Courteous service and understanding of our need. We ask for a coffee maker for our room, and it was quickly brought in. We only wish the dresser would have been dusted.

The restaurant is closed until May. There is food available in the pub and for takeout. There is nothing available for breakfast. No elevator. Basic but clean room. Only one electrical outlet to use. It was necessary to ask for glasses. It was necessary to ask for a coffee machine. Coffee was provided, but no decafe. Friendly staff.

The staff were mostly friendly and responsive. The room was very dumpy, outdated and in need of a complete reno. We had to ask for almost everything to be brought to the room-the microwave, blow dryer, coffee supplies (not sure where they were hiding these amenities?) The room looked nothing like the one in the Expedia ad. There was no daily room servicing or even an offer of one. The shower curtain was dirty or at least badly stained on the inside with what looked like black grease. I would not stay here again.

I booked the hotel as it advertised itself as pet friendly. Unfortunately between the time I booked the room and arrived our poor little sweet dog died. The restaurant didn’t open until 11 am which was a minor inconvenience.

This is an old, but very clean, property. We just needed a place to stay for the night and it was good value for the money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. And the pub has fantastic pizza!!

Good place to sleep on the way through.
This hotel has everything except a renovation. The price, location, staff and amenities are all excellent. Everything you need is right there. The building is what it is.

Conveniently located hotel. Because our room was on the 1st floor and there was no elevator, we had to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs which can create a problem for more elderly people. The room was very average however the beds were clean & comfortable and we had a very peaceful sleep.

Staff was great , food and drinks were good , room was small , Ac was noisy had to unplug to sleep ,no usb charging ports , lack of accessible electrical plugs to charge phones ; tablets etc , no coffee pot good place if all you want or need is to eat ,drink ,and sleep

We checked in to the place and settled in the room. The room was on second floor renovated and was acceptable. However, when we found out that they were unsafely cleaning out the asbestos on the main floor units without proper sealing off the units, we requested for cancellation and went out of that place right away. We were very upset to find this place running for business while ping asbestos removal. This is absolutely unacceptable and causing us concerns to our health safety. They should really shut it down while doing this. Absolutely unacceptable and will never go there again.

Hi Jen thanks for your comments I just like to tell you that we were flowing all the procedures . ACE environmental company was doing that , you can check how professional they are . In the presence of WCB officer Timothy Crowe . We were shut down enough during Covid . Our employees need wages to run their family’s .

So let’s start by saying the rooms were clean - the housekeeping staff do a great job. The condition /upkeep of the property is poor. The entrance doors to the rooms were not to code, they are not fire proof doors. They appear to be interior house doors and one could easily break in. The lock to the rooms and the handles are basic bedroom door locks. Our room had mismatched hot and cold taps and the height of the shower head is set for someone around 5’5”, the water temp fluctuated between hot and cold as one showered. There was a large stain on the carpet in our room that was questionable as to what it was. We had to pay at time of accepting the room - but that made sense after when I realized there seemed to be no front desk staff throughout the night. There is no elevator. There is a pub and separate restaurant. The convenience was nice to just walk downstairs to eat but the food was average. To be fair, while we ate there was a number of dine in and take out orders so it is possible the food may have just been average to us.

Hi Tammy Thanks for your reviews . I will try to improve our service and motel . But as you know we are located in small town with 1500 people . And we rented a room in 89 and 99 .It’s an old building but we try to keep it clean . your expectations are two high you should go with name brands and they charge 400 night

I don’t mind if somewhere is a bit run down. But poor safety is another issue. Stayed in the hotel with my daughter as an overnight on our way to van. The locks on the door are poor, there is no peep hole to look through. The moulding on the inside is broken. The door numbers are written in black marker. At 1148 pm it sounded like someone was trying to break our door down. I called the front desk with no answer. We ended up using the only chair in the room to block the door. DO NOT STAY HERE. The advertisement from Expedia and photos do NOT represent this property ! It is not worth the risk staying here. We left.

Reserved a room online and was given the complete wrong room. I was told it was their only room and they could discount me $20.00, the rooms look absolutely nothing like the photos online. Dated, dusty and old.

Cleaning staff was wonderful. The rest of the staff were short handed and hard to get ahold of. The rooms were clean but outdated. The shower head was way too short to have a comfortable shower.

The place was clean and the staff were very friendly. I had been driving for 10 hours and the lady at the front desk was very nice even though I was checking in quite late. On another note, anytime I've stayed in a hotel for the past 3 years, I have put in the special requests that I would like a photo of Robert Carlyle placed on the bed (I use to be obsessed with him and then it just became a game of "who will actually do it") when I checked in, I was handed a small picture of Robert Carlyle on an envelope with some small candies inside. It wasn't exactly what I had asked, but the attention to customers and going out of their way to do that made my night and even though I was exhausted from driving, it made me smile. The room was quite small and while I was showering the water would suddenly run hot or cold, but overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I can not comment or rate much more as I was only there for the night and checked in quite late and then checked out quite early, but from what I did experience, I would definitely recommend this place in a pinch.
