The bed was one of the best ones I’ve had in a hotel but they need updating there’s loose tiles in the bathroom but shower had great pressure. The refrigerator doesn’t work well and I guess getting room service every day is a thing of the past, our girl was awesome and she went above and beyond.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The location was very good as well. Unfortunately, there were some things that were not that great. There were long strands of hair left on a wall in the shower. I felt like the door to the room closed way too slowly. If someone was trying to follow me into my room, the door closing slowly would not have helped. Also, it would have been nice to have a heavier comforter/blanket on the bed since it was winter. It was hard to get warm.

This really lowered the bar for my expectations with a Springhill Suites. The smell in the hallways and rooms can only be compared to an airport bathroom. The whole place was damp, which just made you feel dirty (and no, it wasn’t the outside, the place was damp). I have only had good experiences with Springhill Suites prior, but I will actually listen to the reviews next time. The one benefit is there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Lady that checked me in was Super Nice and Helpful! Even when I called both times before came, customer service was Super Nice! Stayed in room 114 and it was clean and nice! However a used opened drink bottle of cola was left in fridge! But I can see how that could happen because it was pushed in back and housekeeper would have to really bend over to see it in back because fridge is sitting down low position! Other than that room was clean and spacious! If I have to come back to Columbus Ga for event , I will be staying there if close to the event ! Location was great close to Great restaurants and Sams Club across the street. Could walk down to several restaurants! Enjoyed my stay! No complaints!

I didn't like that after soeaking specifically to ymthw housekeeper, we were still not given fresh towels. She was outside the dior as we were leaving and asked if we needed anything, but failed to leave towels or remive the used ones. Also adter calling, none we brought to the room, we had to finally just go to the desk.

Still good option in Columbus
I have stayed here multiple times over the years. This time was not so great. Although the desk staff is very helpful, the room had some issues. I did report to the desk, but most were not addressed during the three days I was there. The linens were soiled (addressed right away), the tv did not get fixed, it was really hot in there (a/c in window gauging outside temp, not inside temp) and there was sticky stuff on the floor all around the sofa. It was not a bad stay at all -- nice staff, good breakfast, good premises -- just some issues.

Super disappointing experience. The towels and sheets appeared to have been laundered but were a dingy off gray color and stained. The mattresses were old and yellowed and one was most definitely stained, probably coffee. The room had two beds so I went with the cleaner looking one. The bathtub had soap residue that foamed up from the previous occupant and did not drain properly. There was also mildew on the ceiling. The surfaces were dusted but not cleaned as there was drink container residue left behind.

Quality of this hotel was subpar for Marriott properties. Humidity of the room was super high and everything was musty and moist. No lotion at bathroom sink. No mattress cover on the beds.

Dirty Linen & Poor service
I was called by (Shevon) staff to see if i was still checking in. I replied i was going to a concert and will check in afterwards. I arrived and Paul(staff) was very nice and professional while checking me in. I never went to the room, o just hot the keys and left out to get food. Upon return we watched Tv showered and attempted to get in bed and discovered the bed was not fully made up once cover was turned back. The sheets were dirty and the comforter was filthy. I immediately called front desk. Clean linen was brought to the room that we had to put on ourselves. Then the air broke. When i notified front desk Steven was apologetic. He stated he would call Octavius Pierce(GM) who offered to take off $30 which was insulting for a room with such issues. Steven said Octavious says he will call me when he returns on Tuesday. Very poor customer service.

The room I reserved and paid for was not available and therefore we didn’t have enough room for everyone in our party. Also all the televisions/internet services have been out all evening and no actual time for when it will be back. The towels in the bathroom were gray!! This is unacceptable for the Marriot brand.

The staff here was absolutely amazing. They were so supportive of our group of swimmers coming into town for a meet and bent over backwards to take care of us with breakfast, checkout, etc.
