Our stay with Atlantic Lux was a great disappointment. We would not recommend this hotel given the much better comparable hotels in Cartagena we subsequently stayed in.
The rooms are old and bathrooms aren't clean. The 1 working elevator is extremely slow, so be prepared to wait a good 15 minutes every time you want to go up or down with suitcases.
The staff takes several days to respond to any communication over Expedia. They responded to our request for a crib 3 days after we had checked-out (request sent weeks in advance). We had to laugh.
Lastly, we paid for a suite with a closed bedroom as we were traveling with a baby. The hotel made a mistake with the reservation and put us in a standard room. As opposed to simply crediting the difference in price, it took us contesting the charge on our credit card. After several weeks of dealing with them, our credit card immediately agreed with the dispute and forced them to reimburse us the difference.
Overall, we recommend avoiding this hotel. We stayed in 2 other hotels in this area and each was a vast improvement over Atlantic Lux.
