Not a pleasant stay.
The cleanliness was not proper. Taps were leaking. Floors (Bathroom and Room) were sticky and dirty. Towels were wornout. Linen was average. Room was very small for 2. Will definitely not stay here next time.

Opt for a 2 star hotel
Was located in a prime area, but the streets are too messy. Breakfast is good but remaining items from menu are of not great taste. Check-in and checkout is easy, opt for a 2 star hotel.

One of many budget hotels in the area just to the north of New Delhi railway station & the metro. Handy for airport line & yellow line. Area is extremely busy during the day & evening. Walkable from the station, although by tuk tuk from the metro, because of the road layout, you have to go a long way round. Room was clean & reasonably large.

Not treated correctly, will not stay here again!
Have stayed at this property for many years, usually several times a year fro several nights each time. The place is pretty simple but is clean and a good value. Close to all Delhi sight seeing. Area is safe though congested and often loud, even at night. Don't let this detract you from staying here for these reasons though. Have decided that this will be my last visit to the hotel despite the years of service it has given me. My decision came instantly when I was severely overcharged for a taxi to the airport before hours and essentially had no choice but to accept the price. If they are more than willing to rip off a customer who has been visiting for many years and given a lot of business, I am better off being in a newer facility with similar cost as there are many others from which to choose.

Average hotel with good access to Delhi station
Clean room with decent bed. Bathroom was a large wet room which is fairly standard in India but still a nuisance. Room service was very good and all food and drink was tasty and well presented, as was breakfast. Downside was constant noise from reception and room service telephones situated on each floor.

Personel très acceuillant et à l'ecoute proche de la gare, tres pratique quand on arrive en train, même si la zone n'est pas vendeuse pour un sou. Room service très efficace, bon petit dejeuner mais il faut traverser la rue pour aller dans un autre hotel...

Showing some age but staff is still great!
Have stayed at this hotel over the years and reviewed it too. But after staying at another nearby property for a few nights, I may have to rethink staying here and longer.Problem is, Have grown attached to some of the staff and the neighborhood as well. My gripe - the rooms are showing age and are in need of remodeling. The rooms are still tidy, complimentary breakfast is a nice touch to and over the years the price, in my opinion, is reasonable.What to do?

年代比较久的酒店
从装修可以看出以前是很不错的酒店，不过年代久了，装修和房间设施都觉得好像上个年代的东西。wifi 要钱，开了之后就可以几个人一起用了。

Wi-Fi fungerte dårlig. Vi bestilte et familie-rom på forhånd ved hjemreisen, da vi var tilstede fikk vi beskjed om at alle familie rommene var bortleid. Vi måtte ta to enkle rom med 1000,- irup mer i prisen. Det var jo deres feil, kunne vi minste fått for samme prisen.

Renovations in room - new decor, linens, paint, etc made for a nice surprise at this budget property. I have come to count on this hotel for great, personal service but the upgrades are appreciated. Fast free WiFi, basic amenities, hot running water at all times I used it, frigid A/C, clean comfortable room in a central location.

Less than average hotel in New Delhi
The hotel is located in a crowded locality near New Delhi Railway Station. The road is narrow and the traffic is a mess. People throw trash everywhere and cleanliness of the neighborhood is very poor. The hotel reception area is not bad but the room I was given was not clean, mattress, bed sheets and towels were not good. You would need to carry your own sheets and towels for sure. You would need to walk to another hotel on a small lane to get your complementary breakfast.

l'hôtel était très bien, malgré un mélange des genres entre la portion rénovée et celle qui ne l'est pas. Le service est bien, et le petit déj inclus est pris dans un autre hôtel de la chaîne. On vous y transporte gracieusement et là-bas, c'est beaucoup plus chic et excellent.

Always seem to return here
They know me by name - I stay here approx every 2 to 3 months. It has become a home away from home. Clean, comfortable, basic. Could be nicer but has the standard services needed and everything is nearby including sights and adjoining neighborhoods and shopping such as bazaars and Karol Bagh, etc. My rate included complimentary breakfast which was fine. A/C was frigid and with ceiling fan on would create a blizzard if one desired, great in summer. Hot water plentiful. Complimentary paper daily. Used laundry service with excellent result. Very pleased overall. Will continue to stay here. Only issue is with travel desk which will quote different taxi rates than front desk. Both over priced in my opinion and one would do best to find alternate transportation if at all possible.

Une excellente impression. Nous avons eu droit a un service impeccable. Les renovations effectues a l"hotel rendent le lieu accueillant. Le quartier ou il se situe ne paie pas de mine, mais les taxis sont nombreux et tres abordables, donc il est facile de rejoindre les points d"interet de Delhi.

