Very confusing to find where to park and where reception was. When I was finally let in to the reception area, it was as if I was an inconvenience. The woman gave me the key, walked me across to the front door of the building, and said the room was at the top of the steps. I was provided minimal information and felt quite isolated.
The gates lock so if you want to get to your car at night, you have to walk around the walls and walk into the car park gate; I was very glad I didn't have to do so.
I thought it would be fun to stay in a castle, but the charm was minimal and wound up rather inconvenient.
