If you enjoy sleeping, do not come here. The bed was hard as a rock, the air conditioner was broken, and the room smelt of sewage. Do not stay here to save money. Spend the extra 30-50 euro to enjoy your life. NOT WORTH IT.

An experience of ups and downs.
Overall I'd rate the experienfe a 6/10, as ut did take some time to get used to hownthis hotel is run and acclimitise to lack of services on offer. I'll split my ratings into 3 categories: Service, Comfort and amenities. Service - I'd give this a 6/10 as the staff at the hotel did a good job to make themselves a available. First night was almost a disaster as we weren't talked through how to control the ac unit of the room and it led to time being wasted, in a hot sticky room. Once that was resolved, staff were usually quite attentive and the hotel manager was helpful with providing advice on how to get across corfu. Comfort - I'd give this a 5/10. Overall, the rooms were clean and our rooms were cleaned every day. However, the biggest let down was the fact that my room had bugs and i was getting bug bites. This was hugely disappointing and made the first few nights disappointing. Hotel lounge was clean, as well as the pool side. Me and my family when we were at the hotel, spent alot.of time by the pool side sunbathing, which was a pleasant experience. Its quite peaceful also alot of the time, as it wasnt busy at the time we stayed. Amenities - I'd give this a 4/10. There were some stuff which were said to be available upon arrival but just werent provided. An example being an ironing service. This was unavailable and it resuled in me having to buy an iron which disappointed me. Also you didn't have a dinner menu, you ordered the food from a third party restaurant.

Siamo arrivati in questo hotel dopo una risistemazione da parte della società con cui avevamo prenotato…siamo subito rimasti delusi, le foto non corrispondono alla realtà dell hotel…camere piccolissime, bagno sporco e doccia inutilizzabile, e soprattutto sempre acqua ghiacciata se arrivavi in hotel dopo un certo orario. Dopo varie segnalazioni per via del rumore del condizionatore della camera accanto che andava in blocco, per cui era impossibile dormire, e anche per la doccia ci hanno cambiato camera, ma solo perché ci siamo rivolti ad Expedia,ma la situazione non è cambiata doccia rotta,anche nell altra camera. parlando con altri ospiti della struttura hanno confermato che in tutte le camere era così! Esperienza deludente

You should not take cash from your customers and refuse to give them a receipt. You receive cash on Monday and you refused to give me a receipt. Come back and I did still no receipt. That is illegal. I told you on Monday that I needed to change my reservation to depart on Wednesday and it was approved. I asked for my receipt as I departed and no receipt was issued. Your rooms are full of mold. You can open the door to the room because it has been damaged from the humidity.

Une semaine au top, le personnel de l’hôtel était très à l’écoute et au service des clients ! Le petit déjeuner assez varié et complet et grande piscine très agréable après les journées ensoleillées. Hôtel proche des arrêts de bus pour se rendre un peu partout sur l’île, c’est l’idéal ! Je recommande vivement !

Hotellet är långt ifrån det tre stjärnor som utlovas. Dom försöker hålla fasaden uppe men det håller inte måttet. Dom har gett upp. Halv chabbig mat. Trevligt pool område men slitet runt om. Rummen okej men inte mer. Sjukt små balkonger. Ingen utsikt. Grannarna direkt in på. Mycket lyhört. Personalen lossas jobbar. Ler å hälsar tills du ber om något eller påpekar tex oljud från teaig AC. Då säger dom att dom ska kolla med någon men inget händer. Närheten ner till gouvia är ett plus men att ta sig över en motor väg för å ta sig till stranden känns inget vidare. Lyckas ni boka en natt eller två billigt så funkar det men skulle aldrig boka detta hotel för en vecka eller mer. Dyrt. Drygt å slitet. Låg standard. Inga tre stjärnor 1+ mer än tre

Great stay!
A really lovely stay at Silver Bay Hotel. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, helping to sort excursions for us. Very good English. Food was nice and a variety of options to choose from. Perfect location, not far from the bus stop to get into Corfu old town and 15 min walk to Kontakali Bay or Gouvia beach. Rooms were slightly basic but for the price we paid, the hotel was great with lovely swimming pool and outside area and bar. Would recommend.

