Charming old hotel on a quaint, historic block of Fort Cochin. We were only passing through Kochi for one night on our way to Alleppey and Athripally, but I’m glad we got to stay here. The rooms make you feel like you took a step back in time with simple, yet antique furnishings overlooking the namesake courtyard. There was a used glass in the bathroom the we arrived, but other than that it seemed relatively clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good. We were there during monsoon season, so there was a pleasant rain falling as we ate underneath the arches of an old hallway. The receptionist served as our porter and our waiter — he was so thoughtful and pleasant to us during our albeit short stay. I would recommend.
