Belle Fourche Super 8 Rocks!
This is a comfortable and reliable stay. Halfway between Bozeman and Sioux Falls, Belle Fourche is a unique quaint town nestled at the foot of the black hills. Plain and simply beautiful.

Filthy. Never updated, carpet stains and dust and hair behind headboards. Expected to find bed bugs but surprised when didnt. It looks like maybe 1 person stays there a night, almost abandoned feeling when inside. Would rather stay in vehicle to sleep. Maybe cheap but not worth it, spend the extra money for something that lse.

Carpet was worn and very dirty around the entrance, bedding was worn, holes in the walls where the base board should have been, they still had a toilet from the 60's, big water tank, slow flush. The sign out front was not lit so I drove by the first time. I had three lamps for lighting and only one worked. But the price was only $60 some dollars. you get what you pay for.

The sign was out. Outside lighting was out. Forced to use phone light at night. Free breakfast is not worth the price!

Needs outside lighting and a batbroom! Dark entrances! Not a good place for handicapped people! Stairs to both levels, no elevator!

The halls and entrys are dirty. Carpets in halls stai ed and look like they have not been ed for a long time. The morning breakfast in pretty cheap with not much to coose from. And a receptical in my room did not work.

THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!
I called to reserve a room and the guy quoted me $89. I said whoa that's steep and before I could say anything else the guy Dave said "you don't like my price then go across the street to the Econo Lodge and pay $100. So I hung up because he started saying something else super rude. I looked at hotels.com and found the SAME motel for $60 so I booked it through the app. When I arrived to get my key Dave immediately started cussing me saying it's f'ing bull$#!+ that I am so cheap to book that way and I was ripping him off. I told him to stop cussing me and just give me my room key. He then asked for a card to put on file for Incidentals so I gave my card and he had me sign a paper. I asked for a copy of the paper I signed and he said no it is hotel property! So I started to take a picture of the paper I SIGNED and he snatched it right out of my hands and started to scream at me. At this point his wife came out to see what the fuss was all about. He started telling her I was trying to STEAL the paper I just signed which was NOT the case. So she started screaming at me. At this point they had me in tears because I was so exhausted from driving all day and I didn't have the energy to deal with this crap! I started to look at my phone on the app to see if I could cancel my booking and get my money back and he started accusing me of calling my trucker buddies for help! I tried to tell them what I was doing and they both just kept yelling and cussing! I want my money back!!!

Pros and cons
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable which was most important. Check in staff appeared only “reluctantly accommodating” since I booked via hotels.com vs directly with Super8. Also, be aware this site charges $25 for 1 dog. Stayed at Super8 several places in Montana and charge was $10 or $15. I don’t understand the inconsistency.

Dated, not a big deal, but the clerk upcharged us from the $69 expedia price to $135 when we mentioned we had a dog. I chose this motel because itcwas "pet friendly " on expedia. Buyer beware. Google and call the motel directly if you want the actual rate.

They should have an extra roll of toilet paper in the room . Less than a 1/4 roll was not enough. They should clean the mold off of the bathroom walls. Probably shouldn't store the ice bucket where you crap!
