Unfortunately, as you said your fiance didn't detect the smell and neither did any of the housekeeping or management team from the hotel. The only place to locate a TV in the room you chose was to the side of the bed. We have put it on a bracket for watching in bed, it can be easily angled if you wish. Most guests probably watch from the comfort of the chairs in the room, which is the direction it faces. So, the positives - views were amazing, breakfast is good - actually its one of the best a la carte breakfasts you can order - we have researched this extensively. Most guests are satisfied with the continental that is put out which includes 7 cereals, freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly squeezed apple juice, grapefruit juice, sparkling and still water, fruit compote, marinated prunes, a selection of pastries, croissants, 3-4 home-made jams and marmalades, a selection of fresh fruit and from the kitchen our porridge and pink grapefruit prepared to order. New for 2019 is a continental plate which can be ordered instead of a cooked breakfast if you wish. Unlimited tea, coffee and toast. So apart from a smell that none of the team could detect, but we aren't saying it wasn't there of course, we are sorry you lost sleep but did you really fairly review us?

Thank you for your feedback, glad you enjoyed the restaurant. The rooms can't really be adjusted for size, we are in a 170 old building that has been converted for hotel use. We do have bigger rooms available, best to contact us in advance to discuss requirements so expectations can be met. Thanks again for commenting. Best regards

Thanks for reviewing. We couldn't find anything wrong with the flush when we checked it and suggested that you may need to firmly flush. Your room has lovely views down onto our garden, yes, the driveway is there too. Can't really comment on your experience in the restaurant, at the time, you didn't raise any concerns. We serve rib-eye which is a thinner cut, we don't serve trout so wonder if you are confusing us with somewhere else.
