I am very sorry Jeffery. The front desk clerk told me about the picture. I have no idea why it fell, it has been hanging in the same spot for years with no problems. I did remove both pictures from that room the day you checked out. Again I am very sorry.

I remember trying to get you checked in fast because you seemed rushed and in a hurry to get into your room. I am sorry that the desk clerk was not more helpful regarding the ice machine. As to the issues with the room, if you would have told the clerk, we would have moved you to a different room. Or we could have had someone come take care of the problems you listed. Unfortunately, once you check out there is nothing we can do, by not notifying us of the problem during your stay, you chose to stay in the room.

Hello Gretchen, first off I would like to apologize that you had no tissues in your room and that the chair smelled like a cat. I will address those concerns with housekeeping today and ensure they are properly corrected. The door from the entrance to the front desk closes and operates 100%, the front door to the entrance does close however it is a little off-centered because it is pulled open and closed so much, even by the wind when we have storms. And thank you for pointing out the valance. Hello Penny, it appears that even though the reservation was made for a smoking room, we were able to modify it for you and get you into a non-smoking room. You booked with Expedia, so we have no control over what was booked online in that process. We often see guests make smoking reservations and actually want non-smoking, often they have no idea, and that is why we ask at check-in. In the future, if you want to communicate directly with a hotel please call the hotel, and do not rely on 3rd party online messaging. Thank you for your review Penny, please have a wonderful day.

I am sorry you experienced that. We were unaware of any leak when we put you in that room. However, we moved you as soon as we were made aware.

Hello Eugene, I am sorry if you experienced any inconvenience canceling your reservation may have caused. I don't understand why no one answered when you called because we have someone at the desk 24 hours a day. We also tried to contact you by phone before we emailed you through Expedia.

I am sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience during your stay with us, Jennifer. The door at the top of the stairs is automatic soft closing for safety reasons. While it does not have RFID locks that can cause an unsafe obstacle for guests at the top of the stairs or a latch that could accidentally be left on causing a hazard in emergency situations, we do have cameras inside and outside, and staff at the desk 24 hours a day.

Joanne, I am sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience during your stay with us. I can not imagine how terrifying seeing a rat would be. We have not found any evidence that indicates a rat or mouse in any of the rooms. You are the first person to bring this to our attention and I want to thank you for that. Now we can address it. Our ice machine is cleaned and serviced regularly, the only complaint we have received regarding it is when it was not working. But I will be calling our service tech to come out and inspect it .
