We stayed here while biking the Katy trail. Convenient spot with a room to store your bike. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, but it is an old hotel. Good stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed for New Year's Eve. Everyone was very friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was VERY good and we really enjoyed the bar downstairs and the entertainment was great. I would love to go back when we can spend at least 2 nights and enjoy walking around Boonville. If I would change one thing, it would be the parking. It was a bit of a challenge but workable.

New Year's Eve get away
The hotel check-in and room were very nice. This was New Year's Eve, and the hotel had advertised heavily about the music and toast at midnight. The music was very lackluster and there was no toast or announcement at midnight. Very disappointing. The meal and service at the Fred was excellent, however.

We've stayed at "The Fred" many times over the years when visiting family and look forward to it every time. During our latest stay we were impressed again with the friendliness of the staff, the bar/restaurant offerings and the historic accommodations. We love to stay at the Fred and wouldn't consider anything else in the area.

Beautiful historic property! The staff (front desk as well as bar and restaurant wait staff) were all very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed. The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing! Definitely exceeded expectations!

The only thing I would bring to the attention of the hotel is the toiletries! 2 tiny, no smell, not even big enough to shower one time. Shampoo made my hair so dry and tangled I could hardly get a comb through it! No lotion for the cold weather . . . so take your own products! We were only 2 nights but used to having nicer products

Wonderful stay
This hotel was perfect for our weekend of biking on the Katy Trail. Make sure to check out the basement bar, which sometimes has live music.

Historic hotel has it all.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. We ate in the dining room, visited the two bar areas and a lovely, large room. The building is historic but not stuffy.

We were surprised that there were not the proper upgrades needed to meet the price point of this hotel. The beds were on cheap bouncing springs, shower and bathrooms dated with bad design, and the hallways were loud. This hotel needs more love than it was given. The food was heavy, without healthy options, breakfast was an after thought.

This was a rare opportunity for us to stay in a hotel that was over 100 years old and on excellent condition. It is also very convenient to the Katy trail.

Great remodel on an old hotel. Rooms nicely done. Don't stay on the Main street side. A very busy and noisy thoroughfare. Lots of trucks etc. Would definitely stay there again. The restaurant food for dinner was excellent.

Comfortable, clean hotel
We love this old, historic hotel! It is modernized, clean and comfortable, while also retaining its original integrity. Our only disappointment was that their dining room and bar are not open on Mondays, which was the day we were there. We would definitely come back again if in the area!

This place is a must see!!
The trip was more than we expected. The hotel was beautiful and historic, yet quirky and furnished with cool antiques. It had a cool, boarding house, speak easy vibe. Right before check out as we were packing our make up bag spilled and a bottle of nail polish shattered on the floor. We were panicked. We cleaned with paper towels and our fingernails and got up what we could. The hotel is historic and I didn't want to use chemicals that might cause more damage. I took pictures of where the polish was, it wasn't a large area, and went down to talk to them. They were so nice. They told us not to worry, that they had something to take that right up. I was so grateful. We offered to pay, and they said it wasn't necessary. We plan to make yearly family trips to the Fredrick. It was a beautiful place to stay, with friendly stay, and a restaurant and bar, great local attractions.

I was pleasantly surprised by this adorable hotel. The food was AMAZING, as was the service. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but if you appreciate places with character, this is a great spot. The bathroom situation in our room was… weird? Basically a bathroom inside a shower, with an odd choice of “slightly too small” shower curtain providing a little less privacy than I’d like when sharing the room with 3 other people, but it was amusing, if nothing else. The bathroom sink definitely had some pressure issues (as in there was almost none) which might have been more of a problem if there wasn’t an additional sink in one of the sleeping areas. There was also a full powder room in the hallway just outside our room, so it was more amusing than inconvenient. Overall, very pleased with the overall experience. Definitely somewhere I’d stay again, though perhaps not with my husband, as he is more of a “modern convenience” sort of guy. And a plumber, which made the bathroom situation particularly irksome to him, lol.
Some very interesting decisions were made regarding the bathroom…

Room 19 - tv didn’t have a working remote. Couldn’t find a remote that would work. They would change our room for a $60 upcharge, no thanks. The toilet kept filling up and running constantly. Road noise was loud. Clean hotel and nice location in town on the river.
