Exceptional!
Absolutely brilliant stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy! Really comfortable bed and pillows and so very clean! Food was fresh and very tasty. Couldn't fault anything!

Positive notes: Very nice and friendly people. The hotel and the room were very clean. Well prepared and safe for covid. Dislikes and what to improve: Very slow wifi in room 9. I suggest to have a wifi booster. TV antenna issue: we couldn’t watch ITV2 and many other channels. It was keep saying no-signal. Faulty shower heater: on high flow - water was keep getting cold and then burning hot. In was working fine on Eco mode. In general very poor water flow. Most of dog Friendly hotels, have a section in their restaurant for dog owners. Here dogs are not allowed inside restaurant at all. There is also no any alternative area for dog owners to serve food. They don’t serve food outside. So we had to have the breakfast inside the room. But we were struggling to eat our break fast inside the room as the room was super small. We wanted to try the dinner, but again we couldn’t because of our small dog. Room 9 size: I have never seen a hotel with a double bed room as small as this room. Room 9 has no view other than recycling bins. We could hear guests on walking on the above room and also hear next door room. Very hard to sleep. No water at room. Most of the hotels offer small bottle of waters inside the room. I consider this is a family run business hotel. I’m sure the reviews are important for them. That is why I give them a 4 star. If it was a franchise cooperate hotel, I would give lower score.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in.
I have never stayed in a place like this. The staff are all friendly and give 5 star service. Everything has a comforting home like feel as well as being really classy and extremely clean. The restaurant felt homely whilst offering 5 star service and excellent food. We spent half a day walking around St Agnes, the beach is romantic and beautiful, the walk down is lush. We walked up the trail to The Beacon which has out of the world views and watched the sunset. The beds are ridiculously comfortable and you can tell the owners of this beautiful place really really care about your experience. This is luxury without the cost. We will be back.

Very friendly welcome to this very well situated small hotel. We ate in and had an excellent dinner. Very good breakfast. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Look forward to visiting again

Delightful friendly and airy and caring hotel near St Agnes Famy run, and helpful, like I needed access to landline for a radio broadcasting I was making. Food is great too!

Faultless stay
A wonderful stay from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. The owners and their staff are the best and looking after you is their priority. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The meals are excellent and superb value. Overall faultless.

Amazing Service
Nice, adequate rooms with some great views. Absolutely impeccable service throughout, attention to every need, and COVID safe. Pretty decent food also!

very friendly staff, good breakfast, and just about the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in, top marks! only small comment is the description on Expedia that says it's 0.1 miles out, the reality is that it's a 15/20 minute walk to get to the shops/pubs. some of it along single track road.

Bit of a gem. Nigel and Jane and their team are absolutely lovely. The hotel has a warm friendly feel to it and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived until we last. Wonderful comfy beds, super clean everywhere and the food was superb. The setting is so peaceful with great views. We will definitely return. It’s a very special place.

We enjoyed a pleasant stay at Beacon Country House Hotel. Our room had an incredible view over the countryside and was warm, comfortable and had excellent amenities. The ensuite bath and shower were great (and we used both!) and tea/coffee facilities much appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel offered us everything we could've needed for our stay in Cornwall. It was easy to walk out from so we could leave the car behind and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Short break
The hotel and all the staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! The view from the delux room was worth the additional money. Unfortunately the budget room was overlooking rooftops and the back of the kitchen, hence the reduced price.

A perfect destination if you need a place away from city noise with all the services available. Very clean house hotel with a super friendly staff, totally recommended to book there.

Excellent friendly hotel in Cornwall
A truly excellent hotel to stay on the north cornish coast. Food was really good, the rooms and gardens wonderful, and the staff and owners were kind and helpful. It was really like staying with family.

Quite country visit
The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. I felt as thought they cared deeply about the needs of their visitors. The hotel is situated in a rural area, a 10 minute walk from the nearest village. The site is peaceful, and the hotel grounds are delightful. There is ample parking and a convenient drop-off spot for those unable to amble up the short slope from the parking area. I had a very pleasant breakfast. Food was made to order, good quality and delivered promptly. The room was very comfortable, and in excellent condition. The shower area was clean and looked as though it had been renovated recently. No sign of wear and tear. Wifi was adequate, though it did cut-out briefly. The best part of this hotel is the setting (up on a hill overlooking the countryside) and the staff (friendly and attentive).

Nice family run, friendly hotel
Our stay was a last minute booking. On arrival the hotel greeted us by name, since they were expecting us that day, which was nice. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location, is in a pleasant rural setting but within easy reach of many attractions. St Agnes is only a short trip (or walk) away with a beach and a range of shops and places to eat out.

Friendly and well maintained.
A very pleasant small hotel with really friendly hosts. I suspect it might be unfair to judge a hotel based on its last working day before closing for the season - hospitality pleasant, several light bulbs out in two rooms, twin room booked wasn't prepared so double offered instead, and a hiccup with the bill. However, the owner and family were very friendly and I can imagine it being a pleasant place to spend a few days.

This hotel is absolutely spotless John,Lorrena and the staff are amazing,this friendly hotel is a secret I will not keep there is nothing that is too much trouble.We had a lovely weekend and the chef cooked us a lovely dinner.We will be back soon

Lovely, clean hotel with incredibly friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Comfortable, spacious bedroom. Good breakfast choices. Close to St Agnes bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

arguably, the most friendly hotel in the UK.
Hard to fault. I think most people will love the place. Don't forget to walk to thetop of Beacon Hill. Only 15 minutes away. Stunning views.

fantastic location - overpriced hotel
we booked this hotel as most of the B&B were full due to the wedding in the village. The staff was friendly and chatty. The room number 1 was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was superkingsize and comfortable. The location was perfect. The only things that didnt reach the standard of the price was a strong smell which was comming from the bathroom. Maybe it was due to the sewer maybe not. The bathroom didnt have a natural ventilation so we ended up ventilating the room during the day and ensuring the bathroom door is shut during the night. My husband was very upset with the quality of our breakfasts. The coffie served to us was not a ground coffie though served in cafeteria. When we asked for a new cafeteria it arrived without any grains. I am not sure what is these all about... Our toasts were crispy in the middle while the corners were soggy and dump, maybe because they used frozen bred I am not sure... Overall not the breakfast for the £132 per night. So overall £264 for two nights. It could be much better! The refurbishment and decoration are not enough.

Great hotel with very friendly and super service
Highly recommend this hotel, rooms are great, very clean, all amenities needed, our room had a sea view, lovely owners who couldn't of been more helpful, let us into our room early as we had a wedding to get ready for, great home cooked breakfast, hotel has lovely large gardens and is perfectly situated about 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk to beautiful st Agnes, also recommend going to schooners in st Agnes for lunch, it's fantastic
