We had 4 nights at THE BIG and loved our stay there. It is just 15-20minutes away from Waterfront (by foot) and it is a safe and calm area. The staff is extremely friendly and is giving their best to assist in every moment. Our room (Double) was small but absolutely sufficient and the bed was comfy. They are cleaning the room (and whole accomodation) every day. Breakfast is simple but tasty and it is possible to bring own additions or to cook some eggs in the morning since there is a fully equiped kitchen. Parking lot is secured by an automatic gate. Also very nice people there to connect :) we would definitely recommend this place!

Hotel sympa dans une zone résidentielle agréable. Dispose d'un parking et d'une petite piscine. Nous avions 2 chambres, une très agréable et une autre un peu petite mais confortable. Bon petit déjeuner continental (pain, céréales, fruits) avec la possibilité de se faire des oeufs.

great hostel
Great hostel. Very clean and superb location near supermarket and restaurants. Went on a few tours (expensive) but Worth it. I had a seizure during a tour and they where very helpful and caring all the time of my stay. Thanks you guys.

BIG Backpackers
BIG Backpackers is very homey-it really does feel like a home away from home. The location is really good and the staff are really cool. They have 2 nights where they take groups out on the town. The only downside is the breakfast is really basic.

Maybe the best hostel I been to ?
These people redefine hostel stay. Cannot believe I even made new friends. The place is neat and nice - friendly team and staff. More or less like a family. We even had a dinner together. Tolles Hostel in ruhiger zentraler Lage
Ich war jetzt schon zum 3. Mal dort zu Gast und ich muss sagen es ist irgendwie wie nach Hause kommen. Die gesamte Belegschaft ist Mega freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jeder Tag beginnt mit einem gemeinsamen Frühstück bei dem Aktivitäten für den Tag erarbeitet und geplant werden oder einfach Kontakte zu Mitbewohnern entstehen.

満足です。
スタッフが全員フレンドリー。公共スペースも沢山あるので色々と情報交換できる。宿泊客はヨーロッパからの人が多かったかな？ Wi-Fiは繋がり良好でした。 ウォーターフロントが徒歩20分。バスは活用しにくいので、タクシーのコストがかさみました。また、タクシーはUberのアプリで呼ぶ方が絶対いい。普通のタクシーはぼったくられる事が多い。

Personnel excellent, rapport qualité prix excessif
Nous avons passé notre 1ère nuit en AfS dans ce backpackers dont les prix sont prohibitifs par rapport à ce que nous avons fait par la suite La chambre est correcte et l’endroit est sympa et assez bien placé mais ne justifie par un tel prix Le personnel est très très agréable et compétent notamment le veilleur de nuit qui est d’une gentillesse extrême!!! Par contre ne changez pas l’argent là bas !!!! Là aussi ils exagèrent et pratiquent un taux horriblement cher. Le petit déjeuner est assez correct mais j’ai été malade à cause leur yaourt qui a un peu trop végété à la chaleur....

Thank you for your response. Our staff love their jobs and that certainly reflects in their work. Our prices are competitive with other upmarket backpackers in Cape Town and there are no hidden costs whatsoever. Perhaps you ate something else that upset your stomach- our yogurt (and all our breakfast food) is ordered fresh and stored in the refrigerator.

Super Zwischenstopp für Kapstadt
Wir waren drei Nächte in dem Hostel. Unser Zimmer war sauber, gut ausgestattet mit eigenem Balkon und bequemen Bett. Also wir waren damit vollkommen zufrieden. Die Unterkunft bietet einen Pool (Wasserknappheit in Kapstadt muss natürlich berücksichtigt werden) zwei Gemeinschaftsküchen und einen großen Grill. Die Gegend empfand ich als sicher, man kann vom Hostel aus direkt zur waterfront laufen. Von dort startet auch die hop on hop off Tour durch Kapstadt. Restaurants sind direkt in der Nähe oder zahlreich an der waterfront vertreten. Frühstück ist einfach aber ausreichend. Parken kann man vor dem Hotel.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT STAFF, EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.
I haven't like party hostel and too much kind staff. Because, I was too shy to hang out with other guests or staffs and many party hostel have only good people, but lack of clean or comfort. but here is different. everything was clean and comfy, staff was really helpful. they don't mind my english skill. even i don't have any plan, they help me to set up my schedule and reservation for several tour agency. the staff were real specialist so super-super helpful and they loved it. unforgettable experience. Milou, Ivor, and so on... miss you. just go there!

Super Friendly, Clean Hostel in quiet Area.
Had a magical time at this hotel. The friendliness of the staff, close to everything, they book tours for you, made dinner for us on a night of the week. Did not want to leave after my stay :-)

Nice and modern hostel :)
We had a great stay at B.I.G. ! Our double room was more a hotel than a hostel room and the furniture was modern and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and we had our own balkony. The stuff was very nice and always came by to ask about the daily plans and gave awesome recommendations. There were many activites planed for the day/evening but we didnt attend because we wha a strict timetable ;) but they all sounded very good! It was a bit noisy due to our neighbors but didnt disturb our sleep so all was good! Thanks for letting us stay with you :)

Best hostel ever
This was the best hostel I've stayed! The staff is awesome they are always there for you and help you to organise tours or give suggestions what you can do if you don't have a plan for the day. They also do stuff like dinners, hikes, little walking tours with all the guests who want to join. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the brekky was great in the morning with fresh fruits, musli,bread,eggs any style etc. Everything was really good and when i go back to Cape Town I'll definitely stay there again!

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Das Zimmer und die gesamten Räumlichkeiten sind sehr gemütlich, die Lage ist super und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Viele Unternehmungen können direkt vor Ort gebucht werden. Ebenso werden regelmäßig Tipps gegeben.

Great location. Safe and secure.
The B.I.G Backpackers, located in the Green Point area of Cape Town is a fantastic facility. The rooms are very comfortable and are thoroughly cleaned every day. Surprisingly, for a hostel, the staff even makes up the beds each day! There is ample parking available with a secured, fenced lot and overflow on the street. The neighbourhood felt very safe and secure so street parking was fine. The house itself is also secure and there is always someone at the front desk monitoring the property. Every morning, a selection of fruits and cereals was made available, along with tea and coffee. Eggs were also provided for traveller who wanted to cook up their own breakfasts. A large common table was great for travellers to meet and mingle. Staff were always on hand to make sure everyone had some sort of plan for exploring Cape Town every day. For people who were undecided, the staff would make suggestions based on the interests of each person. In all, we stayed at The B.I.G Backpackers for 6 days and were sad to leave it.
