Homey Vermont Inn
We had a nice stay at the Mt Philo Inn. The hosts are so lovely and super accommodating. The East Suite is spacious and homey. It would be perfect for a family. We were given a perfectly curated basket with all the fixings for a Vermont breakfast which we greatly appreciated especially on this snowy weekend. The location is wonderful if you’re interested in hiking as you can walk right to the mountain which we loved. The hosts even supply sleds for a bit of winter fun!

Delightful inn with local charm & great people!
When I forgot to book a hotel in Burlington for a business trip, I was really upset to discover everything was BOOKED! There were a couple B&B options, but none would take a late arrival - until I discovered Mt. Philo Inn. They took a 24 hour arrival and it was FANTASTIC. Nervous, I called & spoke with Dave who assured me everything would be fine. Finding my room was super easy - as Dave said it would be! He had the lights on in the entire West Wing, which was more than just a room. It was a freaking PALACE!! I had a parking spot right by the entrance & they left me a note with their number in case I needed anything at all. Because he had the lights on in the entire suite, I felt very comfortable which is unusual for me. I'm a petite female who travels alone & is afraid of the boogeyman 90% of the time. But, not here. The West Wing was amazing. The kitchen was amazing to cook in and the welcome basket of Vermont breakfast foods - oh man! Bacon, eggs, butter, cheese, coffee, pancake mix & maple syrup. I made eggs at 10pm because that basket and that kitchen were just CALLING to me!! After a great soak in the tub & a wonderful night sleep, I awoke to some yummy coffee, a gorgeous view of the lake, rolling hills, and gorgeous flowers. Unfortunately, I had to get moving before I could take advantage of the proximity of hiking trails. I hope I will be lucky enough to stay here again sometime. And, hopefully with some friends to fill the many bedrooms!! :)

Spacious Great view of Lake Champlain and the mountains. Porch provided view of fantastic sunsets. Very quiet location

Beautiful views near hiking
We loved our stay at My Philo Inn in Charlotte Vermont. The Carriage House was a nice big space with a spectacular large steam shower and large bathtub on second floor. The kitchen had everything we needed to fully enjoy the Vermont local food basket that was left in our fridge. Very little interaction with innkeeper sin person but over the phone they were delightful. Best aspect was DOG Friendly and we loved bringing along our little friends for a special weekend. The views from outside the Carriage House while seated at the patio table are incredible at sunset.

This is a lovely old house with all the modern conveniences in a beautiful location. Breakfast treats are provided but you cook them yourselves. It is an ideal place for a small family gathering.

peaceful, and enchanting
Enjoyed our stay.......a lot of space for just the two of us, but we were thinking of renting two rooms...it was a little more than the cost of two rooms at at a luxury hotel.....but we weren't isolated.....so I am justifying the cost.
