This was the perfect home away from home. Wonderful owners that help you with day to day plans. Lovely living room where you can hang out and meet other travelers. Close walking distance to downtown attractions. Can't say enough good things about our stay.

A business trip during the week, great rooms - awesome breakfast, lovely common areas and special muffins and fruit for all. Wonderful hosts and friendly staff. Brilliant load-shedding support and fast wifi for work.

Lovely accommodation with plenty of character, located in quiet residential street, fairly close to Table Top & Signal Hill and easy drive to City Centre and Camps Bay. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us great tips on where to visit in the City. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.. They let us leave our luggage after check out, as we had a late flight. Breakfast was great and our room was very clean and beautifully decoration. We are happy to recommend and hope to return again some day

A very unique boutique hotel. Situated near restaurants and a 30 minute walk downtown. The owner is always available and on top of everything. Highly recommended and would not stay anywhere else. Great breakfast.

What a wonderful place- an oasis in a really beautiful and pleasant part of the city. Roland is the most fantastic host, he made our stay really special- he has so much local knowledge and amazing recommendations for places that we wouldn’t have found otherwise and was so helpful as we had just arrived in South Africa. The hotel is lovely, a really relaxing and beautiful building. We had great sleeps after our flight in a really comfortable bed with crisp linen. The area is lovely and quiet but near great bars and restaurants and it’s safe to walk around. Breakfast in the terrace n the mornings was delicious and so fresh. We honestly can’t recommend this place enough!

Great stay in Cape Town!
Just concluded a stay with Roland and staff and I can’t say enough positive about it. Roland is a great resource for places to go and eat all over the cape. The rest of the staff were always friendly and caring. We liked the neighborhood and it was easy to walk to some great restaurants.

Wonderful B&B which felt like coming home after touring days in Capetown. Roland & Alex were great hosts with thoughtful suggestions for restaurants as well as other sites. The garden area was beautiful & we enjoyed a delicious breakfast there each morning. Rooms were well equipped with all amenities....quiet and private. Loved our experience at Jardin!

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast at the foot of Table Mountain and in the middle of an eclectic neighborhood where all the good restaurants are. The owners are very gracious and gave us great tips on where to go, what to see in Cape Town and the surrounding area. It was not just a hotel stay but a true experience to be there.

Lovely place to stay! Beautifully decorated, spacious rooms with high ceilings and every “creature comfort”. Attention is paid to every detail. Amazing, delicious breakfasts. Kind and attentive staff. Owners who really care about their guests - giving great information and advice about restaurants and local attractions and even helping to make reservations. It was like having first-class concierge service! Located in a convenient, but quiet and safe neighborhood. Don’t hesitate - stay here and enjoy every minute! Great value for the price. Une experience formidable
Impossible d'être plus enthousiaste à propos de notre expérience au Jardin d'Ébènes. Niché au pied de Table Mountain, l'ambiance est tranquille, et les chambres sont propres, spacieuses et très confortables. Table Mountain, Lion's Head et la jolie Camp's Bay sont à quelques minutes en voiture. Le quartier branché de Kloof Street se trouve à 10 minutes à pied. L'hôtel est également à distance du musée du district 6 et de Green Market Square - deux sites incontournables du Cap. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et comprennent des fruits frais locaux. Le point culminant du séjour, cependant, sont les discussions de « planification » du matin avec Roland (le propriétaire). Il est une fontaine d'informations et fournit de bons conseils pour vous assurer de profiter au maximum de votre séjour. Lui et sa femme sont des hôtes charmants et leur personnel est poli, souriant et serviable.

Great Location, Nice Staff and very good Facilitie
We stayed at Roland's and Alex's Guesthouse for 3 nights. Everything was just perfect. We had the Buffalo-Room and it was spacious, clean and had everything that you need. Roland is German and explained us very well what Restaurants he would recommend, what we should visit etc. The contact to the owners is personal and Roland and Alex are always there, if you need something. The breakfast was excellent. There were different breads, Muffins, cheese, ham, Salami and they would even make you a fresh english breakfast.

Fantastic boutique hotel
Excellent facilities in a charming Dutch farmhouse turned into a boutique hotel, great location in a quiet residential neighborhood close to all main attractions Capetown has to offer and really nice restaurants. Loved everything about our stay, but the owner 's hospitality and attention to detail requires separate acknowledgement. Roland is an amazing host who makes it his mission to ensure that his guests enjoy their stay in the hotel and in Capetown in general. He gave great recommendations, booked day trips and even personally drove to airport to pick my family member arriving on a very late evening flight. The house is very well preserved and appointed. Sound travels rather well in halls and common areas, but this is a very minor inconvenience in comparison to overall satisfaction with our stay in this hotel. Great breakfast too and very helpful and personable staff. Highly recommend!

Excellent guesthouse in great location..
This is a great guesthouse, in an excellent location with great hosts who couldn't do more to help make our stay in Cape Town a memorable one. It is in easy walking distance to a range of bars and restaurants on Kloof Street and a short raxi ride to other sights including the V&A waterfront. I would highly recommend.

Ein schöner Garten inmitten der Großstadt
Das Guesthouse ist wunderschön und perfekt gelegen um Kapstadt und seine Umgebung zu erkunden. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein aber toll gestaltet und sauber. Das Frühstück hat uns besonders gut gefallen, da es verschiedene Brotsorten gab, frisches Obst und Müsli. Das einzige kleine Manko ist die Hellhörigkeit in den Zimmern. Morgens sollte man gegen das Vogelgezwitscher und Schritte im Guesthouse auf dem schönen Holzboden Ohropax bereit halten.

Truly amazing and cozy place. You should stay here
We stayed here for 5 nights during december/january 2015/16 and it was a delight. Pleasant stay with awesome staff and owners who made you feel so at home and welcome.evryone is very attentative, and they are very helpful with ideas of what to do. Rooms are big and kept clean,breakfast is good. Small guesthouse which gives you an intimate feeling, and you easily get to know the other travellers staying at this guesthouse. Will advice people to stay in this place. I know for a fact that we will stay here agin, I will not be looking for another place in CT as this place have everything you want and need.
