Very close to the beach and offers great meals.
I used The Dolphin Tavern for 1 night with my wife. The location is walking distance from Penzance Station(about 10 minutes.) However, my Google Maps App had problem with the location so it took more than that. The room was great. It might be inconvenient for some people as it does not have any elevators but it seems like only 2 floor building. So, unless you have a large luggage, it won't be a problem. However, due to the Tavern's history the water facility was quite noisy. When I flushed the toilet or took a shower, big sounds came out. When I was very quite, I could here it from other rooms. Except for that, the Tavern was great. The food was so delicious in the morning and in the afternoon. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I personally recommend this Tavern.

Nice place to stop in Cornwall. Location is good, staff were all very friendly and the accommodation was comfortable. I’d happily stay again.

Very nice room - clean and large with a great view over the harbour. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. We arrived at 8.30 pm during the Godowan Festival when the pub was very busy but they found us a table and kept the kitchen open late to feed us. Also provided us a great cooked breakfast before the normal time as we had an early ferry. Few hotels would have been so flexible, friendly and accommodating.

Property was convenient to local sights. Staff was extraordinarily friendly and attentive. Food was good. Pleasant atmosphere and local color. Parking is a challenge.

pleasant stay nice breakfast & friendly staff, only one minor issue regards room it had a saniflo toilet pump bit noisy ! did not get room shown on website but it was comfortable enough

Dolphin highs and lows!
I stayed at The Dolphin prior to an early sailing the following morning to The Scillies. The hotel was literally at the end of the Quay, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. I stayed in Room 2, which was spotlessly clean and everything worked. However, the floor had a definite 'list' (no, I hadn't been overindulging!) which was quite disconcerting, especially in the bathroom. Not totally unexpected in old buildings, though. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, although I was disappointed, as a veggie who had made them aware of that on booking months before, that they had no veggie sausages for my veggie breakfast plate. However, they gave me field mushrooms on toast in compensation, which were delicious. Took me back to my childhood.

A one night stay after returning on the Scillonian Ferry. A warm welcome to a clean refurbished bedroom. Some modest tragic noise that disappeared overnight. Decent food with rapid helpful service made this an ideal stop after a travelling day.

Cannot fault!
The best hotel I've stayed in for a long time. Service was great, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the room was perfect. They went a little further and reserved a table incase we wanted to eat in. I cannot fault it and they completely adhere to the Covid Rules ! Would totally recommend this hotel.

A little gem.
We were greeted by Rosie who was so helpful and friendly. She made us feel at home right from the start. Our room ''Tater-Du'' was delightful with a great view of the harbour and of St Michael's Mount. It was clean, warm and comfy with plenty of tea and coffee available. Everyone was full of smiles and warmth. The food was delicious and in good portions. Wanted to stay longer than the 2 nights......we were having such a great time with surprisingly fabulous sunny weather.

Amazingly spacious room, fabulous shower and tasty breakfast made the Dolphin a great choice for our recent birthday break. The whole room was sparklingly clean too and so comfortable. We would recommend !

Comfortable stay opposite ferry terminal
Clean, well-presented room with ensuite bathroom including a bathtub. Stair access to room above the pub. Good breakfast. Perfectly situated for the Scillonian ferry to the Isles of Scilly, which is directly opposite. Would recommend for 2 people.

宿自体は歴史もあり古いが、宿泊する上で問題となるようなことはない。トイレの排水なのか、換気扇なのか時々大きな音が鳴って驚いたが、それ以外は何事もなく過ごせました。

Enjoyed our night there
Stayed one night when visiting some friends. There are only three rooms so we weren't disturbed by others. The room was very comfortable and the en-suite was spacious and clean. We had a traditional English breakfast but there were other options available and the service was good As the Dolphin is by the main road and adjacent to the harbour it was a bit noisy in the morning. We were also woken early by a barking dog whose owner had stopped to chat to someone and was oblivious to the dog continually barking. That's not the fault of the Dolphin obviously but secondary double glazing might have helped.

Enjoyed our stay!
We like the pub-hotel. It was very cozy inside and we had a good breakfast in the duration of our stay. A short walk to penzance station as well. They have billiards in the pub as well which is good to enjoy a bit when youre bored in the room. Wifi is not working in our room tho! Thats the only downside.