Trevligt bemötande, väldigt uppmärksam personal, förutom det faktum att de inte kunde städa vårt rum pga att de inte hade någon extra nyckel! Detta var det ingen som nämnde utan det fick jag själv ta reda på, borde vart enkelt att nämna vid incheckning eller av städerskan hon stod utanför dörren när vi gick ut. Vi fick lite kompensation för detta när vi bad om det men det kändes som en så enkel sak att åtgärda/nämna för oss. Poolen och poolbaren med personal var mkt trevliga, även frukosten var ok med mkt trevlig och uppmärksam personal. Otroligt trevlig kille i receptionen som reste sig varje gång man gick förbi:) Lätt att ta bussen till Korfu stad men man får gå på en väldigt smal trafikerad väg. Ficklampa på kvällen ett måste för att se och synas... mysig liten stad, tråkig strand. Ta hellre bussen mot Barbati o Nissaki, och bada från klipporna där. Korfu stad är ett måste att besöka en kväll eller två!

Fabulous - top class!!!
I have a very good stay at the Silver Bay. All of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Thank you... The room was good and clean. My one downside being there were only Greek tv channels in the room. However, I didn’t go to Corfu to watch tv!!! The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and bar area and it is very easy to get to other places on the island. All in all a great hotel.

Harvoin jaksan jättää arvosteluita hotelleista yms, mutta nyt on aivan pakko hehkuttaa tätä hotellia. Yövyimme 7 yötä Silver Bay hotellissa ja nautimme jokaiseta hetkestä. Emme koskaan ole kokenut yhtä huomiovaa ja ihanaa henkilökuntaa. He olivat aina valmiina auttamaan meitä ja tekivät kaikkensa, jotta meillä olisi hyvä olo. Suosittelen hotellia ehdottomasti kaikille. Sijainti on mahtava, sillä katu on suhteellisen hiljainen, mutta kävely Gouviaan on lyhyt ja bussipysäkki Korfun keskustaan on hyvin lähellä. Hotellin tarjoama ruoka on myös todella hyvää.

Hygglig standard. Mycket bra frukost. Restaurang med vissa bra grekiska specialiteter. Låg vid landsväg utan trottoar där man gick i stark trafik. Negativt! Mycket trevlig personal med service känsla.

Service and staff like staying in a 5 star hotel!
The staff and all the service was amazing, equal to a 5 star hotel. Very very kind. The rooms were partially renovated, but needed some more, they were very clean but not so big. The breakfast was perfect. Good location, easy to drive to Kerkyra and most other places. The most important is that you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel, because of the quality of service, and the behaviour. Also, the food we ordered twice had very good quality and excellent prices. Strongly suggested, especially for the price.

Vi havde en lidt uheldig start, hvor hotellet havde givet vores værelse væk til nogle gæster hvis fly var blevet aflyst. Vi blev flyttet til et andet hotel af dårligere kvalitet. Efter diverse diskussioner fik vi dog vores værelse dagen efter. Personalet var meget hjælpsomme og prøvede virkelig at gøre det godt igen. Hotellet har en dejlig svømmepøl og værelserne er helt okay standard i forhold til den pris du betaler. Der var er par ting, der ikke virkede på værelserne, men når vi gjorde opmærksomme herpå, blev det lavet. Igen kan jeg kun rose personalet. Virkelig søde, hjælpsomme og venlige folk, der arbejder der. Placeringen er 10 min gåtur fra den nærmeste lille by og supermarked. Men hvis man ønsker lidt afsindigt uden for meget støj, så er det et godt sted.

