Wonderful stay. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Room was beautiful and exceptionally clean! Restaurant was above expectations... excellent. There was no cheese board on the menu but on request the chef produced one for us. Cannot fins any fault.with this hotel.

What a wonderful place to stay. The staff were extremely accommodating on arrival (Caroline) the Room was spacious and bathroom was amazing. The food in the restaurant was cooked to perfection. Amazing place amazing staff. Would 100% stay again

Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel, with loads of character. Room was huge, with lots of big windows, but this meant it wasn’t the warmest (was December when we visited though). Could have done with wifi booster for upper floors. Huge bed, just a tad too firm for me. Food was very nice and staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was great until i got up at 6am to get a bath no hot water , As i left at 6.50am i told a member of staff seemed not to be bothered , Try to phone hotel direct four time that day no one answered the phone

All ok with great potential.
Lovely building in beautiful grounds with plenty of parking. Check in relatively easy though why a charge or deposit should be applied to your card after already paying for the room i'm not so sure. Directed to a lift for the third floor which had a sign inside saying it may stop between floors was hardly what you need to see and certainly made finding the stairs after a priority! Room was beautiful & big with views out to the extensive gardens. Bar area comfortable but limited food choice, restaurant menu unavailable to look at unless going into said restaurant & staff ad hoc in the area so difficult to request much. Didn't pay additional for breakfast so cannot comment. Check out time must be adhered to or charges can be made to your card! On the whole its a beautiful place to stay even in the rain, as a last minute deal it suited my needs though I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price because the little niggles I had would have been much more of an issue had I paid rack room price. The hotel itself has a lot of potential if it can be managed well.

We only stayed the one night, although we could of easily stopped at nunsmere a few nights, room was very nice, spacious and comfortable.

Pleasant stay
The hotel is situated on an outcrop of land in a lake, making for a lovely setting. The room was comfortable and well provisioned for a short stay. There does appear to be an issue with flies entering the rooms during warmer weather, as we were advised to keep the windows closed. However, they still managed to find their way in, which caused a minor irritation. The only other issue we had was a lack of hot water on our second evening, so we were unable to have a bath, which was somewhat annoying. On reporting it to reception, we were told that no other guests had reported an issue, and that nothing could be done until the maintenance staff were on duty the following morning. We did not eat or drink the hotel, but had we done so, a 10% service charge is levied on all transactions, which seems a little excessive, since the food and drink is already sold at inflated prices. There are, however, plenty of decent pubs within a few miles of the hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Lovely manor house converted into a hotel with large marquee in grounds for weddings and corporate events. None on when we stayed so hotel not too full. It is an old building and the floorboards did creak. It keeps a lot of its charecter but as it is surrounded by a lake we were advised to keep the room window closed due to the flies of an evening. Very nice traditional room which was spacious and had large bathroom with traditional bath amd seperate shower. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Lovely grounds and almost on an island out of the way of any traffic or noise.

Was good as usual. Be better with 2pm check in and 11am check out as some other hotels. Flow from bath tap could be better and maybe some ornaments/pictures in long walkway to rooms.

We booked a junior suite because all other rooms were taken. The suite was spotless clean very big and the bathroom was so large and a pleasure to use. Well done to the housekeeping team. ( A hard job). We had afternoon tea which was lovely but a couple more sandwiches would have been nice. We would like to return.

Nice place, maybe not great for work travel
Staff and location both fantastic, the evening food was lovely too. A few things weren’t amazing though which I’ll list below. There is no need to have 2 single beds pushed together to make a double, especially in a room that is only set up to be a double room! So frustrating! The WiFi is truly terrible, I was traveling for work and the WiFi in the room was borderline unusable! Noisy floorboards, in the room, in the halls and in the rooms above. As soon as anyone moved above, it was like heard of elephants were in the room with me. Lastly, the continental breakfast choice was quite poor. The cooked breakfasts looked amazing but not everyone eats a cooked breakfast! Overall it’s a nice place to stay, but I probably wouldn’t stay there again on a business trip.

Island Gem
Beautiful building set in its own grounds surrounded by water. Friendly welcoming staff, good breakfast and huge comfy rooms. A really great stay for a great price.

Nunsmere Hall Hotel is in the heart of the Cheshire countryside in a beautiful location.It is a ideal for a quiet break or a wedding.The gardens are lovely.The hotel is an old coutry house full of character.We stayed in an executive room on the top floor overlooking the garden.The room was large with creaky floor boards.At 5ft 1inch,I struggled to get into bed,as it was extremely high,but once in ,it was comfy.There was a large safe in the wardrobe,but it was mounted on the floor,making it difficult to programme & use without lying on the floor,which is hard work when you an older person.The staff are lovely & friendly,The restaurant serves"posh"fairly expensive food.If you want cheaper food,there is a pub close by that sells cheap,good "pub grub".The bathroom had 4 lights,but only 2 worked.There was a bath ,a hand shower that didn't work & a big overhead shower that wasn't easy to regulate.The hotel is clean.Overall,we enjoyed our stay

Amazing hotel and very very reasonable . Beautiful setting. Only issue was there for work and so had some evening deadlines but the wi fi was absolutely awful. That needs sorting. Nevertheless, I will stay there again

Great hotel with super helpful staff. Food was excellent and we were fortunate enough to get a great deal from Expedia. Would definitely stay here again, ideal location for motorsport weekends at Oulton Park

Staying for a impromptu evening. Menu quit difficult to get hold of prior to visit. Was hoping for a roll top bath in the mini suite but sadly not. Everything was OK but I guess I was expecting a bit more. The bar was underwhelming and the breakfast was adequate.

Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel, quick and efficient check-in. Lisa couldn't do enough to help us . Nice relaxing bar area drinks reasonable. Room we stayed in was amazing, so spacious and the bed was comfy. Overall a fantastic stay and will be visiting again very soon.

Nice place but cold atmosphere Bar menu only. Not possible to eat at restaurant unless you pre book your food.. Difficult to find room. Check in not massively friendly. Pity!
