very out dated room toilet put on wonkey need updating everywhere card from the cleaner saying ive cleaned room but missed the massive cob webs in the room stains on the sheets not mattress cover on the bed

First time staying here, as my usual hotel didn't have a room. In fact this place was nearer where I needed to go. I chose it because it accepts pets at a reasonable price, compared to some other places which would have cost me almost as much for 2 dogs as for 1 human. As some other reviewers stated, the decor looks a bit scruffy and uninviting, but the cleanliness was good and the bed comfortable. The place does seem to run understaffed. When I arrived I was unable to access reception or get through on the phone. But after a few minutes the staff member turned up, having had to deal with something. He was then very helpful. One benefit for dog owners is that each room has an exterior door, in a motel type arrangement. Hence no corridors as in a normal hotel. When my dogs hear someone walking in a hotel corridor they think that an intruder is in "their" house! The hotel is surrounded by grass, and there is also a good dog walk to be had by going left at the roundabout where McDonald's is. Then look out for a small gap soon on the left where you can access some grassy areas, woods and blackberry hedges, and maybe rabbits to bark at.

Try a hostel, checked in went to room and went straight back to reception to check out. I am not a snob by any stretch but couldn't even use the toilet never mind sleep in it.

Easy parking. The interior was very worn and needed a face lift. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on a bag of spanners.

Choose somewhere else
Room was cold, no blanket provided. TV didn't work and the towel they provide is only a handtowel. Not much help when you're 6 foot tall. Bed is too soft and i was woken by people arguing and swearing outside. I didn't feel safe. Do not reconmend

Wouldn't Let My Wife Stay On Her Own!
Firstly, this is a Motel, not a hotel. It's one of those French style places that has the minimal of everything, and want to charge you for everything else. The stay was definitely uncomfortable. I made the decision due to how near it was to something I was going to. I didn't feel I could leave any valuables in the room at any time, even if I was going to breakfast, which is in the main reception area, separate from the rooms - Motel style. The condition of the bathroom was "tired" to say the least. I had dried red liquid on the edge of my bath, and I didn't know if it was blood or what... Because they run minimal "everything" it took ages to get booked in, and other "guests" who wanted to buy something couldn't, as the person on reception was dealing with me... so their level of frustration grew the longer it took. The room was clean, and very very basic. Only had 2 plugs, after I unplugged the room kettle. No plug beside the bed, so wasn't able to charge my phone at night, and I didn't want to leave it right at the window, as I didn't know what could happen... I know my wife wouldn't feel safe there. I just about felt safe myself. A woman at breakfast didn't get to sleep til 2.30am on Sat night due to the noise around the place (it's beside a McDonalds drive thru) and it felt like a ghetto to her, which isn't far off the reality. There are other hotels within 2 mins drive that I would highly recommend to stay at as I definitely won't be staying there again.

the bath is so high i nearly fell when coming out of it, breakfast was a big let down with only 1 sausage, 1 bacon ( so rubbery) scrambled eggs( would have like the choose of fried or pouched) hash brown and beans, felt like it was not enough i dont eat anything else and was a big let down for the price of it, the room was ok but would not go back if i was down that end of the country would look for somewhere else

Staff I met were lovely. However he room was clean but also so hot it was unbearable. On booking there was no option as to wether we could manage the stairs which were fairly steep. My sister is registered disabled and we both found the stairs hard to manage. I was also concerned as to the fire safety aspects. We were in room 25 upstairs and in the last room at the end of a narrow aisle. There was only one flight of stairs InThe middle of the building. There were none at the end corners.

I am sorry that the accessibility wasn't good and we do try our best to allocate ground floor rooms for guests if required. Overnite stay
This was an overnight stop to break journey. Booked online via phone. Good range of facilities nearby to eat . Comfortable room. More of a motel vibe than hotel. On arrival we were welcomed with a smile and all staff were cheerful and helpful

Close to the motorway , but quiet in the room. Lots of parking around. Lots of food options nearby. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and hot water in the shower . WiFi worked well. Breakfast was either continental or British . Not lavish , but filling. Would be happy to stay here again.

Friendly staff comfortable no frills hotel.
What stood out was the friendliness of the staff when I checked in. That made up for everything else. I felt it was over priced for what I paid. That could be hotels.com fault. The WiFi is not free only the first 20 minutes.is free. My room was basic and clean but looked a bit old. Compared to a premier Inn. It’s generally no frills. As I was staying only a night it was fine for me and my son, However I would not take my wife there. One great thing is they did not take a security deposit only took £1 off the card as a standard which is refundable. So ignore the small print on hotel.com that they take £20.

Room was damp. Shower taps loose on wall, soap dispenser not fixed correctly, water flow from taps very slow. Carpet in bedroom not clean.
