Wonderful stay, everyone was top notch and super hospitable. Nothing felt out of place, and the amenities were perfect. Would love to stay again.

West Cork Hotel!
Everyplace was gleaming. The staff were very friendly and helpful to me. I was told the time to move my car from being parked beside the hotel, to the Hotel car park. I really enjoyed my two night stay at the West Cork Hotel. I hope to be back again sometime.

We experienced very very friendly staff throughout our stay! The hotel enjoys a very tasteful interior design. Our room was just renovated and nicely decorated. The bath is a bit dated, but everything is very clean! The hotel is located close to the river, and just 2 min walk to the center of Skibbereen. Just perfect!

It’s an older hotel, quaint, we had an excellent dinner in their restaurant, parking was close, check in went smoothly, the room was OK, older fixtures but functional.

Phone not working in room. Even when a replacement phone was requested it was not acknowledge by the duty manager. A very important feature for a. Couple in their 80's. Noise from adjoining room at 3am- could not complain because their was no phone available. Ticking noise from smoke detector which I understand affected anumber if other guests and eventually repaired. They did give us a discount for the inconvenience though .

For the price this hotel was awful. 149 euros not including breakfast! Should have been half that price given it’s dated and uncomfortable condition

Very nice Hotel, but the breakfast is too expensive. If you order The "Works Breakfast" at 16,95 € you will be charges for an additional 2,95 € for toast + 3.00 € for 1 cup of coffee + 3.95 € for Only 1 glass of orange juice. So your breakfast will cost you 26,95 €. We have taken only one cup of coffe because will believe that we will be charged again 3.95 € for per additional cup .... The Breakfast Menu is not very clear, at least for us because it was said that the breakfast will be with coffee and orange juice. So

Comfortable stay
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious as was dinner. Good location near the Heritage Center and downtown area.

We spent a night in Skibbereen and did the nighttime kayaking tour on Castlehaven Bay. We enjoyed everything about our stay there and breakfast in the morning was wonderful! Would definitely return to this hotel!

Great team welcome. clean. but, toiletries in Bathroom were single use. refillable the norm in many hotels. the breakfast was bland. staying in two hotels in West cork within 4 days, very noticeable the difference. First hotel, had homemade, bread, scones, preserves, granola, the origin of the produce outline on menu, highlighting local produce. the West cork hotel had nothing similar. mass produced, lacking in taste , flavour. Did not appear to support local. No area to relax after a day out. small bar for evening food, but if no reservation no availability.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The dinner was delicious! We sat outside for drinks afterwards and it was very relaxing. This was a nice little stop between Waterford and Ring of Kerry!

Lovely hotel on the ilen river in Skibbereen Stayed there 30 years ago when visiting family. Nicely updated with great bathrooms but keeping the charm! Only criticism is the vague breakfast options Need a description of what is a continental breakfast Are ala Carter options available? Great stay!!

Nice hotel, but dinner a little disappointing
The hotel is in a great location for exploring west Cork. Our room was clean, bright and spacious… the water pressure in the shower is gravity based rather than a power shower, and given it was a large shower head the pressure wasn’t great. Breakfast was nice on both mornings, but our evening meal was a bit disappointing for the price. I’d a sirloin steak (€31) which looked more 8oz than the 10oz it was supposed to be, it was tasty, but the accompanying chips and onion rings were obviously just the type of frozen ones you can buy in Lidl and added nothing to the meal. My friend had pork that was supposed to be marinated in garlic and rosemary, but arrived covered in pepper sauce… he said that’s all he could taste. The waitress offered to change it, but that would’ve taken 10 mins by which time the rest of us would be finished our meals. Our stay overall was good and the service was attentive and pleasant. We would return, but would dine out elsewhere in the evenings… and there’s plenty of choice in west Cork.

Rundum zufrieden.
Wir waren für eine Nacht hier und wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Zunächst wurde uns ein sehr dunkles Zimmer zugeteilt, in dem es dann leider auch extrem nach Rauch stank. Wir haben aber sofort ein anderes Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk bekommen, das sehr schön und komfortabel war. Betten sehr bequem, Zimmer groß & geräumig, Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Frühstück sehr zu empfehlen, große Auswahl, es fehlt an nix. Lage sehr zentral, alles zu Fuß erreichbar.
