One night stop on a South Coast Path walking trip. Clive and his wife were great hosts and the room and the breakfast was first class

Made to feel welcome on arrival. 9.5 Full English made to order. Enjoyable non intrusive conversation during breakfast with Clive the chef/owner. Would not hesitate to recommend or book again.

The hotel was clean and the hosts were very accommodating and kind. The only issue was the parking when lots of guests were there as you have to block eachother in, but that was sorted with an 8am car shuffle. We had a lovely stay.

Séjour agréable, calme et belle vue.
Séjour très agréable avec une chambre avec vue sur la baie. Hôtes très accueillants et pdj complet. On peut garer la voiture juste devant. Seule la terrasse mériterait un petit rafraîchissement. Le resto "Bistro" sur la plage est très bien avec des spécialités de la mer et pas chères. Des ballades sur le sentier des douaniers sont possibles depuis le logement.

Great B&B spotlessly clean.
Fantastic place to stay, welcoming and friendly hosts, spotlessly clean and an exceptional well cooked breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful, especially breakfast
I stayed 2 nights in a single room, it’s a simple and unpretentious B&B. The welcome was warm and friendly but not intrusive, I really felt valued as a guest. The room was large enough, simply furnished and with everything I’d expect. The room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a highlight, in the bay window room all cooked to order and of excellent quality. A really nice place to stay. Recommended.

Ein sehr gemütliches und uriges B&B mit leckerem English Breakfast. Der Ort ist abgelegen und ruhig und nur über sehr schmale Straßen zu erreichen. Im Nachbarort gibt es einen hervorragenden Pub mit ausgezeichnetem Essen.

wow we turned up late to but having kept the owners updated and had a really hard days cycling they still cooked us a really lovely meal in the evening, really freindly and helpful owners

Best value for money of my trip
This is a great place to stay. It is a lovely big house, in a great location with fabulous views. The owners are very helpful and provide a great breakfast. They may also provide an evening meal but I was too tired to explore that option. I had a lovely single room with an en-suite bathroom. The room was warm and comfortable with a great sea view. The breakfast room also has a wonderful sea view. I highly recomment Gallen-treath Guest House.

Alles schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr eng und klein das Zimmer. Wir konnten kaum 2 Koffer öffnen. Bett war für 2 Personen sehr schmal. Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt und aufgeräumt.

Sehr familiär, konnten sogar schon früher frühstücken um 7 Uhr, schöne Lounge mit Blick aufs Meer hinab. Etwas abgelegen, enge Strassen, aber haben vorgängig Tipps bekommen, wo wir durchfahren sollten. Reservation fürs Essen am Abend erforderlich, besser schon 2d vorher, hat noch 2 pubs im Ort

Excellent views down the valley to the sea from a lovely room, clean and spacious with large windows. Owners very friendly, and the breakfasts were superb!

A surprise hotel
My hosts are very nice persons who are fun and good hearts. The house is full of collection of traveler from all over the world. Breakfast is well cooked and of plenty of choice. The viewing of house and each room has amazing mountain and sea surrounding. Everything is very clean and in good order.
