The property has been our go to stop when wanting to visit the Cattlemen's Steakhouse in Faben TX and destinations in the area or further east along the I-10 corridor. It is older but always well maintained and clean and it used to be hospitable. It is possible that it is under new management. After my stay there on April 6 I went to the front desk to check out and advised the staff member at the front desk that my stay was nice and that there shouldn’t be any additional charge on the card provided. He advised that they would await a housekeeping report to determine if anything was damaged or missing. Not the most cordial of men. On my return stay on April 10, at check-in I noted posted warnings to customers at the checking desk for penalty charges of $250 dollars for failure to report a dog staying with you and another framed warning listing charges for unremovable stains to towels and bedding. Wash Cloth $25.00, Hand Towel $35.00, Bath Towel $50.00, Bathmat $45.00, Bed Sheets $150.00, Covet $150.00, Comforter $150.00, Pillowcases $25.00, Pillow Protectors, $25.00, Pillows $75.00. I asked the young man at checking how they determined that a washcloth was worth $25.00 and he didn’t know, he stated that it was something management had come up with. Not the most inviting/welcoming stuff to see between you the check-in staff at check in.

The front desk clerk was polite and helpful, greeting me immediately when walking in. The room was probably the cleanest room I ever seen in hotel. The bed was comfortable, but pillows a little flat. Loved the black-out screen for window, made room completely dark for sleeping. Breakfast was very good. I will most likely stay again if need a hotel in the area.

On Friday night the guess next door to us had a party and playing music really loud…. Had to call front desk and ask them to tell them to lower the music.. it was lowered and about 30 minutes later they played it loud again. They did not stopped them.

Worst hotel ever!!!!! To begin with we got a room that was still dirty and not ready to occupy. We went with our two little ones . We got moved to a room in the third floor which smelled horrible. The cigarette smell was so strong even though it says it’s a non smoking property. We went down to the pool and it was DIRTY. My youngest ended up with a rash. Pool towels were not available in the pool area and we had to go get towels from the room. The next day we get a $20 charge for a stained towel. Really? Before leaving we pickup all of our trash and left the room clean and we still get a charge for a towel that can be washed !to end this …what made this experience the WORST was the rude lady in the front named LUCY. She was being sarcastic when I spoke to her about my experience and not helpful at all . Please hire people that are KIND and Helpful when it comes to employees. This lady has no customer service skills. My 7 year old is more courteous than her.

Like sleeping in an amplifier
Every sound outside the room seemed amplified INSIDE the room. Thin walls? Sounds in the hallway seemed louder inside the room, how is that possible? Could hear all bodily noises from neighbors and stomping coming from ceiling above. So loud! Spotty wifi. The worst coffee I’ve ever had at a Best Western- weak, tasteless, more like dishwater. Friendly staff though. I would avoid this one.

The location of this hotel was great especially having a restaurant/bar right next door was really convenient. All front desk employees were very professional and helpful. Breakfast was good just wish it was different day to day.
