We made reservations through hotels.com. We got to the hotel only to find out that they do not do online reservations. When we got to the hotel there was a sign on the door that said no rooms left sold out. Went to the front desk and the lady was very rude. Asked us if we knew how to read the sign. We had a conformation number, the money was taken out of our account. How were we supposed to know that they didnt do online reservations when they showed up on several different sites to book a room.

Roomless in Elyria OH
The Knights Inn in Elyria OH had no record on my Hotels.com reservation. When I showed the front desk attendant my Hotels.com Confirmation # for my one night stay (Check-in on 8/10/19) she blurted out in frustration, "Those people send us no information about reservations. I'm dealing with irate people constantly." I asked to speak with the Manager. She said, "I'm the on-duty Manager. I'll have to call my boss." She left the front desk area to make the call. When she returned she told me she could get me into a room with two double beds, but she couldn't give me the $67.35 rate that Hotels.com had offered and I'd have to pay $75 + tax in cash...$86.25 Total. After checking my wallet I told her, "That all the cash I have on me, but I need a room, so I'll take a non-smoking room," She replied, "I'll need a $100 cash deposit for the non-smoking room." I couldn't believe what she'd said, so I said, "What?" She repeated herself. I told her, "I don't have $100 cash and I can't accept a credit card because I don't know how to credit back your deposit on a credit card." I left the place, called the Elyria OH Days Inn and they reserved a non-smoking room for me at a rate that was LESS than the $67.35 rate that Hotels.com confirmed for me at Knights Inn.

Never make a reservation here
Made my reservation and had a confirmation, when we arrived they said they didn't have any reservations or rooms. We had to leave and try to find another hotel late in the night.

Continental breakfast was bread for toasting and cereal with no milk. The towels were dirty/stained, there was a hole in the wall, and we were forced to use a smoking room or do a $100 deposit. They also tried to charge $20 more than what I booked on the website when I arrived. Would have willingly paid the extra $7 to stay somewhere different if I had known what it was going to be like.

Stay away
We had to get a refund and find a new room. The manager was very nice . We had rented two rooms . They did not have our reservation when we got there. We finally got checked in and one room had bugs in the bathroom and smelled and the other rooms air conditioning did not work . The temperature was 87 degrees. There was also some very SHADY people that lived at the hotel.

Had made reservations way in advance for 4 rooms. I received a call the morning of the twenty-ninth tell me that the hotel was overbooked due to "incompetent" staff" and our rooms were no longer available. Not being from the area I asked her if she could find us rooms at another hotel. Was told she didn't have time for that but gave me the number to Red Roof. I will never book at Knights Inn again.

Terrible!!!
Hotels.com confirmed my booking, but did not communicate the booking with the hotel. I spent more than an hour and a half on the phone with hotels.com and working with the manager of the hotel to get into a room, this was all after a long day of traveling and working. I arrived at the hotel at 8:30 pm and was not into a room until after 10 pm.

This is a scam. Not a legitimate business.
This was the most horrible experience I ever had in a hotel. I never stayed in the hotel because I was not let in. I had a reservation, I spoke with the person in charge (Dustin) on the phone, told him I was coming despite the dangerous condition on their driveway and when I finally got to the door I was not allowed to come in. Dustin told me he was not going to let me in even though I had a reservation because It was "too late" and this was his "first day and no one trained him yet". I had made the reservation less than 20 min before showing up, I spoke to him on the phone and told him about the dangerous condition in the property and he said he was not going to refund my money if I didn't make it in. It was brutally cold and the hotel didn't plow the driveway. I had to park my car across the street and walk in snow that was knee deep and when I finally made there, he did not let me in. I'm also looking to report to the better business bureau and the local governing bodies what my experience was. I'm currently looking for an attorney to sue the Hotel for the negligence and for putting me in a dangerous situation. The best part was that they took my money, didn't let me into the Hotel in extremely low temperatures and refused to refund me the money. Hotels.com should NOT do business with this hotel and I feel that Hotels.com is liable to me for making this booking and putting me in harm's way. We'll see what the attorney says.

the room was dirty and full of bugs! Not good, terrible service, sinks, floors fridg, walls bed, pillows, towels. Everything was old and dirty!

Very comfy!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We came for my daughter’s graduation and our usual (much more expensive) hotel was booked. The bed was new and very comfortable ( I like a firm bed). The owner and his wife were helpful. The manager brought us over fresh bananas while we were having breakfast). It is arguably a no frills place but they had everything we needed and I would stay there again happily.

Not what I expected.
After checking in we went to the room and could not get in. We had to go back to the front desk and she reactivated the card. The bathroom was not very clean. There was dust in the corners and there was hair in the bathtub and on the sink. Then the next day when we came back tired and cold we again could not get in the room. Had to go to the desk again to get the card reactivated. The breakfast was almost nonexistent. There was only cereal, toast bagels and mini muffins. We will not stay there again. The staff was very friendly though.

