Hi Trudy-Thanks for your note. We have wine glasses in the Monkey Bar, but regular hard cups and glasses (for coffee, for instance) are too many chip-able items for us to control! --And our insulated cups are pretty well liked by everybody.

We have a major remodel in the works, and hope that you will come by again once that's done. Besides the Florida challenge of a new climate every few days, we have had guests change thermostat settings for a whole floor. We hope that the open windows made sleeping better.

Dear Anonymous Guest-- We would have used Anonymous also! Our confirmation details the Self Check-In instructions, and most people get the picture that we don't staff a desk. And you didn't have to pay for those employees, or the elevator. Isn't that good?

Hi Ray, From the start of this business, we have attempted to avoid interfering with our guests' visits. Most are here to take advantage of the sparsely populated, natural coast we enjoy (especially this year!). We can suggest some more populated places if you like; just ask.

Maybe now that you've broken it in, it'll relax a bit? It has some springs, but so wrapped in layers of foam that you can't feel them. Come back soon!

You are the first mention of this, but we will immediately replace these items if they need to be replaced! It sounds as though you had a good stay except for the bed items--we hope so. Hi Renee-- We're not sure whether you mean that we are out in the boonies (certainly not the case) or that there is nothing to walk to (matter of opinion).We came to Carrabelle for the small-town atmosphere, with a gorgeous harbor and a state and national forest on our outskirts. The harbor is a block and a half, and forest and Gulf waters are everywhere you look. The Hotel is full of reference material for locating museums, lighthouses, nature exhibit locations, etc. Hopefully you found something to do before you left. Skip and Kathy

Thanks so much for your input. We have had very strange weather for our area the past few weeks with sometimes heat and air being needed on the same day! We do plan in the future to address this with newer technology as our guest's comfort is very important to us!!