Ci siamo avventurati io e la mia ragazza per 9 giorni nella magnifica isola chiamata corfu principalmente arrivati in hotel siamo stati accolti gentilmente dal personale dopo aver risolto con tutti i vari documenti ci rechiamo verso la nostra attuale camera che oddio solo all'apertura della porta si avventa un orribile odore di fognature al quanto fastidiosissimo a primo impatto sorvoliamo magari era il primo giorno proviamo a rientrare il secondo giorno e la tale puzza si ripresenta fatto sta che io molto infastidito avviso la reception di cambiare assolutamente la camera,il mio desiderio viene esaudito e magicamente ci sposta in un'altra camera che sembra esser molto più spaziosa e confortevole ma rimane sempre il problema che in Grecia ho in qualsiasi posto all'estero non esiste il bidet e qui specialmente il piatto doccia quindi procuratevi delle ciabatte per appoggiare i vostri piedi sul pavimento è attenzione ha non scivolare cmq chiudo la recensione consigliando solo di migliorare l'aspetto interiore del resort e non solo all'aspetto esteriore ma 1 cosa pulizia 2 cosa modernizzare hotel. Per il resto buon pernottamento e alla prossima

Nice but risk of overbookings
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Nice breakfast with great varity of food, breakfast area on nice veranda facing garden and pool. Located on the west side of main road close to corfu hospital. Apx 5 min walk to Kontokali village center, 10-15 min walk to Gouvia. Bus station right by the hospital (apx 5 min walk). However the downside - the hotel overbook to prevent themself from having empty rooms due to flight cancellations (2018) on arrival I was told that they were gonna re-locate me to another part of Corfu. I was not happy with this information as I was specifically looking for hotels in Kontokali. When I just wasn’t going to give in they finally gave me the last available room in the hotel. Leaving someone else without. I was happy it was sorted out and greatful to the staff who are left with this impossible situation of overbookings. As I travel solo I choose hotels very carefully and I absolutely don’t want theese kind of surprises on arrival. I’d think twice about booking this hotel again. Unless you have an early flight and can check in directly in the afternoon the risk of being relocated is probably high. So in conclusion very nice if you acctually get a room. I didn’t try out the pool due to restrictions of only to be used 10-19, I would have loved a morning after run swim though.

Nice, friendly hotel, with easy access to Kerkiyra
The pool area was very pleasant, not too busy. The room (although the bed was hard) was exactly as advertised, and there were no mosquitoes bothering me! It would benefit from having a toilet close to the poolside as the nearest one was down stairs from reception area. We ordered cocktails but they were not as we would expect served in a plastic pint style glass with no decoration. The internet connection was intermittent once in the room but fine elsewhere.

Accesso da strada dissestata e buia, pericolosa alla sera o con motorini, condizione non segnalata dall’hotel e dai tour operator. Blackout di 5 ore non gestito adeguatamente (mancava anche l’acqua) In tutti i bagni con doccia ( vedi foto ufficiali) manca il gancio adeguato al supporto della cornetta, pertanto si fa la doccia tenendo in mano la doccetta, oppure appesa spruzza ovunque! (Scomodissimo) Sostituita la doccetta a richiesta di intervento risolutore, ma non si riesce a spiegare che il problema è il gancio. Atmosfera poco “famigliare”/tipicamente greca.

Fantastic staff and great location.
Perfect location, tucked away from the main road and only a 10 minute walk to the marina or beach in either direction. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Sofia, Despina and the 2 Georges were lovely, always happy to help and point me in the right direction or give a recommendation. It was exactly what i needed as i was on my own for my stay at Silver Bay. The food was excellent, with the option of a set and very reasonably priced menu during the day. I chose to eat from the menu one day and tried some local dishes that were incredible. The breakfast and dinner set menus were equally good. My room was always kept clean and tidy. The only thing i would add is the towels were grey even when clean. And the shower in my room meeded fixing, i had to hold the shower head. All in all it was a great hotel, the location, staff and food made mu experience.

I had a wonderful holiday staff were all friendly and helpful the hotel has a good sized swimming pool, food was good with attentive service from staff. My room, being a single traveller was a bit cramped but was clean and all services wifi , air con,sattelite tv and shower operated well. I would recommend the Silver Bay Hotel to anyone looking for a chilled refreshing break. ps,providing a laundry service for guest's would be a goo addition.
