Cuando llegamos, nos informaron que había un problema y no podíamos quedarnos allí. Nos consiguieron otra de sus facilidades bastante lejos. El aire acondicionado se dañó, nunca lo repararon, no funcionaba el calentador, ni los receptáculos de las habitaciones. Así que los mosquitos hicieron fiesta con nosotros. Y aunque avisamos el mismo día, nos dijeron que no podían ayudarnos.

Cuando llegué no tenían mis habitaciones disponible, aunque rápidamente me acomodaron en una más grande y al otro día tuve que mudar las cosas a las habitaciones que había reservado. El teléfono del front desk fuera de servicio y deberían publicar otro alterno como un celular. La atención muy buena y la localización.

Good hotel
We stayed in unit 11 and that unit has a great view of the ocean and the hotel is really close to some great beaches. The manager girl is very friendly.

You get what you pay for, it’s okay!
Cozy, simple room with a very soft bed. Everything is pretty old and metal in the bathroom is rusty. Cold water. Good A/C, not that much noise for a March weekend. The price is fair, there is a terrace on the back of the hotel with a view to the water. Would go again.

I don't normally review but based on the fact that I tried to cancel this booking based on ratings, I am. Yes, it's true, totally a no frills hotel. Communication is also spotty. With that being said I have no complaints and also due to circumstance this hotel saved my experience on Culebra. It is directly across from the ferry port and central to everything that is within walking distance. The hotel manager David waived my first night, even with a no cancelation policy, without penalty when we couldn't make the last ferry. He upgraded us to a larger room and away from possible noise without us asking. He offered us recommendations, answered and even helped set up rentals, etc. In Culebra you only need a place to lay your head. You will have no desire to linger in a hotel room. So if you are on a budget and convenience, good customer service are a priorty, definitely stay here.

Exterminators heaven
This place is a dump. We stayed in a 2 bed room unit. There is no on site staff everything is done by email and the phone number given to call upon checkin wasn't the number needed to get in contact with the manager. Had to find a phone number from a shop owner. Once we got the key we went and explored the beaches which were amazing and beautiful. We came back after 9 pm to finally see what our room was like. It was hot and nasty there was 2 window unit air conditions that were in the bed rooms that couldn't cool because the windows were open and broke. So they couldn't be closed. The bathroom was horrible the door was broken in half the shower didn't have hot water or warm water. The fridge had food in it and then the best of all the next day of our 2 day stay the guest came out to say hi. Cockroaches not one or two I'm talking hundreds of the nasty bugs going up the walls near the kitchen. I took my family and we went to our rental jeep and stayed the night. This place if in the United States main land would be condimed,closed and burnt. Humane shelters are cleaner and in better condition. Hotels.com should be ashamed to even offer this hotel to guest. Stay away from this place. Sleep on the beach if you have too. The island is beautiful and the beaches are the best I have seen in a lot of travel.

Next to ferry
Great location PERIOD. Hotel staff were nice. We checked in after landing via ferry. Rooms were different from what we are used to, but was adequate for the stay. The bar downstairs had loud music, which was a concern. Ferry terminal was next door so easy to purchase departure tickets. Everything is accessible from hotel neighborhood. there are rides available to Flamenco, so car rental is optional.

primero llegamos mi esposo y yo y tuvimos una hora y media esperando a que llegara alguien de la recepción nadie aparecia llamaba al dueño que te dejan el teléfono personal por cualquier cosa y no lo cojia hasta que salio una persona que trabaja allí que no estaba en su turno a ayudarnos hizo hasta lo imposible por buscar la llave del cuarto segundo la habitación que me toco no tiene baño dentro del cuarto había que salir del cuarto para poder usar el baño eso fue horrible para colmo se va la luz ese día de mi estancia en el hotel mas o menos a la 1:30 de la mañana si te gusta dormir a gusto sin ruido fuertes no te recomiendo este hotel ya que queda justamente frente a la terminal del ferry y a cada rato tocan bocina los camiones q llegan no hay nadie para que te atienda en caso de una emergencia de verdad que a mi personalmente no me gusto solo lo recomiendo si janguean en Culebra duerme y se va pero no se ve como lo ilustran en las fotos puede mejorar en mas cosas como tambn los receptaculos de la habitación no cargan, la cama rechinaba como si llegara años que no se cambian en las escaleras están deterioradas con pedazos llevados yo en mi opinión creo. que puede mejorar mucho

Good and spacious
It was good spacious and comfortable although it needs a better mattress toaster and stove cause u can only cook one thing at a time. Nice view in front of ferry close to stores and bank.

