Maybe this property better fits younger people. We are in our late 60's and 70's and we need more space and better accomadations. And it was too far from the ocean.

Excelente limpieza en general. Solo el jabón de lavar platos y la esponjilla estaban muy sucios y en malas condiciones.

Muchas gracias Noemy, un placer recibirle. Lamentamos que tuviera problemas con el agua. Durante su estadía estuvimos trabajando solo con un poso por estar reparando la bomba del poso principal. Le agradeceria mas detalles de las dificultades que experimento para poder buscar soluciones, baja presion? malos olores? cortos en el abastecimiento? Realmente le prometemos trabajar por mejorar los inconvenientes. Cordialmente Jose Pablo

Acogedoras casitas cercanas a la playa
En Mar y Luz la atención es inmejorable. Las casitas cuentan con todos los servicios necesarios para pasar una estancia cómoda. Son divinas y muy acogedoras. Cercanas a bares, restaurantes, súper mercados y playas.

Petits bungalows dans un jardin, si vous souhaitez vous doucher c'est très difficile car la pomme de douche est HS (complètement bouchée par le calcaire) 8/9 trous seulement, à la place du lavabo vous avez un lave-main avec un robinet qui n'est pas fixé. Donc, vous allez à la kitchenette et là le robinet également n'est pas fixé, mais en plus l'écoulement n'est pas fonctionnel et l'eau se répand sur le sol du bungalow ! Les bungalows ont besoins de gros travaux pour être proposés à la location : à fuir !

Just OK lodging
Overall mediocre.. mostly due to rude neighbors and lots of dogs barking. I realize staff can't really do anything about neighborhood dogs but from all the reviews I read I was expecting to be woke up by howler monkeys... The rooms are about 2 meters apart and have only screens for windows (which I didn't read about anywhere in the description) so if you have neighboring guests who are the least bit loud during the "horizonal hokey pokey" ( haha the "s" word is apparently inappropriate language) you're going to hear it.. every bit of it. Bring ear plugs. Other than that, it served it's purpose but nothing special.

Lovely but rustic. If you want a quiet, secluded experience then this is your place. It's like camping but with solid walls and running water. Very relaxing and don't worry about no air con, the fans in the room cool it nicely at night.

Très bien
Très jolies petites cabanes colorées avec terrasses. Bon mélange entre confort et nature. L'intérieur est ouvert avec des moustiquaires. Coin très tranquille et agréable. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Think camping in a cabin with beds
The cabin was very clean, no bugs or mosquitos (glad, because there were holes in our mosquito netting). Bed comfortable, but if you need quiet or complete darkness to sleep, you won't sleep well - tropical insects are LOUD at night and curtains didn't completely cover windows so light comes in. No free water bottles as advertised. Reception was closed at 8 am. . .

Cabin in paradise
I spent 9 nights at that wonderful place! The room was very clean, with everything you need. Fridge, shower, pan, coffee maker, plates etc. the bed was very comfortable. Hot water. Location is great, close to super market( less than 10 mins walk), close to some restaurants, short walk to the beach( like 10 mins through the forest ) :)))) If you are looking for a nice quite vacation that's the right place to stay! If you need more action you can take a bus which is minutes away from the place and runs every 2 hours and it will bring you to the heart of Puerto Viejo within 15 mins. Manager and owners are wonderful! Very helpful and what is more important- inspiring!:))))) The garden on the territory is amazingly beautiful, tons of green plants and flowers! I honestly felt like I was in paradise! Absolutely in love and already miss my vacation! Highly recommending that place!

Perfect place for a family with two small children. Close to a child friendly beach and in the middle of the jungle. Lots of animals in the area. We saw monkeys, sloths, hummingbird, toucans etc. The cabin has a small kitchenette, a terrace, one smaller double bed and one single bed. It's an open cabin so you hear the animals at night which we really liked. But some mosquitos found their way in. The mosquito nets provided were broken and did not cover the whole bed. No ac, but that was ok anyway due to fans. We didn't suffer from the heat even though we were there during a very warm an moist period. We loved the little terrace, the calm area and the closeness to the beach.

Extremely friendly, nice and service minded staff. A short (<5 min.) walk to very nice Playa Chiquita, from were you can walk onwards to Playa Punta Uva. Charming Puerto Viejo can be reached in 10 minutes in car/taxi or rented bikes (at Casitas Mar Y Luz). Cabins are basic, but clean and with mosquito nets.

Der Begriff Shuttleservice in die Umgebung ist etwas übertrieben, da lediglich die Möglichkeit besteht mit den Angestellten bei ihren Wegen mit in die Stadt zu fahren. Für eine kürzere Zeitspanne ist es möglich sich kostenlos Räder auszuborgen. Negativ ist der geringe Abstand und die daraus resultierende Hellhörigkeit zwischen den Bungalows

Cute and clean. Very Caribbean.
Nice little hotel. With individual small houses and all very clean. Nice beaches near by and Puerto Viejo just about 10 minutes drive. Very friendly staff.

Excelente Bungalow en el Caribe.
Al llegar a Puerto Viejo el dueño nos recogió en el centro y nos llevó al Hotel y nos mostró el bungalow que estaba impecable y lindo. Al llegar regalan 1 bbotella de agua ya que solo tienen agua de Pozo. Fueron 2 noches lindas donde se escuchaban la fauna del lugar. Henri el dueño nos trato muy cómodamente y nos ofreció Bikes gratis para transportarnos . A unos metros del hotel hay lugares para comer y un supermercado pequeño gourmet. La playa a 5 minutos caminando del hotel. De verdad que se los recomiendo para una escapada con pareja o familia.

the owners and staff are really nice and gave a really good service, the bungalow is nice too, the only thing is that the kitchen is really small and could have a little more things to cook with... but the rest was really good, and good location

I loved this place, and if I ever make it back to Costa Rica, I'll be staying there again. The owners and staff truly care about your happiness and comfort, as well as the environment. This place is amazing!!
