Long line to check-in, and despite check-in on time at 3:05pm, our given room window view is directly facing the garbage dumpster, not pretty. Bathroom door entrance space is very small, it passes a support beam vertically in less an inch when open it, I may hurt my fingers if I do not pay attention. Not too welcoming entrance re the building - the next door stores are shut down so the surrounding area is actually not pretty until you walked 2 blocks away. Basement parking lot is also outdated.

Pleasantly surprised but my the cleanliness and great area around. The 33 metro bus will take you right into DC near attractions. Outdoor parking for my long box, oversized truck was accessible. However, I literally took the very last spot on my arrival day. Not sure if it was because of staff parking or what.

I liked everything about the property from cleaning to excellent service , the lobby is very nice area, location is great! My only complaint is the they need to be upgraded. Room safe not bad but could be better .

I think the rooms need upgrade , particularly the beds . I didn’t like the fact the knock at 7:50 am at my door to find out the time I was leaving to do my room … it has being the very first time I experience this in any hotel… maybe they don’t have enough coverage which I can understand but why didn’t they asked me the night before .

This is a very well run hotel. Parking is super easy and reasonable. Front staff are friendly and very well versed and efficient. We really like this hotel !

Centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants - super quiet and a short Uber drive to American University. Enjoyed the options for breakfast and the hot cider in the afternoon.

We ended up extending our stay from 3 nights to 6! Great location, clean, quiet, exceptional staff! From Walter at the front desk to the kitchen staff for breakfast - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The Courtyard was clean and the rooms recently updated. We arrived after 9 PM and luckily the restaurant was still open. Every evening there are endless trays of delicious cookies. Convenient location. Exceptionally friendly staff like Chanda and the ever smiling Domingo. It's a happy place to visit

We stayed here with a big group of family for Thanksgiving. The hotel was in a great location - very convenient to shopping, restaurants & the DC Metro system. The staff really went the extra mile to make our stay great!

I was a bit skeptical before my arrival at this hotel because my initial experience didn’t leave a great impression. I called the night before to ask a few questions and confirm my stay and I was placed on hold for over 35 minutes. I stayed with my family for 4 days 3 nights. Once we settled into our room, which was around 7pm, I called to the front desk to ask for more towels, and if the remote control can be replaced because it wasn’t working. In less than 10 mins, the towels were delivered and the maintenance man came and replaced the remote control. The rest of the stay went seamlessly. It was quiet, clean and the staff were very friendly. This particular weekend was busy for the hotel because of sports tournaments happening near by. You would think that the management will have at least two front desk employees working at all times. I noticed that each day I was there, after 6pm, there was only 1 front desk person having to handle the check in, calls and check out to the concession stand. I stood online for 15 mins just to buy some snacks. The staff did there absolute best in trying to manage the amount of people that were waiting but maybe this is something management should review and better prepare for. Also, what threw me off is that the Expedia stated $24 per night for parking at the hotel but upon check in, it was $30. Then i overheard a different front desk employee tell someone else is was $28. Overall, if I were to visit again, I will definitely stay here.
