We enjoyed the old-town feel of the lodge, various antiques, and furnishings.It was very clean. I requested a hair dryer and it was provided immediately. My only suggestion would be to refresh the breakfast and snack area. From Friday night check-in to Sunday morning, nothing new was added and nothing replaced. We would stay here again. Also enjoyed the casual seating areas outside, watched peacocks, Guinea hens, cats, squirrels.

This place is a gem! This historic hotel is so sweet and the staff is so kind and accommodating. It was really fun place to stay. It is quaint and it is unique and it is worth a stop on your travels.

Unique lodge; a lot of charm Location does not offer very many options for eating. Ended up at a Subway.

We have a fine dining restaurant. but we are only open 3 days a week Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. We live in a small town, and we just don't have residents to support opening more. We have tried breakfast, lunch, dinner for the week but the overhead to costly. We are open to suggestions we have a cafe serve yourself for the guest mostly breakfast and snacks complimentary for our guest. Maybe if the town grows, we can revisit staying open more. Thank you!

Thank you for your input. as you may know we are almost 100 years old we are not Westin, Hampton we are the Putnam Hotel we go to great links to ensure your stay is wonderful our pioneer air conditioner is mounted on the wall, and you use a remote to control your temperature the degree you preferred. they are less than 3 years installed. Some of our rooms are smaller, but we do have larger rooms. We are always available to change or see to any issues our guest may have sorry about our TVS we are thinking about replacing them with larger ones. Our restaurant is always preparing new and exciting dishes for you dining pleasure

It's easy to rate a 4 and not leave a comment about your complaint. On week days we are hotel only on weekends the hotel is fully open including our fabulous restaurant our website states this . The rest of the week we do hotel business and events

Brilliant independent hotel in small town USA. Fantastic bar and staff. Not like a chain hotel. Beautiful gardens. Great spot if road tripping along 98.

Give Putnam Lodge a miss.
Picture looks great but reality is very different. This is an old property in need of redecoration. The room was okay but bathroom very small. Unfortunately the restaurant and the bar was not open on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Breakfast consisted of help yourself to small selection of breakfast items, microwave a breakfast sandwich and eat in your room. Not at all good particularly as ths 2 and half star hotel was £148 night!

Beverly and Ed were wonderful. They made burgers and salad and cocktails for all of us after the power went out after hurricane Idalia. The lodge and grounds were gorgeous and interesting. Would absolutely love to come back someday

We flew our plane into the airport and they provided transportation. They have an outstanding restaurant with great service and selections. Clean and quiet room, able to control the temperature in the room. Historic lodge with loads of history.

Lovely historic OLD hotel for a step back in time. Our room was small but others were bigger. We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner on the veranda will a guitars singer provided atmosphere. The outside grounds in the back could use some work. Probably we should have made reservations sooner to get a bigger room

The restaurant was excellent. Great food, great music, great drinks, reasonable prices. Room was very cold with no way to control temp. Breakfast was minimal, but adequate for us.

Be careful
Said it had breakfast but it’s just a room with very few things to eat and was never replenished during our stay. There is also nowhere to eat. It also said they have bicycles to use on property but that is NOT true. The walls are very thin and you hear everything from upstairs and all the rooms. It is out in nowhere so be careful there are no good restaurants near by. We did not try theirs but probably should have. The ground around the hotel were very run down. This is way to expensive for what you got.

Hello so sorry your stay wasn't what you in vision breakfast is a small cafe with milk, orange juice, coffee water and sausage biscuit Danish's and bananas, we replenished before we go to bed, but our cafe is open all day and night, it is meant to be breakfast. We have several places you can sit to eat. We do not have bicycles. We try very hard to maintain the grounds April we are ending winter and spring grounds are not that pretty dormant until May. You be might happier trying a Hilton but the last time I tried to stay there it was about 300.

This place is a sweet gem in the quiet country! Very clean and the staff was outstanding. The towel were thick, fluffy and smelled so good! We had dinner at the Restaurant and the food was outstanding! A . Very unique and lovely hotel. I can’t wait to go back.

We are one of the last frontiers. Growth is all around us our goal is to keep this area comfortable for the travelers and guest but true to small town we like our two traffic lights and knowing everyone by their first name. Truly couldn't find a better place to live.

Restaurant had great food and service. Rooms were more than adequate. Housekeeping was very good. Staff was more than helpful and quick to share the history of this hotel. Management was on top of the operations. It was like being in a relatives' home for the weekend.

Breakfast was about what you would expect at a Super 8 or Motel 6. Nothing fresh. Room was very disappointing. Mattress was good but the sheets were awful. The whole place is very much in need of an update. Won’t stay again.

We do have our moments we try hard to make your stay the best the breakfast is complimentary. our sheets 100% cotton we do offer cooked breakfast in the dining room for a charged.

The property was a little worn, or in the midst of repairs. Staff was very friendly and check in was easy. Comfort was great in our room. The only negative was that we chose to eat breakfast in the restaurant which had an extensive wait (nearly 40 mins) for a very simple breakfast which was highly over priced for what was provided. I would stay again for the accommodation, but would choose another location to eat.

We just finished painting the lodge and are working on the grounds for the summer. We do breakfast but only have one cook on duty he does the best he can to get your order out but for now we are not busy enough for morning breakfast to hire a server Thank You
