The definition of Cretan hospitality
From the first day to the last Mr Giwrgos and the manager were friendly, helpful and the ultimate hosts. Super clean rooms, fully resourced and comfortable with private balcony and a beautiful communal roof garden. Complimentary fresh fruits served daily. Plenty of assistance provided with arranging tours and getting around. Great location, a very short walk to several beautiful beaches and a scenic beach stroll to Nea Chora and Chania town centre. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back to stay at Ilona again. Jo & Mike

The room was nice and clean with air conditioning, little kitchen corner and a big balcony. Very short walk to the beach. To the city center a bit more effort (~30min walk), but the view is pretty along the coastline. Check in time was supposed to start at 14, but the room wasn't ready at that time. We left luggage to the reception and the lady sent us to walk to the beach and cafe and come back in 1-2 hours. It was a little bit disappointing but ok, because the cafe in the beach is nice and the room was at least well cleaned. Day before we left, we ask the reception lady if they can book us a taxi for the next morning, to go to the airport. She said yes and said it will come at the time we agreed. Well, for some reason unknown, there was no taxi nowhere outside! Also there was nobody in the reception even though it was supposed to be open. We had to walk to the next bigger street to catch a taxi randomly by luck.

Stay in Chania
Our stay was excellent. Property is clean, towels and linen regularly changed. The staff is friendly. The management leaves fresh fruit for grab every day. The location is excellent both for visiting the island and for lazy days by the nearby beach. The kitchenette is equipped with basic facilities. A microwave would definitely be welcome. Overall highly recommended

The property is in a great location: walking distance to the beach, a supermarket on the corner, and a convenient bus stop. The property itself is unique because there is a lovely roof top garden area for sunning and enjoying the view. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel at home. During this recent visit we feasted on tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, oranges, and fresh figs that the owner gave out free to guests. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily with reliable internet connection.

EXCELLENT THREE NIGHT STAY
Excellent. Spotlessly clean, quiet, very welcoming, easy parking and though the car was needed to get to the centre, that was OK. Good signage from main road but beware the Google Maps because it does not show roads clearly. Cannot recommend highly enough for the price. Old fashioned but everything worked well.

The apartment was very nice and the service excellent. It was cleaned every day. Vegetables and fruit were offered (free) to all customers and they were at our disposal at any time. The area is quiet and close to whatever one might want to do. I would recommend it as an excellent choice.

Very nice place to stay for holiday! My family and me went 3 weeks in this apartments and we were very happy with everything! The place is near chania old town and city center, near a lot of lovely beaches and the owner provided every day with fresh fruit and vedgetables! The room were cleaned every day and we could also wash our clothes in the laundry of the apartments! Perfect place to stay for a lovely holiday in Chania!

Super Service: Wir kamen erst gegen Mitternacht an und der Pensionsinhaber hatte für uns noch ein warmes Essen inklusive ein Glas Wein bereitgestellt. Als wir die Pension verließen, erhielten wir ein Flasche Wein und ein Fläschchen Raki als Abschiedsgeschenk. Danke Mr. George! Sowohl Shampoo und Seife wurden als lokale Bioprodukte bereitgestellt. Ebenso wurde jeden Tag kostenfrei Obst und Gemüse aus eigenem Anbau im Empfangsbereich angeboten. Die Extras waren insgesamt angesichts des von uns gezahlten Preises beschämend!

Cosy apartmens 5 min walk to the beach
We had a lovely stay at Ilona apartments. The place was in a quiet neighbourhood (just 5 mins walk to the beach), it was very clean and cosy. Price was really good.

Very welcoming
The owner and the girls working there were amazing. We arrived late in the night and they left an evening snack and water in our room which was greatly appreciated because nothing was opened at that hour. Every day he brought fresh tomatoes, fruits, even eggs which he was leaving for the guests in the lobby to take whenever we wanted for free. The rooms get tidied up every day and every three days the sheets and towels get changed. The girls who work there are always smiling and ready to answer any questions. The studio had everything it nedeed, but the appliances are a bit tired and in need of refreshing. The beach is 3 minutes walk, which is great and Chania Harbour is 30 min walk. I'm sure a bus can be taken to Chania as we saw a station very close to the hotel, but we chose to walk. The only downside of the place is that on the left and right side of it, very close, are two unfinished buildings which don't look so good, but if you don't intend to spend your holiday in the room, it shouldn't bother you that much. It is a good base to explore the West side of the island from and the hospitality shown by the people there is amazing.

Lovely apartment 4 or 5 mins from a quiet gorgeou
My daughter and I spent a week at Ilona, enjoying the beach mostly then taking an extremely beautiful walk via the seaside into the old harbour where there are many restaurants overlooking the harbour. Paradise!

Nice stay in Crete at Ilona Apartments
We arrived at the hotel ( very well-marked from the main road) late in the evening and we had a fast check-in and a great welcoming. After having taken our passport, Mr. George, the owner, took us some delicious tomatoes, cheese and bread for dinner! Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Comfortable and with everything you need. Services offered by the hotel are great: you can borrow beach umbrellas, mats, and the staff is very willing to provide you with suggestions and any information you'd need. Every day fresh fruits is made available for anyone that would love having a nice start of the day or a snack for the morning!

Bel soggiorno.
Posizione ideale per muoversi nella parte ovest di Creta, buona la pulizia degli appartamenti, piccolo e da rivedere il bagno. Avevamo richiesto una tripla ma il terzo letto era un divano adibito a letto quindi molto scomodo. Per il resto niente na recriminare.