Close to the ferry and has your essentials
This is a place that is great to dropping off your bags then enjoying everything that Culebra has to offer then going back to sleep in. Definitely a no-frills hotel experience. You're hear to sleep and shower, that's about it. If you go into this hotel with that mentality, you won't be disappointed.

Ugh, ick, but probably best deal on the island..
Previous reviews tell the story... it's a squewed hotel /BnB market in Culebra... it seems EVERYTHING is expensive and many with service/quality issues. Kokomo is an aging property, in decline. Small rooms with barely the basics, badly maintained... the fan didn't work, the sink was about to fall off the wall, the shower curtain didn't reach down to block water from going on the floor; you had to enter then close the door before going into the room b/c of no room, the room wasn't made up between nights; oh and then there were the two roaches, mama roach and baby roach. "Water bugs" if you prefer. But the worst part was the management just didn't seem to care. About the property, about the guests. Yes, we were supposed to shift to a lesser room the second night, and they let us stay, but it was with such lack of customer service or enthusiasm from start to finish. That said, great location right across from the ferry if you're there without a car, walking distance to all the restaurants, shuttle bus to beach at your door; the cleaning staff were cheery and helpful. ... and the ISLAND IS AMAZING! Bring ear plugs and a sense of humor, and this budget option will be 'just fine'.

Nice suite in a great location
Our group of 3 booked one of the upper level suites with a balcony and we really loved it. The living area gave us a fun place to hang out, the ocean views from the balcony were amazing, we were able to cook many of our meals in the kitchen, and we were walking distance to plenty of restaurants when we didn't want to. The reason I only gave it 4/5 is because the place could use some upkeep. The screens kept popping out of the windows, some light switches didn't work, some windows wouldn't close etc. Overall a great value which I would definitely recommend.

If you’re coming to Culebra with the ferry from Fajardo then it’s just cross the street. From the airport, it’s a 15-min. walk. The keys to the room are at the bar (Sandbar) that opens at 3 pm. The bar staff is friendly and helpful. Can’t say anything about the hotel staff as I never saw anyone during my 3 night stay. No one cleaned the room during that time, not that it bothered me that much, just that sand started to accumulate. Rent transportation. There are several beaches on the island and it’s more convenient to drive and you don’t have to carry your stuff. Playa Flamenco has some facilities (toilets, shower, food and drink) while the other beaches have nothing, so remember to bring with you plenty of water and sunscreen. PS. There are snakes on the trail to Playa Brava.

Bathroom is separate from the bedroom. Bathroom had strange odor of garbage/sewage/cabbage. They must have a terrible plumbing problem. Too gross to shower there:-( Bed was uncomfortable, with room only a bit larger than bed.

Kokomo ligger precis vid hamnen och det är egentligen det enda bra jag kan säga om detta "hotell". Stället är gammalt och utslitet, badrummet luktar mögel, under hotellet ligger det en bar/nattklubb vilket man inte får veta i beskrivningen av detta hotell. Ägarna av hotellet/baren ställer ut stora högtalare på baksidan och det spelas sjukt hög musik från 22 till någonstans mellan 2-4 på natten vilket gör att man inte kan sova!!

Worst hotel experience.
Spend a little more and stay at a better hotel while visiting Culebra! Kokomo is very basic, but not in a good way. The room was disappointing - no lamp, ceiling fan didn't work, FULL of mosquitos; the bedding was dingy. The bathroom was outdated and not clean - I wore shower shoes. The shower head sprayed water everywhere and there was a chunk of the ceiling missing. The hotel is SO noisy at night because of the sports bar on the bottom floor. The room was full of mosquitos at night because there aren't windows (just louvers over the opening).

Hotel to stay only if there are no other options
The hotel is very-very simple and absolutely incomparable with what you pay for accomodation and service. Be especially aware of noisy air-conditioner, lack of mosquto nets and loud music on weekends till 2 am. Apart from these, bathroom and guest rooms are quite small and far from being clean. Also, when there is check-out time at 11am, they will disturb you already from 10:30am and stay by the door (it was so really!), so all this annoys...

No parking, Bar downstairs and no AC
Just across the Ferry Station, we had one of the suites, is a 2 bedrooms suite just one of them has AC the other one just have one fan. The Windows can't be closed and downstairs there's a bar so if you have kids this is not the place where you want to be, or you will have to stay awake until they close the bar at around 3 or 4 am. No amenities at all! the manager is a nice guy so in case you need something at least you will have someone to help you.