Bad rooms
Gave us non smoking but smelled like cigeratte smoke. Complained move us to another room was ok. Upgrading they said only thing with that is a 32" t v. No one came to clean room in 5 days we stayed. Bathrm door doesn't close have to slam door. Kids runbing in front of door at 11:00 p.m.at night. Rugs nasty!!!!! Breakfast old as hell!!! Bad service!!!! Not recomend for stay especially if you have children.

We had no towels we had to ask several times and they only gave us two there was hair in the tub and on the sink the toilet would not flush there was a strange odor and the beds were extremely uncomfortable also the housekeeping girl look like she was a drug addict and acted very strange

we are in the middle of remodeling the motel.we are up grading all roomsa and for the house keeper she is very good at what she does. her makeup is a little strange but we love her.

Run away from this place!!!!!
This place was NOT a good place to stay for the following reasons: -Every time we needed help from the front desk personal I had to locate them outside in back of the hotel. They would sit out in the pool area and smoke. -When I booked the room I was told the room came with a refrigerator and microwave. However when we got to the room we where told we could not have either unless we where staying for 5 days or longer. -The smoke detector was missing from the room. -The phone that was located inside are room did not work when I tried to call the front desk. Turns out the phone cored had been cut. -To get clean towels I was told I had to take the dirty ones up to the front desk, they had to wash and dry them and then they would return them to us. It took two hours to get clean towels, and I had to keep walking to the front desk and ask about them. -The breakfast was beyond bad. Two types of old cereal with old bread and no hot food both mornings we where there. -The laundry room is really one old washer, and one old drier. The hotel has guess that seem to live there long term. As a result the drier always have items left in it long after it was done. -On the plus side the pool was full, clean and my kids did enjoy that. However the pool should close at 10pm and the front desk employee locked in up at 9:37pm -The beds where soft and the door locked so we where thankful for that. Everything else, what a mess!!!!

we do offer extended stay for guests and it does make it hard to use the laundry room. are rooms are being upgraded so we are trying to make the motel a nice place to stay. we have rooms being redone to put extended stay people in rooms away from main hotel.

we have alot of workers here at this time doing work in the area.we have cable tv if they had told us they had a problem we would of taken care of it.no one else has said anything about water pressure.

Our View consisted of a filed of hydro poles. They are in the middle of converting hotel and changing names. The room was dusty, the bathroom was dirty, the sink and counter was dirty. It looked like it was barely wiped from previous customers. I would never return here !!!!!

BAD CHOICE WON'T STAY THERE AGAIN
I BOOKED A ROOM FOR 4. ONLY HAD 2 SET OF TOWELS WHEN TO THE OFFICE WAS TOLD THEY ONLY PUT 2 SET IN. THEN A MAN WHEN AND GOT ME 2 MORE SETS. LADY AT FRONT DEST WAS RUDE. ROOM WAS DIRTY HAD FOOD AND DRINKS SPILLED OVER THE WALLS. THE KITCHEN FOR BREAKFAST WAS NOT CLEAN. I HAVE TO TAKE A NAPKIN TO OPEN THE TRASH CAN TO PUT TRASH IN. we are starting to renovate all are rooms and we are sorry if the guest was not happy with us. we would gladly if yhem a free stay if they come this way again. we only have a continental breakfast. and we had a full motel at that time. we are very sorry about the breakfast room. the rude employee is no longer with us.

the motel was close to restauants and other places of inerest.On our arrival to our room the remote for the television didnt work.Then when I tried to call the front desk ,I found the phone did not work. the bed was comfortable and the shower was great,but its always nice to have towels for the next shower which they never brought.My husband had to go to the desk and get them. during our 3 day stay the bed was never changed,nor made.trash was picked up once,televion never had a remote

Dingy and dark
Ick. It's a sprawling property and very few people were staying there -- which made it especially scary in the totally unlit parking lot at night. The whole place is pretty beat-up.

By far the worst experience ever. The Korea charged me more than than my reservation was for. I had to wait three hours for towels. The dryer had to be ran three times. Room service was once for four days. The staff were extremely friendly but the over all experience was the worst I've ever had and I stay in hotels all over the United States nine months out of the year.

Fit the needs of a quick trip
Speed stay to see family in the area. Just needed 2 beds under a roof with a locking door. Very basic room but available and had decent places to eat you can walk to. Easy to get in and out of. Not fancy, but the staff at the desk were very friendly.

Poor value
Hotel did not match the hotel.com price. Front desk attendant, although friendly, was unable or did not know how to override the charges. Though we were to pay at the hotel and gave the attendant a different credit card than used to hold the reservation, she was unable to verify which card was charged. Description said all rooms came with a fridge and microwave, but we had neither. We booked a room with a queen bed, but were given a room with 2 double beds. Breakfast was sadly lacking, consisting of cereal (with no spoons available) and some not-very-fresh muffins. I would not recommend this hotel.

Gross. My non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke so bad all mg clothes stunk when I left. The floor was sticky and wet in areas. Never again.

No frills budget hotel
Friendly check in lady - rapid check-in and check-out. Beds were comfortable in this budget hotel. Room was similar to what you would expect at most EconoLodge Hotels. Free breakfast included but the common room had a very strong chemical smell and the air conditioning was out so I passed. Great price for the area.
