After driving over 12 hours that day, we quickly checked in at 9 o’clock at the front desk and then went to eat. He arrived back at 10:30 and that’s when we went into our room for the first time. The room we booked smelled like sewage. Since we had 6 of us, they did not have another suite available. We asked if there was availability for other rooms in the hotel. There was no manager on duty, but we asked if we could be moved into two other rooms that didn’t smell like sewage. After the person on duty contacted the general manager, we were told we would not be able to do that unless we paid more for the rooms. It was 11 o’clock at night; by this time and nobody was renting those rooms that night and I said as much. However, they refused to move us unless we paid the additional amount. I refuse to pay them anymore money. The manager was also not there the next morning when we left. I did leave a note. I was not contacted back by phone, but I did get a $50 credit. The person on duty was very nice, but he had no authority. Overall, customer service was not a priority for this property. I would never return.