De kamer was netjes. De bedden zijn iets harder dan wat wij in Nederland gewend zijn maar het is te doen. Het werd iedere dag schoongemaakt. Ieder etage heeft eigen schoonmaakmedewerkers. Ze zijn bij vragen meteen te bereiken. De airco maakte wel wat herrie. De locatie is erg goed en centraal gelegen. Met een auto ( zo wordt de tuktuk 3-wieler genoemd) betaal je ongeveer Rs 50 om naar de dichtstbijzijnde metro te gaan. Heel Delhi is met de metro te bezichtigen.

Avoid this place at all cost. It's a scam. The room they showed me was not even completely renovated. No paint on the wall. I have seen cleaner furniture thrown on street. Absolutely pathetic. I was told there are over 5000 similar hotels in this area of New Delhi and most of them are scams likes this one. Staff kept making noise throughout the night. I think the bed sheets and comforter were never washed. Very dirty. Breakfast was included but I had to walk to another hotel to have my breakfast. Location is horrible. Was not at all safe for women. Extremely dirty. Very lazy and dirty staff.

部屋がデラックスルームにアップグレードされていたからかも知れないが、とても室内はきれいだった。スタッフの対応もよく、満足できた。 朝食は、徒歩一分の系列ホテルのレストランでとるため、フロントでチケットを発行してもらう必要がある。

Hotel OK for short stay
We stayed two nights at the hotel. The room was relatively clean and comfortable and the heating worked, which was great as it was quite cold outside. The hotel manager was very keen on helping us with booking of trips to further destinations in India and he seemed to be upset, even impolite when he got to know that we decided to book with another agency. Otherwise the hotel was quite good value for the money.

It's ok, but would pick a different one next time
The hotel was good enough for India, but the service wasn't good. The front desk didn't give us a good suggestion on the tour and what to do. They gave us only one option: a tour with them that was very expensive. Our room was next to the elevator, so it was very noisy. The guy that showed us the room (which we didn't ask for!) insisted a tip and wasn't happy with what we gave him. The hotel needs more English speaking personnel.

Overall good but...
Its a nice enough place to stay, some of the staff were excellent and very helpful, whilst the location is very convenient to the New Delhi train station its not the most salubrious of neighbourhoods. The only major issue I had was when I tried to book a taxi to the airport. The travel desk tried charging me R700, one hundred of which he put in a draw saying it was for the use of the computer which I'd been offered free use of to check in for my flight. I got it back when I told him that was unfair and then ordered a taxi myself which charged only R400. This is a shame as most of the other members of staff were very good.

It was ok
The hotel is ok but the staff are not good. Wanted to charge me 17.45% for using a credit card luxury tax and when i said i wasnt paying it was just dropped. I also had a problem getting a taxi to the airport after that 600 INR when they collected me it was 180 INR. I got a taxi to to the airport for 350 INR from down the road. I was not left put this charge on the card as i think myself (somebody wanted a few ruppes for them selfs.

NEW DELHI駅から近いですが、結構人通りが多いです。部屋のグレードについては、普通のビジネスホテル程度です。接客内容にしても、可もなく不可もなくといった感じでした。立地的にも、早朝のNEW DELHI駅発の電車に乗る前の前泊の場合であれば、無難な選択肢の一つにはなると思います。

部屋は壊れているところが多いしフロントの対応も雑。最初部屋に入るときに「お茶いるか？」と聞かれてサービスだと思い頼んだら、チェックアウトのときにお金取られた。 クーラーはうるさいしなぜか電源をOFFにできなかった。もっと調べれば分かったのかもしれないが、使い方の案内等もなかった。全体的に不親切。 二度と使わない。

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night. Staff is good, rooms are clean. Location of Hotel is very close to New Delhi Railway Station, Metro Station and Bus Depot. Taxi available from Hotel Travel Desk. Food and room service are nice and quick.

Visited Chanchal Continental in August 2012. The room was not cleaned once in the period of stay (3 days). It was okay for us but as they consider themselves as a hotel and not a lodge/guest house, we think they should clean in. The wifi server did not work on our floor and they were not able to fix it even though they tried. The included breakfast is served at a nearby hotel which is okay and nicely air conditioned. At the time of departure they tried charging 600 RS for the taxi to airport service which is almost twice the price of the prepaid server the other way (320 RS). The room was nicely air conditioned so we had some great time in Delhi!

Old friends wrinkle too!
Have stayed at this hotel many, many times over the past couple of years. Has gone from a crisp, clean and comfortable budget showcase to an old friend that is showing some wear. The staff and familiarity is what brings me back. The rooms are exceptionally clean, but the linen needs to be updated and/or freshened. White can only get so dingy before it needs to be changed. This, the throw pillows were tucked in the closet without their coverings, presumably they were being cleaned? Did get a brand new bath towel to use - the purchase tag hadn't even been removed. So, question is - is it simply time for a new "dig" or a little "mental botox" - that is, find a new place to call home on the road or stick with what is familiar and had been comfortable? One added plus for the area - WiFi speed was very good at this hotel compared to others I stayed in close by. Room service was excellent in all regards. No pushy travel desk either - there if you need them, not a hassle if you don't.
