The property was selected because of "close proximity" to BCN. It was a 30 euro taxi ride unless you want to take a couple of buses that took about an hour to get there. The check in process was a long wait - over half hour in line. The hotel did not have our booking and I had to get the Expedia ref # and the clerk called to see if we had a reservation. This was upsetting because the hotel was fully booked. The hotel said that Expedia was not forwarding the reservations. I didn't receive a follow up from Expedia about the reservation, which makes me nervous to use Expedia. When we finally got to the room, the AC/heat wasn't working and finally it was fixed. The hotel advertises free wifi throughout the hotel but we were unable to get a strong signal. My partner checked and it was 3 mb, which is pathetic. There was one clerk who was helpful. The others were not. When we had trouble with the heating, the female at reception asked "What is heating?" Really???
Food in the hotel was good and the bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom were spacious. Cleaning was done. Steam room and sauna were okay. The steam room felt dirty. Sauna was good but either were very hot. Didn't use the pool - unheated outdoor. I'll go to back to Sitges next time. It's easier and a prettier area.
