Hello Joseph, sorry to hear that you did not have a great sleep on the pull out couch. We will make sure this is addressed as soon as possible. We suggest using a bigger unit for your next visit as we have great 2 bedroom condo that would accommodate everyone in a comfortable bed. Fernie Lodging Company are an accommodation supplier, we are separate from Fernie Alpine Resort and cannot be held responsible for the mountain suspending its operations at such sort notice as stated in the booking terms and conditions: "The Company will not refund and is not liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment, of any nature to guests resulting from events beyond the Company’s control. Examples include, but are not limited to, weather conditions, snow conditions, lift closures, road closures, and flight delays. Travel insurance is highly recommended." Although the resort was closed, Fernie Lodging Company remain operational and your accommodation was still available for you to stay for the additional night that you had requested the day before. We will be taking your concerns over the pool into consideration and increasing staff involvement at the pool, especially on long weekends. Fernie Lodging Company is a vacation rental company and not a hotel, we do not offer complimentary daily housekeeping and we do ask that guests remove their garbage at the end of their stay, similar to an Airbnb. I apologize if this was not communicated well. Overall, we are glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and we would love to have you back!
