The motel is a little older and could use some updating, The price of the motel was a bit high, I was in a rush when I looked and after the fact discovered I could have stayed at a more upscale motel about 8 miles away for about the same price as this motel. With that being said, the staff was friendly and overall our stay was ok.

Friendly, caring staff & clean, neat room.
Room was clean & neat, but a bit less than sparkling. Typical hotel mattress was pretty hard, wish ALL hotels would realize most of us don't tolerate such hard mattresses! But pillows were soft, fluffy & plentiful. Also, room was very hot, despite the heat being turned off, but we were able to open a window to cool it down. Kind of a typical small town "Mom & Pop" place. No breakfast or any amenities except coffee. However, the staff was delightful, friendly & caring. We had made an error in our reservation & they were more than helpful in accommodating us, so we wouldn't miss a special family event that we were specifically driving up for! That more than made up for the short-term lack of comfort.

This is a no frills, older hotel, but our room was clean, beds were very comfortable and linens were thick, not cheap. The staff were very friendly. It was fine for the price and a good sleep as we were just passing thru.

Would definitely stay here again!
The staff was great. There is no elevator! The room was very nice but the beds are tall. We will definitely stay again. There is only one chair in the room but they did let us borrow chairs from eating area to play cards with the kiddo. Everything was very clean. Beautiful area by the marina, if only the weather would have been better we would have loved to go walking down there.

This wasn't a bad place by any means, and I would stay here again if I needed to, but I travel with 2 well trained dogs, and $30 per dog/per night adds up quickly. This was the highest price I have ever paid for a pet friendly hotel. Many other places even wave the fees entirely as long as they dont make a mess or damage anything.

Nice property on Lake Superior but unfortunately one of our two queen beds was terrible. Sloping & jiggling as you tried to climb on! Almost as if the mattress was balanced on a poor boxspring. I ended up using it as I am much smaller than my husband & could find a stable area on the bed to sleep. Also our bathroom smelled strongly of “old” urine. Suggest a deep cleaning.

The beds were terrible lumpy and uneven. The bedding was rough and scratchy and off white with wear. It was also hard for the air conditioner to keep the room a constant temperature . We would go back if these things were improved
