The room is clean and the sheets are fresh and clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. The property is dated and going through renovations but the perfect place to stay for a night.

The facility is in the midst of upgrades. Rooms appear to have been refurbished and work is underway for the grounds. Breakfast is still a bag with muffins and fruit but a proper breakfast area has been prepared but apparently not quite ready. We like the atmosphere and plan to return soon,

Property is under repair and renovation. Housekeeper did not come to clean the room for our 2 days stay. Breakfast room was under repair so only carry out breakfast which had very limited options.

I liked that the property was right on the ocean. I liked that the room floors were not carpeted. I liked there was a kitchenette with full size refrigerator. I liked that they had a pool. I liked that our room had its own private balcony. I would have preferred an updated bathroom and nicer kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances. I liked the parks that were driving distance. I would have liked there to have a place to recharge an electric car. Thank you!

The room was good but there was dirt in the floor. The whole building is under construction and still they took the reservation. They should not have done that. There were much more beautiful hotel with this price. Breakfast is nothing, literally nothing.

Location was excellent for seeing ocean and traveling to places we wanted to visit. Quiet except for waves hitting the beach

Not so good
They didn't tell us before hand that they were doing renovations to the building and we walked into a mess. The room was neat but not clean. We had to buy our own swiffer cause the floors were loaded with sand and we couldn't walk around in bare feet. I know we're on the beach but day one and the floor was very sandy.

Clean rooms with convenient location.
Outside of building has a older look with areas looking rather rough. However inside room was extremely clean and well kept. Room with a kitchen was on larger size then most. Beds and bathroom were fine. Smart TV was nice for kids to fall asleep to. Proximity to the beach, 3min walk perhaps to the waves, if that, is hard to beat.

I gave a 4 star rating because property is being remodeled due to last hurricane. My friends and I will come back. Thank you to all the staff there, they did a great job checking in and out. Cleaning staff cleaned our rooms great, Thank you!

Absolutely Amazing
We had the absolute best time here, check in was a breeze. Front desk staff was very friendly. Our oceanfront room was so amazing had a kitchen 2 double beds and a little living room. We absolutely loved sitting on yhe balcony watching and listening to the waves. They are doing renovations, but nothing bothered us. Pool was great and they had access to the beach. Thank you, we will be back!

The property is in transition/rebuilding and upgrading. I do not know if this was storm damage related or updating an older property. That being said, for a budget -friendly stay, our beds were comfortable, the room was fine, and the staff were friendly and accommodating (ran out of coffee a couple times and the staff made fresh right away with a smile). The access to the beach and pool were easy and convenient. There is a "common" area where it is nice to sit beachfront and unwind before bed. Oh, and parking was free and plenty of it, so that's a bonus.

When we checked in the young lady was very nice. I asked her about being able to get coffee because I get up early around 5 or 6 am. She explained that breakfast was not put out until 7 am. I told her all i wanted was to be able to get a cup of coffee. She said coffee would be available. Well, other desk clerks were rude and not friendly. We found out later rhere was no hot water for the shower because of a break. We went to the pool and to be honest it wasn't safe to swim in. We found out that the gentleman who takes care of it slipped and hurt his back. We were also encouraged to only expect room service like we received in our own homes. They would certainly do room service each day but they really hoped we wouldnt. We weren't told of the remodeling project going on either. They worked at night because of the heat during the day. They kept me awake one morning past 2:30 am. So there was our stay...

Die Zimmer sind vom Komfort her gut, aber nicht gereinigt. Dusch- und Badetücher waren nicht vorhanden, wir mussten sie an der Rezeption selber holen. Der Poolbereich mit dem Esstisch und ein paar Stühlen war sehr schmutzig. Auf dem Tisch waren überall Flecken, Essensreste und Müll. Dort hat schon lange niemand mehr aufgeräumt und gereinigt. Am zweiten Tag hat niemand das Bett gemacht oder frische Handtücher gebracht. Das Frühstück ist nur ein süsses Fertiggebäck und etwas Kaffe. Es steht am Morgen an der Rezeption bereit in einer Papiertüte. Das Personal ist schon freundlich, aber der Service minimal. Auch draussen vor den Zimmern hängen lose Stromkabel an der Wand herunter. Wir gehen sicher nicht nochmals dorthin.

The advertisement said oceanfront and breakfast. Which neither was true. I couldn't complain because the phone wae broken. I went to the front office to complain. Which know one reached out to me to help me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

David did a superb job greeting at the front desk! He took time to share local tidbits for restaurants and gulls, etc. Rooms in state of remodel and upgrade. Very clean. Loved the suites with kitchen/dining and separate bedroom with two queens. Bedding very comfortable. Though described "ocean view" the room overlooked a parking, and the beach was distant but you could see some blue. Other guests were families, very quiet and considerate. From the bedroom, there was road noise from front street. Beach access convenient and in a nice area. Ormond does allow vehicles on the beach. Enjoyed my stay.

They had construction going on and the room I thought I booked was not the room I got we picked it due to the tub and shower doors instead we got a regular rub with a rusty shower head.Their parklot needs work it is very confusing and space are super tight.

Excellent quaint old roadside beach hotel!
They don't make hotels like this anymore, and that is sad.. this is a quintessential 60's style roadside beach hotel! It doesn't shine like the big boys down the road, but this hotel has great character. All of the rooms have been renovated and you can't tell you are staying in a budget hotel with large comfy beds, a functional bathroom, plenty of room for storage, a great TV, and most importantly - a view of the beach from my room. The beach was literally a one minute walk from my room, and the pool area was very nice next to the beach! You can tell the hotel is old and an ugly property, but it is extremely functional and convenient! Hotels like this force you to be friendly and have conversations with your "neighbors" - you feel like going with a swim with them, eat with them, go to the beach with them... The staff, especially Robert at check-in on Saturday, was extremely hospitable. I have only two minor complaints - I really didn't like the bag breakfast and I hope they renovate their kitchen soon, and the hotel can't help this, but the beach still seemed damaged from the hurricane that came through last year. I will definitely consider this hotel again if I come back to the area for a vacation in the future, and I will highly recommend this hotel to those who don't mind an old-style hotel.
