Great stay
Swivel on shower head was broken, so had to hold the shower head in order to shower. Everything else was fine. Good location, walking distance to everything. Friendly and attentive staff

Great for overnight stay
Very comfortable suite for a family of six with a well equipped kitchenette. A little unusual as there were no external windows other than Velux skylights, but we were only staying overnight so this did not matter. Slap bang in the middle of Penrith, so seconds away from shops and other eateries. Amazing breakfast in the morning in the restaurant!

Stopped off en route down South and stayed in the apartment. Lovely and clean and spacious. Easy check in. Really enjoyed it. We didn't eat in the restaurant but plenty of takeaways available nearby, and accessible parking at the back of building

Great stay lovely staff.
Friendly welcome by friendly staff. Prompt curteous lovely staff at dinner and bar as well as breakfast. Will visit again. Only downside shower head in room 2, is not great or supported in holder, small issue but others might think more of it.

Basic rooms above a pub - room was musty smelling and dimly lit. Access either through a busy pub or down a unwelcoming side alley way! Central location but I won’t be returning

Friendly staff, quiet location (despite being above a bar, I didn't hear a peep on a Saturday night!) and nice breakfast spread.

Nice folks, great service. Our room was huge and comfortable! No A/C in the rooms, but plenty of fans to keep it an okay temperature. No elevators! Amazing food and kind employees! Would stsy again, just pack light!

Great place to stay.
Lovely hotel to stay in, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Room was just the right size and very comfy and clean. Dinner at night in the bar was really nice and we had a lovely breakfast the next morning. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

Great Hotel
Have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, right in town centre with free parking located behind hotel with just short walk up alley to reach hotel. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Comfortable rooms with huge bathroom. Nice lounge bar on ground floor. If we ever return to Penrith would definatley stay at this hotel again.

i really enjoyed staying here. central location, busy bar but not noisy in the hotel rooms. we were just above the smoking area but didnt hear any noise

Good hotel for a short stay
Great hotel - good staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. The only downside was the poor comfort of the double bed and the velux window in the room that meant that I woke with the light of dawn. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.

Small but modern rooms - great for a short stay
Rooms are modern and clean but too small for anything but a short stay, especially if on business. Duvet was lacking in quality and substance but delightful staff and a really excellent breakfast more than made up for such little quibbles.

Pleasant Stay
Hotel was nice and central and had available parking at the rear of hotel. the Bar area was trendy and had a good vibrant feel about it. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. I had booked a superior double room and thought that the room should be classed as a Basic Double. The room was nice but was a bit small and I did not feel the superiority element of the room although the bathroom was very spacious and clean. If letting rooms as superior then there should be superior qualities as in most other hotels(i.e. Water, Bathrobes, Slippers etc.) Size of bedroom should not be classed as superior in my opinion. Breakfast was excellent and well looked after which was very nice ! I would recommend staying here to anyone interested.

Good location to explore Penrith
We had a family room: double bed, single bed/day bed and roll out bed. Room was very clean and staff behind the bar were helpful at check in. There's a separate breakfast room for breakfast. Service was fast and friendly and freshly cooked breakfast was pretty good. Room was a good size but as it's over a bar it was a bit noisy. We could hear low level music till quite late which wasn't too annoying. However, there was also karaoke/live music and that was very loud at times we were trying to get our children to sleep. Worth bearing in mind if you have light sleepers. The toilet also made noises clearly audible in bedroom constantly with a surge of noise which sounded like it came when other rooms flushed! Decor was nice, tiny kettle slow bit adequate. Took us several laps of Penrith to find the car park off Friargate. Parking is free and breakfast was included, as is wifi but we couldn't get it to work for us!
