One of a kind, large, five star bed and breakfast near to restaurants, downtown! Hosts were amazing to talk with and breakfasts were delicious. Rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally specious! Hot showers with excellent water pressure. Quiet with gardens all around. Amazing views! You can’t beat this place!! Well come again and again! Ruth

Breakfast was amazing and property was very neat and clean. The room was wonderfully decorated. The hosts were so friendly and helpful! We had a great time!

This truly is a luxury B&B.The home is a lovingly restored turn of the century masterpiece, the gardens further the ambience of English gentility and the hosts could not be more engaging and accommodating. The impeccable decorating, the elegant breakfast… I could go on. Suffice it to say that we would return to Christchurch if for no other reason, to revisit this wonderful place.

Awesome B&B with a beautiful mountain view of Christchurch!! Grounds were so peaceful with flowers and butterflies. Barry and Claire were great hosts - wish we could have met Angela.

This is a beautifully maintained historic home. Angela and Barron are wonderful hosts with lots of information. There is fridge with drinks, coffee and tea and treats in the room. The bed is THE BEST. The house is only about 15 min from city central. There is a cool restaurant 10 minutes walk from the house in a "Scottish castle". This is a wonderful place to stay.

Bodde två nätter på detta pittoreska och trevliga ställe. Liret och intimt med rymliga sovrum. Ytterst trevligt och tillmötesgående värdpar. Bra frukost med allt du kan önska. Promenadavstånd till bra restaurang.

Angela and Baz were wonderful host! The room was quiet, spotless, and very comfy. Everything we could ask for from fun conversation, some nice wine and a great breakfast. Great place to unwind and relax for our last night on the South island!

We loved this charming bed & breakfast! The house is gorgeous, full of victorian character and splendor. It is set on a hill above Christchurch so you have amazing views of the whole city. After checking in late due to a long day of driving and going on a penguin tour in Banks Peninsula, both the hosts Angie and Barry were extremely gracious in letting us check out a little later so we could get a little bit more rest. The room itself was gorgeous - we had the garden room with a splendid view of the flowers and the city below - with a very spacious bathroom. The room had some complimentary snacks and furnished with anything you might need (hair dryer, toiletries, etc.) A fridge in the hallway had some complimentary drinks as well which was very thoughtful. The bed was comfy with many warm layers to snuggle under. Breakfast was an delicious spread of cereals, pastries, toasts, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, and lox. We had an amazing time sitting and chatting with Angie and Barry around the breakfast table - made it feel a lot like home! Thank you two for your hospitality, our only regret was that we didn't get to stay longer!

Great location and views. They prepared everything you could imagine before our arrival. The room is quiet and comfortable with well prepared as well. Desert, breakfast was fantastic.

First class service with a smile.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dyers House, the level of hospitality in my opinion could not be beaten anywhere, the amount of thought and effort that was put in to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible was very impressive. I would recommend this establishment to anyone without hesitation.

Enjoyed our visit
The only reason I cannot give The Dyers House 5 stars is because I felt that the breakfast provided was woefully inadequate for a 5 star accommodation. Breakfast was the equivalent of a cold continental breakfast (cold cereals, yogurt, fruit etc). The only things provided hot were coffee and toast.

Very enjoyable stay!
My husband and I stayed at Dyers House for our last night in New Zealand after a 10 day tour staying in hostels. It was wonderful to have a very spacious bedroom and bathroom with an absolutely beautiful view of Christchurch. Angie and Barry were amazing hosts, making us feel welcome immediately upon arrival (and even before arrival via email), preparing a wonderful breakfast, giving activity recommendations, and driving us downtown to start our day. My only complaint is that I noticed cat hairs on the bed and in the bathroom. My husband is allergic to cats (though I'm not sure he noticed as he didn't say anything...but he didn't sleep well either so that may have been the cause). However, overall, it was an outstanding last night in Christchurch!

高台で景色が良く、落ち着いた住宅街にある素敵なホテルでした。お部屋も広く設備も充実、お菓子、飲み物も自由に飲食でき、朝食もフルーツ、シリアル等あり大変満足しました。ホストファミリーのフレンドリーな対応も大変良かったです。

Best boutique accomodation in New Zealand
From the moment we arrived to the moment left we felt at home!! Lovely house, rooms, beautiful breakfast, lovely hosts... The small things in our room from the fresh flowers to the sweets/nibbles, make it a special stay and is remembered fondly!!! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Luxurious B&B
Staying at Dyers House is a wonderful experience! Angela and Barry Hawkins are very knowledgeable about the area, as well as being warm, gracious and humorous hosts. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Views of the city from the house are exceptional, and the gardens that surround the home are lovely. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Fantastic boutique hotel experience
This hotel is the perfect retreat for couples with beautiful, immaculate rooms and superb service (the beds are particularly amazing!) With only 3 rooms it really has a boutique feel and because of this the hotel owners Angela and Barry are able to give you personalised service. Nothing is too much, they are extremley welcoming, friendly and willing to go out of their way to ensure your stay is the best it can be. The views of Christchurch are fantastic and the location means it is perfect to investigate the Banks Penninsula from here. Overall a fantastic experience (breakfast is also delicious for those that really enjoy their food).

The owners, Angie and Barry make their guests feel special. The house has an authentic, regal feeling that is in step with the decor, all reflecting the early 20th century luxury of a bygone Edwardian era.

We had a fantastic time. Our hosts were very friendly and helped us understand the history and story of Christchurch. They booked restaurants and made suggestions for places for us to visit. Would cheerfully go back in a shot. Wonderful! food was great. conversation great!
