Very nice location and helpful staff. The suite was very spacious and had a beautiful view. Buffet breakfasts were very good. Comfortable beds and pillows. Some of furniture needs maintenance and the construction in front of the hotel is very noisy and they start working very early, before 7am.

Everything was great honestly. I don't think I was ever not greatest with a smile and as an English speaking guest sometimes it was hard to communicate but we both tried our best and took care of whatever was needed. Really more than 5 stars should be awarded. I've never felt more welcomed in a hotel honestly and I travel ALOT. Thank you Capilla!

My girlfriend and I stood at this hotel from 3/9-3/12. We really enjoyed the stay! We got the suite with the ocean view, and it was spacious and clean. Staff was quick to help, and the free breakfast was pretty good. There is a lot of construction from Calle 9-13, and this hotel is on Calle 8. Just a heads up, there are a lot vendors/solicitors on the street and beach area. Definitely recommend taking a trip to Baru island, the water is much nicer and clear.

I really liked the layout of our room. There were 2 bathrooms and no water problems. Really nice viewing the TV did not work though and the internet is not reliable average hotel (this review is from a 9-year old)

Good but very noisy location. Building is not new abut in ok shape . Very few people speak English. Breakfast is below average ( didn’t even have breakfast tea ) Rooms are spacious.

The hotel had construction across the street which it was not mentioned at the time of booking. The construction started early. Windows were not noise proof. Traffic noises constantly.

The Hotel made arrangements from the airport. The concierge Jafeer was amazing. My suite was nice and had 2 bathrooms! The view was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable. Only bad thing is there’s an abandoned unfinished hotel next door. Not so nice to see when you come out of the property.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Capilla del Mar. Upon arrival, they allowed us to do an early check-in, which we greatly appreciated. We had requested a crib for our baby and it was there, as promised. The room was large, the beds were comfortable. The staff is very nice and always happy to help. Lastly, the food at the restaurant is delicious!

I really liked this hotel. The breakfast was decent. They were attentive to any concerns i had. The room I was in had an issue with the sink & the shower head leaking after use. Once they couldn't resolve the issue they changed me to another room, which was much better, with no issues. I was very satisfied. The staff was friendly, helpful and spoke some English. It really helped that it was a convenient place to walk to the shops, free beaches, eateries and western union down the street. I'll definitely be returning here when I come back.

Property was conveniently located near the beach and able to taxi to el centro for 15,000 pesos ($4). The restaurant offers tasty food for affordable cost. The breakfast was between 6-10am so had lots of time to eat. The pool area was small but not crowded. Great view from the balcony.

Este hotel es increíble. Todos fueron muy amables y generosos. Tenían una gran seguridad fuera del hotel que lo ayudará en un taxi y lo ayudará a salir del taxi. La zona en sí es muy segura. Mi habitación era muy espaciosa y hermosa. Definitivamente regresaré a este hotel.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were helpful, kind, and willing to go above and beyond. The beds were comfy and cleaning crew did a great job keeping our room tidy. If this is your first time traveling to Cartagena please beware that there are vendors waiting outside to sell you things or taxi drivers ready to bounce, but you’ll find this all through the city. Overall we will book this hotel again

Great location. The breakfast was extremely good. But know when it rains the street is flooded and may affect the hotel’s water. The hot water went out while I was there. By the evening it was restored. It has adjoining rooms that are separated by a door. You can hear people next door. When I checked out the staffed claimed I got room service from the restaurant next door. After they verified it wasn’t me and that their own staff made a mistake all I was given was piece of paper stating I could leave. I had to ask for a receipt to make sure I wasn’t charged for anything after I left. The experience left a very nasty taste in my mouth. I would suggest you eat/drink off the hotel premises to avoid getting falsely chared for anything.

A nice option for Bocagrande
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is super convenient for the beach, restaurants and general life in the area. The suite was very spacious and well-appointed. The flooding in front of the entrance and wifi that cuts off every time I went in and out of the elevator were the biggest points for improvement. Breakfast could use some expansion as well but is serviceable. The suite's balcony is large and got direct sun for a decent amount of time. I felt safe staying here as a single woman.
