand of friendship to me when I was new in the area and looking for a rental at a hard time of year for accommodation. I spent over a week at the Helderberg Forest Lodge and couldn't wait to return in the evenings to the sound of birds and the peace and quiet. Amanda was so sweet and kind and so was Mel, always looking out for my needs. They were so flexible with my schedule, letting me extend my room at the last minute, several times. Overall I think it's one of the gems in Somerset West both for the property itself, and for the truly incredible staff. The only improvement I can recommend would be to have my own private room there!

Glen the Owner of the Lodge is amazing, we had such a great welcome and he definitely goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home. Nothing is too much for him... Brilliant stay
