We were badly bitten by mosquitos ay night
The place is good enough for the price but, the rooms have no mosquito netting on the windows so you can't sleep with the window open. We got badly bitten in the night by mosquitos and there is no aircon as expected for the price, the room did not even have a fan. We went home a day early because we did not want another night.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Posizione tranquilla,ma lontana dal centro. Parcheggio riservato. Ostello per giovani ma attualmente poco frequentato. Avevamo una camera doppia e il bagno proprio di fronte alla camera.

Good Place in Coimbra
We very much enjoyed our stay at CSI Guesthouse. Our room was on the first floor. We arrived in the middle of the night because of a missed rail connection, but the manager answered the phone number immediately and buzzed us in the front door. Our packet was waiting for us with our room key, front door key, etc. The room was wonderfully temperature-wise. The view from our room window was pleasant hillside. The view from the kitchen window was of downtown Coimbra. We walked everywhere; the University is uphill and downhill. The modern city is downhill from the University. The taxi ride to and from the hotel from Coimbra-B was about 8.5 euros each way, but we tipped the balance of the tenner. I took a bus to the Roman ruins at Conimbriga for something like three euros each way. Those were fascinating. It's a wonderful Portuguese hill town, set on the Mondego River. The wistaria was in bloom. The Torga Café - down the street, down the steps, a little farther down Rua Miguel Torga is delightful, and Duarte the owner loves practicing his English and delights entertaining you with his sandwiches, pastries, and soups. CSI is a guest house. You'll need to manage your room's cleanliness; the kitchen has everything you'll need, really, to prepare and stash your own meals. Wifi was quick and strong. This is a good place. We'll come back.

Very nice and helpful receptionist who also was very helping by recommending nearest places, where to go and what to visit - he showed it precisely on the map. It was great! One drawback is the noisy corridors. However, very quiet hotel surroundings. Close to Republican Square. Not far from the very center. Great price! Thank you :)

This place was an amazing surprise in so many ways... The check in is pretty much self serve..with a great system Fantastic price.. Big comfortable room.. I stayed an extra night And I ll stay there again..

Local limpo, não tive problemas com a acomodaçao, apenas na chegada ir faltou um ajuste que poderia ter sido feito na reserva. Estava chovendo, ninguém pra nos atender, sem bateria de celular e tivemos que contar com apoio de outra pessoa pra obter esclarecimentos de como abrir a porta e acessar a chave que possibilitaria abrir o quarto. Se tivesse mandado isso antes, faria contato com antecedência e tudo ok, sem chuva, sem espera, sem surpresa. No mais foi tudo bem. Outra dica, expor cartaz em língua portuguesa. Incrivelmente, em Portugal, no CSI, tudo somente em Inglês. Penso em quem não fala ou leia nada de inglês.

Ottima soluzione per visitare Coimbra, è un pensionato studentesco, stanze spartane ma comode. Cucina comune con comodo frigorifero, terrazzo per prendere il sole, parcheggio interno piccolo ma c'era solo la mia macchina

Stayed here on a trip with my husband. I didn't read the instructions beforehand but there's no one at the hotel (which is also like a dorm for students) at a reception desk, so we had to call the owner to have him let us in. Would have been tough to do without international phone service. No air conditioning and it was extremely hot. But other than that the room was clean, spacious enough, quiet (presumably because school was out of session), and the shower was lovely!! Wifi worked great as well. Can't beat the price unless you want A/C.

Mooie locatie, zeer vriendelijk personeel!
Het guesthouse ligt op een rustige locatie en het is dus wat verder lopen naar alle voorzieningen. Voor wie daar geen zin in heeft, is het ov een goede optie. De eigenaar is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De kamer en gemeenschappelijke douche/toilet waren schoon. Verder was het keukentje (compleet met koelkast/koffie-apparaat/waterkoker/magnetron) erg handig! Een aanrader!

На 1-2 ночи за такую цену - супер!
Чисто, комфортно, наличие кухни, холодильника. За такую цену - супер! Парковка во дворе - без проблем. В Буссако съездить близко.

Perfect hostel
It is a great and truly hostel. There is a place to laundry and two kitchens with refrigerator, toaster, coffe machine, etc. The entire hostel is perfectly clean and very comfortable (I felt like I was at my own home). There are rooms with private bathroom and they are like a normal hotel. The calefaction works perfectly and the room was nicely warm a night. Wifi works well and stable. The "parking lot" is, actually, public and free on the street. Definitely a place to stay.

É um segundo piso de uma residência de estudantes, maioritariamente estrangeiros. Muito barulho de noite, não há ninguém para vos receber, sem qualquer outro serviço alem do próprio quarto, dependendo do quarto com ou sem casa de banho privativa. Localizado numa zona sem qualquer interesse. A cama é razoável, a higiene é boa. Muito virado para publico jovem. Não aconselho para mais de uma noite.

Schlüsselzugang nur über Telefon möglich, es reicht die angebene Telefonnumer anzurufen, wenn man vor dem Studentenwohnheim steht. bei Anruf wird einem dann die Tür geöffnet und ein paar Erklärungen gegeben. Nach Eintritt findet man eine kleine Tasche mit Schlüssel für Haustür und einem Spin auf dem Flur des Zimmer, in dem cder eigentliche Zimmerschlüssel hinterlegt ist (recht großer, alter Schlüssel, deshalb wohl diese Lösung

Séjour dans cet établissement une résidence étudiante au calme dans un quartier très éloigné du centre ville donc très calme. déroutant par l'absence de personnel mais tout est prévu pour que cela se passe bien en téléphonant au gestionnaire. établissement très propre ainsi que la chambre. Obligation d'avoir un véhicule pour aller au centre ville mais l'on peut trouver des places de stationnements gratuites

Bien pour une nuit. Literie confortable. Petit bémol : nous sommes arrivé vers 19h et il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir, les portes de l'établissement étaient fermé. Il a fallut que nous croisions des anglaises qui dormaient là pour pouvoir entrer. Elles nous expliqués également le fonctionnement des lieux (par rapport aux clés). Nous nous demandons si nous aurions réussit à entrer dans l'établissement pour la nuit si nous ne les avions pas croiser.

Nice and relaxing stay!
Very nice for this price. Friendly staffs and clean. Actually this was my second visit to this guest house. This time was more comfortable since the rooms for tourists were divided almost completely from long-stayers, such as students who live there. So I did not need to worry about my bothering them neither being bothered. The only thing is that it is located up the hill and is far away from everything.
Thanks for your feed-back. CSI COIMBRA CLUB is the geograhic center of the city and have two main lines bus to get in 5 minutes to the old city as well another 5 minutes to the new city. Also, you can cross on foot all the city in half an hour cause Coimbra is a little city where all the students and people usually walk around. :-) next time... lines 4 and 103,... just outside our door! See you again soon
