Well located.. No hot water and lack of storage. Lady at reception demanded 20,000 COP for a broken cup. The taxi from the airport costs 15,000 COP. Given the lack of integrity of staff, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Central Historic Cartagena
Overall this colonial in the centre of historic Cartagena does the job. The breakfast is great and there is 24hr reception. The hotel could do with a deep clean and better lighting in the rooms. Room size was typical for hotels from this era. For the price in the center it is a solid option.

Wir hatten für zwei Personen ein 27 m² großes Dreibettzimmer (1 Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten) gebucht, bekamen aber nur ein Doppelzimmer (2 Einzelbetten, 20 m²), was preislich unter dem von uns gebuchten und im voraus bezahlten Zimmer lag. Die Betten waren bequem. Das Bad war sehr eng, das warme Wasser plätscherte manchmal nur. Aircondition gut. Das Frühstücksbüffet war okay, wenn man keine großen Ansprüche stellt.

Me gustó mucho el hotel, es pequeño pero muy cómodo. Las instalaciones están en buenas condiciones, pero en el baño había un problema con el drenaje, a pesar de que se estaba remodelado.

Loved our stay here. We were moved to their second location but it worked out fine. The breakfast was delicious and everyone was accommodating and helpful.

This property has a good location in the walled city, though the property itself is a bit disappointing. The rooms are really small and difficult to navigate the room if more than a couple of days. I traveled as a Solo and found difficult time with room, and can imagine two persons would be a relationship test. Staff are very nice and cleanliness is OK

Great location inside the old city in a historic building. Very good breakfast. The desk staff always seemed to be in a bad mood and bothered by any inquiry. that was the only shortfall of an otherwise nice place to stay.

Convenient location a plus but more minuses
This very old structure converted to a hotel is located walking distance to many old city attractions. We had to pay for our entire stay before given our room so I guess the day lady at the desk didn't feel the need to be friendly after that (not even a goodbye when we left). Our small groundfloor room had a huge window (some may think as a plus but we kept curtain closed 24hr) overlooking the patio area where free breakfast is served. Breakfast choices are minimal but we enjoyed the daily fresh fruit & banana? bread. One night there was a long heavy downpour and raindrops came falling onto our pillows - we thought it was funny but some may not. We've stayed at the Ritz & other top brand hotels but we're also tent campers. If you're a camper you'll do fine if you're a Ritz kind of person stay away.

Para quem busca uma boa localização
Fiquei hospedada com minha família (2 adultos e 2 crianças) no período de 31 de maio a 02 de junho de 2018. O hotel é razoável. Tivemos alguns problemas como o cheiro de mofo no quarto (só com muito antialérgico), água do chuveiro fria e escassa (banho horrível0. O café da manhã é bem pobre, suco artificial e tudo muito contado. A equipe é bem simpática e agradável e a localização do hotel é muito boa, dá para passear bastante a pé.

Great Location to Walk the Old City
My wife and I had a great experience. The hotel offers a great breakfast with fresh cut fruit, traditional home-made arepas and delicious Colombian coffee. The hotel is located half a block from a supermarket if you want to keep get some quick snack or even for a cheap dinner, it is very convenient. Also, it is located walking distance from many historic places such as churches. museums, nice restaurants, plazas, pubs, etc. Everything of the old city is walking distance. The bed is very comfortable and the hotel is also very quiet so you can rest well.

hotel muito bem localizado, no entanto pelo clima da cidade tem cheiro de mofo no quarto ( algo que pode ser melhorado). Precisam tambem ter cuidado com o aparecimento de baratas nos quartos, o que torna desagradavel a estada - no caso da barata, foi encontrada duas vezes dentro do quarto, como isso aconteceu na madrugada, o funcionario noturno ( nao sei o nome) nao nos ajudou , o que foi desagradavel, pq tivemos que deixar a lixeira do banheiro fora do quarto ( a barata estava la) - o funcionario nao foi pro ativo em troca-la. Do mesmo modo quando algum imprevisto acontece no hotel que afetem aos hospedes, os hospedes devem ser avisados - houve falta de agua em um dos dias e o funcionario jorge prontamente resolveu o problema. MERECE DESTAQUE o funcionario Jorge , um amor de pessoa , sempre atencioso e prestativo, funcionario impar. .

Great location, basic clean rooms,
Simple, basic guesthouse in a great location in the walled city. Friendly staff speaks no English. Room was clean but uncomfortable. WiFi worked great. Shower not so good. Room very small - not even a chair to sit in. Staff was very helpful when I lost key to the safe. Hotel is OK for the price.

Character hotel in old Cartagena
We had 4 days here and really enjoyed it. The only difficulty was the lack of English but, after all, this is a Spanish-speaking country. Sign language and Google go a long way!

Voltaria a me hospedar lá.
Hotel razoavelmente confortável localizado no centro histórico da cidade. Possui café da manhã bom porém não é buffet. O quarto é confortável mas o banheiro apresentava alguns problemas: o chuveiro demorava muito tempo para sair água quente e o vaso sanitário esteve entupido durante todos os dias da estadia.

Adorei minha estadia no hotel Puertas de Cartagena. O atendimento da equipe do hotel foi excelente, principalmente do rapaz que nos recebeu no check in e que nos servia o café da manhã todos os dias. O café da manhã com frutas, suco natural e várias opções de ovos e pães estava sempre delicioso e o ar condicionado do quarto excelente depois do calor que passávamos andando pelas ruas de Cartagena.

Messed up the reservation
We were supposed to stay at this hotel in Centro. However they messed up the reservation and did not have our 2 rooms available. So they pawned us off to a sister hotel. A sister hotel on the outskrits of Getsamani. A sister hotel with a room right on the street. A sister hotel with a 24 hour marching band. I felt like I was a character in the movie Hostel. We also lost 2 hours of our final day in CTG due to the fiasco.

Gostei muita da minha estadia no hotel Puertas de Cartagena, porém o hotel precisa passar por uma reforma. Meu quarto tinha mofo na parede de frente para cama, isso deixava o quarto com cheiro forte para alérgicos um grande problema. E o café da manhã é muito tarde, as 07.00, porque pra uma cidade q precisa acordar cedo pra curtir o sol fica tarde demais.

Nice Hotel in colonial Cartagena
The hotel itself was beautiful,I really got the old Cartagena feel.The food was delicious.The only thing I would complain about is that some of the staff was a bit rude except the boy who took our bags to our rooms he was excellent.

Das Hotel macht auf den ersten Blick einen netten Eindruck. Das Gebäude wurde im Kolonialstil erbaut. Doch die fensterlosen Zimmer sind eine Katastrophe. Es stinkt und das komplette Bad war verschimmelt. Lage des Hotels ist super.
