Meh, don't bother
Not a very good property, we booked a few days in advance mistakenly, and they refused to cancel and refund, even though it was the end of the season and there was no way that the property was going to be sold out. I tried several times to get a refund, through hotels.com, from property directly, neither party wanted to help or take responsibility for helping me, turly disappointing.

We apologize for your frustration William. Both Hotels.com and our records show there was no notice of cancellation, so your reservation was considered a no-show. We tried calling you the next day to help rectify the situation, but we could not reach you.

Room was comfortable but very small shower. There is room for a small table in the bathroom and it is much needed for toiletries

Wonderful cabin to stay in. Cold rainy night but the heat warmed the building up quickly and the bed and blankets and pillows were so comfortable. Shower and bathroom was perfect. My only comment is I would like a table lamp or two instead of just bright overhead lighting. Not a big deal just a suggestion. Beautiful setting too.

The are was nice and quiet and you could walk around and take in the Alaskan mountains. Wifi was a bit iffy in the rooms, but worked well enough to stay connected the entire time.

Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Denali area! There's a stream/river that runs by the cabins and it's really cute. There's a cafe with a full breakfast, brunch, lunch/dinner menu. The cabins are clean, you feel like you are in the middle of nature with easy access to the highway all at the same time. Approximately an 15 minute drive from the main Denali commercial area.

Very well located for exploring Denali. I would stay here again next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped organize the program. The facilities of the local restaurant are very good. We were in the new lodge section which was perfect. Nice big room, equipped with everything.

The restaurant was excellent. Staff super friendly. Outside walking path we enjoyed. Beautiful area to sit and have appetizers along the River with heaters.

Our family stayed at this hotel (paid $418 for a 2 queen bed room), Denali Park Village Lodge (paid $373 for a 2 queen bed room) and Backwoods Lodge (paid $250 for a 2 queen bed room). While this hotel and Denali Park Village Lodge were closer to the park entrance (both about a 10 minute drive) vs the Backwoods Lodge and offered some amenities (such as a restaurant), the Backwoods Lodge was a better value (but had no restaurant and was about 30 minutes drive from the park entrance). The rooms for all 3 hotels were comparable. Given that the Backwood Lodge was materially less expensive, i would go with it. Note: The Denali Park Village Lodge is NOT in the national park; the name is a bit misleading. As noted above, it is about a 10 minute drive south of the park entrance. I don't think there are any hotels in the park itself.

The restaurant was amazing. Such great food! The room was depressing and stark. For the money we paid, I wish it was nicer. Even just some photography on the walls of the beautiful mountains, rivers, and wildlife would have helped.

We loved our two night stay here! This place is a hidden gem - located just a few miles from Denali NP and close to many activities in this area. It was the perfect retreat after a long day of sightseeing and activities. We had a creekside cabin - loved sitting outside on our little porch and listening to the water and having the window open during the night. The staff was amazing, bakery amazing (still dreaming of the blueberry scone), restaurant amazing (halibut and chips). Next to Panorama Pizza across Carlo Creek to enjoy a pizza and few drinks. You won't be disappointed if you choose McKinley Creekside.

We loved our stay! The cabins are so new and clean, we stayed right by the creek. Kept our windows open so we could hear the water flowing. Easy to get to Denali park entrance. The restaurant was excellent, we didn't go anywhere else during our stay. We had breakfast and dinner each day here. Would definitely recommend this place. If there were 6 stars, they would get 6!!

Rustic cabins along a mountain stream. The staff was very helpful. The food in their cafe was very good along with a great bakery. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there while on a bucket list trip to Denali. The staff in the cafe took great care of us on that special day.

Great cabin, location to Denali NP, and wonderful restaurant! Best Strawberry rhubarb cake I have ever had and we went back the next morning and ate it again for breakfast! I would have purchased the entire pan if we were not traveling on vacation. LOVED the greenhouse. We took pictures since we were building one in the fall. We spent some time walking among the creek. An amazing stay!

The cabins were comfortable in a beautiful riverside setting. The restaurant was excellent. All around great place surprised to not have discovered this place until now. Will probably be our main place to stay when we visit Denali. We are local Alaskans and come relatively often in the open season.

Absolutely amazing!! The cabin we stated in was perfect and right beside the creek. It was immaculate and well thought out.Service from the team was fabulous and the food in the cafe was really good & tasty. Only 6 minutes from the Husky Homestead and just under 20 minutes to the main park

The lodge was a hotel type experience. Brand new and clean, with lots of little supplies provided like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper plates, utensils, napkins, welcome gift of peanut butter fudge and trail mix! Pizza place right next door open late was an added bonus since not much else around for dining. Heard great things about the cafe on property so was bummed it was closed for the season. Overall, great place to stay, pretty river along property and lots of seating to enjoy it, even if weather is bad, since there is a brand new covered pavilion with a grill. Looks like a great spot for a party!
