My partner and I stayed at the Renieris Hotel in 2014 and we loved it here so much that we returned again in 2018. The hotel has been renovated since we last came , and this time, our room was definitely more modern. The room was light, airy and clean and we also had a balcony which looked out towards both land and ocean. The staff are really friendly and the owner was so welcoming! The breakfast is amazing and we really felt at home here! The location is great - only a short 10 minute walk into Kato Stalos for a wide choice of restaurants and bars (that said we stayed in a few times for dinner at the hotel as the food is really good value for money, and also slightly cheaper than the restaurants). Also, the hotel is only a 12 minute public bus ride away from Chania (it was around 3 euros for an adult single). There are quite a few steps from the main road to the hotel so generally, you'd have to be fairly fit to walk up and down the stairs everyday so if mobility is an issue and you don't have a car to drive, then you may find it hard to access this hotel. That said, the hotel manager is happy to pick up / take your luggage up and down the steps for you if required.
