The place is well maintain .its clean from my room to the lobby and to the restaurant everything is excellent for me the stuff are very helpful .see you next time Golden Valley Inn

Old hotel in old part of city.
This hotel is old. Rooms are old. Many things need to be fixed. A little difficult to find. Located in old part of cebu city. Difficult to go out and travel outside of hotel. Lots of traffic. Can be a headache! However, area around hotel is safe.

Old hotel in old part of cebu city.
This hotel is a little difficult to find. On a side street. Safe, but, not too accessible by car. Old hotel with restaurant. Not many dishes to choose from. Walking distance to malls and street vendors. However, area not clean, lots of traffic and people. Roads are bad with no sidewalks to use. Going out can be a hassle and annoying. 7-11 right next to hotel, for me, was the best thing about this hotel. Will never stay here again. Too much trouble.

Listing say complimentary breakfast, but there was no breakfast included. WIFI was non existent, and the TV had no connection or channels available.

-The card to open the door does not working so we have to wait in front of the door for someone to fix it; - room was smelly; - Towels have a strong smell of clorine; - During the check-in they told us that we have to pay for the breakfast and after they saw my booking mail with Expedia they said that actually the breakfast is free. And like it was not enough, in the morning I've foud out that they have only philippino breakfast for free. If you want american breakfast, they have, but you have to pay. I think that Expedia should provide all this information at the moment of booking. Instead sayning " free breakfast included" , they ahould say " philippino breakfast for free ; american breakfast available surcharge)" .

Business trip in Cebu
First time stay in Golden Valley & service was quite good. Room was clean & comfortable but bed may need to be replaced soon. Restaurant offered several food choices. Good for business travellers as area is centrally located.

Horrible experience! Very bad customer service!!!
The check in time is 2:00 PM but we waited almost 2 hours because the hotel staff said, "the room is not ready" & their reason is they are busy! :( We booked the hotel 1 week ahead of time & it was fully paid yet the room is not ready. We booked a family room with 3 single beds but they put us on a studio type with only 1 bed. We requested another bed but they charged us per night for that request. The hotel staff promised us to be transferred to a family room on the second day as what we booked but it did not happen until we check out. We check out & we transferred to another big hotel. Upon check out, they let us pay for second bed plus the buffet breakfast in which we booked a family room with breakfast included already. Horrible!!! Plus they let us pay the little leftover foods we bring in the hotel from outside, really??? This is horrible!!! We called many, many times, long distance call & the hotel staff hang us up for a long time, passing the call from person to person. When we call for just asking a simple question, you will talk to 3-4 different people until your question be answered. When we call the reservation, they confirmed its ok, everything will be fine, we don't need to pay additional for the second bed, we don't need to pay for the buffet breakfast because its already included in the amount we fully paid online when we book the family room.

Great customer service, old run down hotel in ghetto neighborhood with bad food in cafe. Convenient though for us traveling through and staff was so nice!

Centre of the city.
The hotel is 45min from Lapu-Lapu Mactan International Airport. It's very near to almost everywhere. All the tourist spot in Cebu, even the newest SM Seaside, Cebu South Bus terminal, Larsian, Crown Ragency Hote (Where you can do Sky Walking) and the likes! :) almost most of the spots is near the hotel,very accessible! :) They also serve free breakfast too! If you are just looking for a budget hotel, this is for you! Across the street there is Jolibee and all the means of transportation is at the end of the street. The staff is also approachable and hospitable. It's like you're second home in Cebu.

バスターミナルに近い中間地点としてなら
バスターミナルに近くて格安なところということでこのホテルに宿泊しました。 価格通りだと思います。部屋は清潔ですが、建物が古いのでとくに評価がプラスになるようなことはありませんでした。

THE WORST
Worst hotel i've ever stayed in. Bed bugs were in my bed, i had to transfer to another hotel even if I already booked here in advance. I saw a bug in my bed and discovered to more bugs clinging at my back while I showered. I deserve a refund for this.

セブ島の南部へ行く人向け
そこそこ古いので施設的にはバツですが、上手くプロモに乗って安く泊まれれば良しというホテルだと思います。 部屋の設備のすべては古く一昔前の趣で、タオルやシーツも使い込んだ雰囲気です。 価格との相対的な比較では敢えて此所を選ぶ必要は無いかもしれません。 場所的にはセブ島の南へ行くサウスターミナルにに近いのでその必要が有る人にはメリットが有ります。 コンビニは徒歩3分で、BBQレストラン徒歩2分、ゴーゴーバー徒歩4分。

Good for Sinulog, otherwise, not recommended
Good location for Sinulog, otherwise, would not recommend to any of my friends. Beds very uncomfortable, air conditioner very poor, limited internet for multiple day stay, sub par for a 3 star hotel, more of a low end 2 star hotel. Also very bad value for the money. This may have been due to Sinulog festival, but not worth $90 a night, more like $30 a night.

great location for sites. All walking distance
I had a room with cockroaches and ants and no phone signal or wifi. Totally messed up on my first night even though I booked a long times ago. One staff member was not bothered but lucky another go me change of room the next day. What I want happy about is even though they agree to these problems they were not willing to let me have a refund on the pre payment. I got the 3 rd floor after the first night. Signal and wifi is still bad and drops out. They don't even have a safe in this place. I repeat there is no safe in this place. The hotel is down a short alley way which is on a busy dark road the best thing is the place is opposite jolibee up the hill. Mc Donalds and kfc down hill with 7/11 It is dark but I found it Ok to walk down at night. All the sites are in teach by foot breakfast is boiled rice or fried rice and fried egg or scrambled egg. Buffet. How much of this can you eat I don't know. I have it once. The restaurant itself was always closed for me so best to get take away. Air con faces the bed so it will be very cold with it on and hot when it is off

great location but expect problems
Well I booked this room with double and a single for myself. I arrived at 10pm so all the rooms would have been allocated. Considering I booked these few weeks ago they still have me a really poor room. First floor with no wifi or even mobile phone signal and then there were ants and roaches. I want happy at all. I suffered it for the night with a noisy air condition unit and the next day went to tell reception. One very nice woman said go eat your breakfast and I'll take a look. This woman got me a room on the 3rd floor but I didn't know this yet. Well the food was Buffet. What I mean is you have a choice of a meat and that is it. Then the buffet part is a choice of fried rice or boiled rice. Fried egg or scrambled egg. That is it. I only had this once. After breakfast I went over to reception and another lady was there. I ask what the situation was and she wanted to downgrade me to a box room. I was not happy mainly as my phone still had no signal. After a long time messing about and telling me she can't do anything else I decided this is spilling my holiday and asked for a refund. She said she won't give me one. Then somehow she said the first woman found the one on 3rd floor with Window but can't do anything till mid day and wanted me to wait till 12pm to move my things to the new room. Well my thought is why a I going through this stress for a bad room and service. She then said they can move it for me but need to fill in a form to authorize this move. I wrote down that they should not leave anything behind in the move then she told me to go up and packed everything myself and have it ready for the move. This woman obviously doesn't know procedures. I did the packing and left it as it was ready to move. I Went down stairs and said I need the Internet and she said I need to pay for it. I went out and on return they have me the same room standard on a higher floor and this time I had both signal and wifi. reason why I stayed was location was walking distance to all the local sites there. Literally walking distance. The road is dirty and dark at night but being a male it was Ok. Jollibee Was out to the right and at the end of the block. 5 mins walk. On the map it looks far but was actual a pleasant 5mins. This is a very busy road so watch out.

Stayed there one night. Room was basic, but clean and offered a nice view to the sea. Quiet location. Good value for money. Would book it again.
